When hit on the sweet spot these are the most pure irons I've ever hit! Very forgiving off of mis-hits. I built my set with dsg s300 shafts and golfsmith grips. I'm now able to work the ball both left and right with little difficulty. Excellent clubs that give you extra confidence based upon the thin top line and solid feel at impact! Customer Service Pretty good service if you get a rep that really knows how to build clubs. Similar Products Used: Lynx black cats, Ping eye twos, Callaway |

Golfsmith Forged Blades
This was my fifth set in just over a year. I had gone though Ping Zing 2s, Wilson Fat Shafts, Ping ISIs, Callaway X12s and Titleist DCIs. Never felt that I could handle a blade. Bought these cheap on Yahoo and have not had the Pings back out of the attic. The feel is something you have to experience. I feel they are forgiving. Shafts are Dynamic Gold S200. Best clubs I have ever hit. Highly recomend. Similar Products Used: Titleist DCI, Ping ISI |

GS Tour Cavity forged (3-7i)
I put together a mixed set of Tour Cavity Forged in the long and short irons and the GS forged blades in the short irons with Rifle 6.0 shafts. I've played these for a full 1.5 seasons. Amazingly soft feel. The fit and finish on these clubs are top notch. Crome is very durable. These irons provide an awesome combination of forgiveness and accuracy. They have no noticable off-set- these are point and shoot irons. The ball goes where you hit it. So if you leave the club face open, you will hit a slice. These clubs are very forgiving for a players club You can hit the ball all over the face and get good results. The blades in the short irons are a must for chipping and pitching. Great value. Most OEM forged clubs cost 2x as much. Similar Products Used: None |

The best i have hit period. Played several blades but these are winners. Took them out to the course without ever hitting a single ball and was 2under after 12 holes before weather moved in and i moved out. Not bad for getting used to on the go. I didn't miss a beat with these. Accuracy, surprising forgiveness, A++! Haven't really tried working the ball much yet but so far i like them alot and the TA3's are in the closet. Try them, easy to build your self and save big. Nothing hard about building clubs especially with steel shafts. Founded in the same factory as the Mizunos and i think they are just as good at half price. Customer Service Not very good really. They wont tell ya about specials and slow gettting orders out. Payed for 2 day air and they shipped it 5 days later once. No backorder either. Just put it in box and ship it. Customer service sucks. Huge co. They don't care if you come back or not. Try complaining sometime. If i lived close enough i would have been down there quickly to roll some heads. Make sure you get everything you want so you only order once. these are the best clubs for anyone who is a good ball striker they are made in the same factory as the mizuno blades but they are $400 cheaper, i built these myself and i have the dgs300 w/ sensecore in them with lampkin cross line grips. if you love the feel and workabilty of a forged blade then these are the best clubs out there, just go to golfsmiths website and order a 5 or 7 iron and make you a club and you will be hooked thats what i did i orderd a 5 iron and after that i sold my 990's, give them a try Customer Service golfsmith is always fast and very friendly Similar Products Used: hogan apex , macrgregor tounreys 1983 titleist forged |

GolfSmith Forged Blades
THE BEST Blade! So soft and straight and easy to hit, I can now see why these have a cult following. I thought I'd be buried with my MP-14s, so orgasmic was a center hit, but these blades have a bigger sweetspot the size of a quarter at least, vs a dime for the Mizunos. The feel is similar, plus the Golfsmiths are easier to work both ways since they have less offset. I had a tough time fading my MP-14s into a fade pin position, and they sometimes drew away from a pin. The shaft is key, however, and I tried both the Rifle Flighted and the TriGold before deciding the TriGold is vastly superior in the feel catagory. Thanks to Jason Bonner for his right-on recommendations! Similar Products Used: Hogan Apex, Mizuno MP-14, MacGregor Tourney, Wilson Staff, Maxfli Australian, Lynx Black Cat Staff, Ping |

Just switched from Maxfli Australian Blades to these. Way more forgiving without much loss of feel or workability. Easier to draw, but a little harder to cut than my previous set. High and low, however are no problem. If you aren't hung up on "prestige" brands, these are a great sleeper set. Similar Products Used: None |

Golfsmith Tour Cavity Forged
As an addict of the game of golf, I have gone through a myriad of different sets of clubs in my attempt to find the perfect set. Indeed, my friends have always kidded me about the amount of time and money I've spent tinkering around with new sets of irons. I had this set built by a friend who knows golf clubs, and how to make them. I put Dynamic steel shafts (stiff) on them, and some high quality Golf Pride grips. I truly spared no expense on these clubs, which I suggest all club makers do. It pays off not going cheap on shafts and grips, in the long run. I ordered these particular clubs to have a set of cavity backs to fall back on, since I play a nasty little set of Hogan Apexs that are throwbacks from the '80's. I figured I'd add a little distance by increasing the shaft lengths. Guess what? It worked. These clubs look and feel like "Tour" quality clubs. I'd like to think of them as the custom irons equivalent to that of DCI's. There that good. They have great aesthetics, and one can't help but feel comfortable standing over the ball. My advice is to order a set of these cavitys, and spend the extra money on quality shafts and grips. Next, get someone who really knows how to make clubs. These clubs aren't exactly cheap so if you don't know or aren't sure how to properly put clubs together, this is not the set to experiment on. However, these clubs are truly champagne dreams come true. Similar Products Used: Golfsmith Forged Irons, DCI's, and Hogan Edges |
