Dynacraft Hypersteel 19
I bought my first set of custom clubs from CustomClubsofFrederick.com about two years ago. I still play pretty much the same way I always have because I just can't find the time to practice, but I do believe getting custom clubs can help. At that time, I also ordered two Dynacraft Hypersteel Fairway Woods -- which is what I wanted to really talk about. These clubs are amazingly easy to hit. I have the Regular Dynacraft Graphite Shaft. Having initially set them aside shortly after purchasing them, I pulled them out of the closet two weeks ago, and have been enjoying them ever since -- so much so, I'm getting ready to order two or three more. Both the 19 and 22 degree clubs shoot as straight as an arrow. I'm hitting pretty much every landing zone I'm aiming at -- which is a far cry from the Synchrons these are replacing. And I've been able to use them from the rough, tight lies and fairway sandtraps, as well. Really amazing for a dismal golfer, like myself!! Highly recommended. Customer Service If you're in Maryland and considering custom clubs, talk to Mike at CustomClubsofFrederick.com. He's not the cheapest guy around, but I was very happy with his service. I'm just a customer -- not affiliated in any way. He uses a great swing analyzing computer. Similar Products Used: Synchron (original model -- starting to pull-hook these, but they did help to correct a slice). Synchron II (I have a tendency to push these to the right). |

Hypersteel 19* with BiMatrix S-flex
(my second review here) I've learned some things about this club that are important for new buyers to consider before buying. THE ROUNDED SOLE REQUIRES YOU TO TAKE A DIVIT ON EVERY SHOT, unlike many fairway woods where you can sweep the top of the turf. This isn't a factor in the rough, but is essential from tight fairway lies. Mentally, you need to imagine you are hitting a long iron. If you don't take a divit, it's possible to hit an off-center strike either far left or far right. Even a slight off-center strike can result in a bit of a push to the right. Essentially, the ball comes off the face too close to the sole. But, by taking a divit the ball strikes off the upper part of the face, which yields a long, high, accurate shot. Hypersteel 19* BiMatrix S-flex
This is club wonderfully solid, accurate, and easy to hit. You'll pay more for the BiMatrix shaft, but it's worth it. All the control of steel with out the harshness, plus some distance benefit of graphite. Has a lower trajectory than with other shafts, but I play on windy courses, so I don't mind. It has a reliable 205 yd carry. The deeper face and sole camber vs. my old TriMetal make it more usable from difficult lies (esp. deep rough). Customer Service GREAT -- customgolf.com is super! Far more accurate, consistent and forgiving than coventional fairway woods and much more reasonably priced than K2K's, Recscue Woods and other hybrid/utility clubs on the market. EVERY person I have let hit ONE shot with mine immediately says they want one of their own...from women, beginners to club pro's. This is the easiest club to hit I have ever swung. Dynacraft Hypersteel
I decided to try this club by purchasing it from a golfer on another message board. It is the 19* with a Rifle 6.5 steel shaft. I was looking to replace my 2 iron/5 wood club. This club is becoming one of my favorite in the bag. I've only had it a week, but it has already earned its keep. It is a very versatile club. It can be used off the tee, from the fairway, from the rough, around the green, for a punch shot, and more. I played my home course with it in the bag for the first time this weekend, and used it off the tee 5 times on par 4s that require accuracy over distance. I was able to get between 230 and 240 out of it, and each time the ball split the fairway. I was able to hit some low punch type shots that rolled forever. It's also very useful from thickish grass around the greens. It seems to be easier to control than typical fairway woods (3) on those types of shots. Similar Products Used: None |

19deg Hypersteel
O.K. it looks kinda odd, but it does work very well from the rough and even the deep stuff. I made mine (19*) with a Rifle 6.0 shaft and trimmed it as a 5 Wood Length 40.5". Used it 6 time sduring my last round and it delivered every time! Used from the first cut all the way into a Nasty lie that I would have been hard pressed to get much more than an 7-8 Iron on. The weight and shape of the sole must be the key factor in the design of these, as the ball shot out of any lie that I tried with plenty on it. 195 Yards, medium rough, flew high andinto the center of the green. Can't complain about that. It seems to be a bit more touchy from the clean/tight fairway lie however. I would recommend that it get a look from anyone who is looking for a good Utlilty type club to replace the 2 or 3 iron in the bag. It's available in 16, 19 & 22 deg lofts and more are coming. ( I believe a 13,11D(driver) and maybe a 25). Good performance at a good price. Probably best with steel shafts. Dynacraft Hypersteel Fairway Woods
This club is Dynacraft's rendition of Kasco's way overpriced K2K woods. From the standpoint of price, Dynacraft's version wins out. But, I demoed, I believe it was a 17 degree wood with an Apache Graphite Shaft. With the graphite, I wasn't all that impressed with the club. It was way too light for me. I also found the clubhead was too small for me, and there was no alignment aid. So, I would like to try the club with a steel shaft and see what happens. I do believe however, that this is a club for a golfer with a slow, smooth swing and not for aggresive, quick swings Similar Products Used: None |

Hypersteel 19 degree
I have purchased many component clubs before and the fit and finish of this club was superior. I installed a Dynalite Gold s300 at the recommended 6-wood length. The club is awesome! I can hit very high shots that sit better than any long iron, or hit it low if I have to. The entire face seems to be the sweet spot. It is the best club I have ever hit from tight lies, but also performs well from the rough. I will be adding another, but I haven't decided between the 13 and the 16. I would recommend this club to anyone who is not perfectly happy with their 5 wood or 2 iron. Customer Service AA++ The web site has a forum moderated by two product experts.Questions are answered within an hour on most occasions. Hypersteel 22* w/ R300
i bought this for cheap off of a website, b/c i needed something to replace my 3/4 irons. The Hypersteel flies higher/longer/straighter than my best long iron shots, and does it CONSISTENTLY. Great off the tee on short par 4's, long par 3's and whatever else you need it for! Similar Products Used: None |
