Dunlop "No Problem" Irons
After reading reviews I bought these at Wal-Mart for $95. They have lived up to my expectations and have helped improve my game. I can liken them most to the Callaway X-14s. With the 5-iron, I can hit a beatiful draw about 175-180 yards. Even mishits tend to get downrange. I may shoot 90s and 100s, but that is because I hit my drives into the woods and 3-putt a lot. My iron play is solid, thanks in part to these inexpensive but solid irons. Similar Products Used: Callaway X-14, Dunlop Quatro Pro, Wilson 1200, Affinity (Intech) |

Dunlop DDH 431OS Irons
After ten years, it was time to replace my old set of irons. I settled on Dunlop's DDH 431OS Irons, steel shaft, stiff flex. Immediately I've noticed an increase in distance by one-half to one club length. The low center of gravity helps me swing thru the ball, resulting in longer, straighter shots to the green. My confidence level is still on the climb. I'll be shooting in the 70's by Summer's end! Customer Service Contacted Dunlop thru their Webpage for brochure prior to purchasing - had the info by week's end. Similar Products Used: Nicklaus, MacGregor |

Bought these irons thinking that they would improve my game somewhat, and they have. Great for a golfer just starting out, I would say. I like that the loft of each iron is printed right there, and these clubs are a lower loft than most, but the short irons really get the ball airborne. I even hit the pitching wedge (46 degrees loft) 110-120 yards off the tee on a short par 3. The tops of the club heads are thin, giving you a better idea of where you are addressing the ball. The shafts wont blow you away with their performance, and instant regripping may be necessary, but these are overall great clubs for the money, and are definitely recommended, not just by me, but some club pros too, as a great "intermediate" iron set. I tried virtually hundreds of irons at a computerized fitting outlet and I was going to spend up to £500 but I just liked the feel of these. They really do feel like quality and I have improved all aspects of my ironplay shaving six strokes on average round my local golf courses. They are designed for the high to mid handicapper but my friend who is a club pro used these over nine holes and shot 4 under. |

These irons, with their large clubfaces and seemingly durable build, suit my needs as a beginning golfer just fine. I paid less than $200 for 3-pw, so I can't expect much. The cheap grips have to go. Similar Products Used: None |

As a beginning golfer these clubs were recommended to me. They were excellent, good shafts and quality stainless heads. I later moved to a more expensive set of McGregors and regreted it, they actually weren't as good (to me). I have since moved on, but remember these clubs fondly. Tried a graphite shafted set once and didn't like 'em. Didn't like the driver much either, but the irons were great. Similar Products Used: Brosnan,McGregors,Wilson,Ping |
