I demoed quite a few different sets of clubs including the Cobra II with all three shaft types and fell in love with the graphite. I got lucky and picked up a used set (of which the 5 and 3 iron were the only ones that looked like they'd been hit) for $300. Best money I've ever spent on golf. Used to hit my 7 and 3 irons both 150 yds... (ping knockoffs) and sliced. Now I can expect 150 from my 8-9 iron and 210+ from my 3. Great clubs!

I was in the market for a new set of irons last year. I borrowed a friend's set of King Cobras and went out and shot a round in the low 80's. I fell in love with the feel of these clubs so I went out to buy a set for myself but most stores no longer carry this particular model. I went on EBAY in order to aquire a set for myself. I went from shooting low to mid 90's to shooting low 80's in my golf league.
I can't say enough about thses clubs. They just have a really solid feel to them.

I found these irons to be very forgiving with their offset. I found these clubs to be longer than most, though I've only hit the set at the driving range a few times. Great club for the mid to high handicapper but I can see this club's limitations at shaping draws. Simply put, you cannot hook the ball with these. On the other hand, you can insert a nice fade into your shot with relative ease. I was hitting a 7 iron consistently 165-170 at the range, easily adding 10-15 yards to each shot. Though distance isn't your main concern with irons, it is nice to not have to pull out the 3 or 5 wood every time on a long approach.

Nice clubs with good feel. The shape keeps club from digging into ground if you have steep swingplane. Distance is average... I would stay away from graphite shafts because they are notorious for breaking. I sold mine recently because they are not very customizable. They cannot be bent more than 2` upright and of course I needed 3`. Bought secondhand these would be great for beginners or for 2nd set.

Customer Service

I sent them back to Cobra to bend 2` upright without a problem.

Bought 3 years ago...love them. So consistant and easy to hit sweet. Keep hiting newer model clubs but can't find any that play as well. Wedges, especially gap and sand, will definately make you deadly around green. Guess I will just stick with these until they fall apart.

Customer Service

Broke a shaft on my 2 yr. old KC Ti driver, cobra replaced in a week no ??S asked, no charge, and arranged free pick up and delivery from local shop. GREAT SERVICE

Being fairly new to golf I was having real problems with any irons longer than a 7. My scores were regularly in the high 90's and I very rarely hit the greens in regulation. Since I started using these clubs, I have knocked 10 shots of my score and very rarely fail to hit the ball correctly. I am now on the look out for the matching woods.

Model Reviewed: King Cobra 2 forged

KC2 oversized forged, dynamic gold s300 sensicore shafts. Great club for feel although the sensicore tends to offset it a bit. Clubs are easier to draw than fade. Misses loose some distance but keep their line well. Overall probably the best clubs i've used.

Definitely a good club, one of the most forgiving out there, especially for the money spent. These are also quite long, so be prepared to shoot lower.

Paid $300 for these used, along with a 8.5 degree driver for $150. I have owned the IQ graphite versions for over a year. I went from a slice with my old irons to a really pretty shaped draw with these clubs. Hit the 6 iron 180-190, the 4 iron 200+. Wow, they are long, straight and get the ball up, up, up. Once hit the 4 iron over a 100 foot tree, to the green, from 195 yards. The ball never comes down. Only regret is my swing speed demands a stiff flex or a steel shaft. These Regular Flex graphites do produce a hook, (or is that me?) but a fade is hard and a slice impossible. If you fade or slice your current clubs, these will have you hitting a straight, high shot all day. Maybe even a draw. I love the "rainbow" trajectory these clubs produce. Buy them!

Broke 7 iron and Driver shaft. Both were replaced within a week at no charge to me.

Model Reviewed: King Cobra II - hump graphite shaft, stiff

Was fixated on purchasing Callaway X14's until I tried the King Cobra II that my roommate had. I immediately liked the slimmer topline, and the incredibly long distance (strong lofted). I think its almost as forgiving as the X14s. Very easy to swing, and its almost impossible to slice. Most shots were perfectly straight, or with slight draw.
If I had tons of money, I might still buy the X14's, but at the price that's available used, KC II's are an incredible value!
