It is very forgiving you can miss it heel or toe and the balls still rolls the right distance. The putter also lines up to the target very nicely and its easy to bring back and forth on that line. I'll keep this short and sweet. I purchased 4-PW with DG S300 shafts. I demoed these clubs with X100 shafts and really liked them. They felt soft and penetrating, but in my head, the X100 shaft were a bit much. At 50 yrs old, the S300 shafts were the ticket. Found them on EBAY at around $250, new. I agree with others, that you don't need have a low handicap to hit these well and they look great in the bag and at address. The S300 shafts flex out at 5.7 - 5.8 at a std length. I thinks the S300 shafts feel great without the aid of the sensicore technology which I don't understand with forged heads. If you want to try a new forged club and not spend a ton of money, look into these clubs.

I bought these six months ago and was impressed with everything but the shafts. To sell clubs purportedly aiming at 0-10 handicappers with a regular R300 Sensicore shaft as standard is madness. With a regular flex, these clubs felt like liquorice and I could only hit drawing moonballs. It's a shame because otherwise they're long, forgiving clubs which give great feedback. My advice would be to try before you buy and think carefully about the choice of shaft. Only someone with a very, very slow swing speed who tends to fade the ball can get away with regular flex.

Switched from ping eye 2 BeCu due to extensive wear on the grooves, rusty inside of the shafts and a mysteriously vanished PW. Liked the medium sized head ping offered, the look was quite apealing and I always felt comfortable with those sticks. Only thing I disliked was the off-set.

Searched for a clean looking, smaller clubhead and the Cobra forged CB has the looks, thin topline, marginal off-set, soft feel and the lower trajectory i was looking for. Slighly less prizy than the big Acushnet brand Titleist, same quality experience though.

The soft feel might come from the DG Sensicore shafts that dampens unwanted vibrations, but also from the fact that when striking a ball with a smaller head the difference between finding the sweet spot and miss-hits is smaller. You simply try harder to find the sweetspot, you focus more concentrated compared to a bulkier, fatter shovel head, otherwise the result will be less than satisfying. At least that is my opinion on the never ending "forged equals buttery feel compared to the harsh feel of cast". Since forged heads are often smaller than game improvement clubs. (I experienced feeling practically nothing when striking my old cast BeCu Pings dead center very often, and this feeling of "nothing" is said to be the holy grail of forged clubheads. (Please correct me if I´m wrong).

The lower more controlled trajectory I was looking for is probably there because of a higher center of gravity and the DG sensicore shafts with a higher kick-point. Thus resulting in a lower ball flight.

Overall the CB forged are a forgiving (thanks to the cavity back, hence Cobra CB) no nonsense, perhaps even a so called players club (good to know the day I become a true player) with nice, clean looks and does the job very well if you have a decent repetetive functional swing. Fairly easy to handle as long as you don´t get intimidated by the fact it´s forged and aimed towards 10 hcp and lower. Also takes some time to get used to the extra lenght these clubs deliver compared to my old Pings, however this is only due to stronger lofts and not to the "new-club-in-the-bag" hokus pokus syndrome. The thing with these clubs, for me, is that I´m convinced I cannot blame a bad result on my equipment.

Overall rating based on my current skills (hcp 9,5) and ease of use, feeling, set-up and controll compared to the brands listed under similar producs used.

I recently upgraded my Taylormade 320's with the Cobra Forged CB irons. What a difference!! The fact of the matter is that I really liked my Taylormade clubs. I had reshafted them, regripped them and kept them in excellent shape. I really didn't think that there was that much difference between clubs and I would end up keeping my old clubs. Boy was I wrong!!!I could not have been more surprised at the difference in feel between my old clubs and the new Cobra Forged CB's. I had never had the pleasure of hitting forged irons before. Like a lot of people I was under the impression that if you don't shoot around 72 then you should not attempt to hit forged irons. Let me give my opinion here: If you are any kind of ball striker at all you will immediately feel a great difference between forged and cast clubs(especially older cast clubs like I had!!!) Almost every review you read will say that forged clubs have a great feel to them but it is really something you have to feel for yourself to understand. Pure shots are like butter. As you have read I generally shoot in the 80's so I don't hit every shot in the center of the club face. That is where the cavity back on these clubs comes into play and allows forgivenesss. With these clubs you can get away with the occasional off center hit and not be penalized that much and still really enjoy it when you hit it pure. Gives you the best of a game improvement club and the best of a forged iron combined together.
Cobra didn't leave any stone unturned with these clubs. They have great feel, Dynamic Gold shafts and quallity grips. I'm really happy with these and I'm sure they will be in my bag for years to come.
I would suggest anyone who is considering upgrading to forged clubs to seriously consider hitting these irons before buying anything else. They are great looking clubs that have the feel of a forged iron but the forgiveness of a game improvement club. What more could a golfer ask for?

I just startet playing golf last fall, and I was handicap 23,6 when I started my first round with my new Cobra Forged CB's yesterday. Played a great round with them, and I'm now handicap 22,0 after my first round with these irons. I'm not gonna say, that it's because of the irons alone, because I'm definately still improving as a golfer, because I'm very new at it, but it goes to show, that if you have a decent swing, you CAN play these irons at higher handicap than the stated 0-10 on the website, without paying in bad scores because of the lost forgiveness compared to oversize irons!

By the way, I shot a 94 with them, which is my personal best to date, so the irons can't be all bad when doing that on my first round with them ;-)

tried these at at demoday and they just felt right from the first ball! I can´t say enough good things about these irons, great feel,yet there´s still some forgivness. Really well balanced. I like irons with thin toplines and less offset, these irons offer both. mid ballflight and good length,about 1/2 club longer than my other set (Nike pro combo) Cobra isn´t really well known for their small and forged clubheads on the irons,but these are really high quality clubs. Great looks and feel,price maybe a little bit too high in the stores, but i found a used set in almost new condition on ebay. I have tried almost every iron out there, and these are without a doubt one of the best (at least for me) If it wasn´t for the price they would get a full 5 points,but if you can get your hands on a set for good money-buy!
