Once a week player...have owned these for 10+ yrs and have finally decided to update my bag and giving these to my son. It's a game improvement iron, but not as bulky as the super game improvement irons you see today. High ball flight with the stock shaft. These are the type clubs you can play after a few months off and not feel like you're starting the game all over. Perfect for the higher handicap player. |

I have been playing these since I bought them new in 2000. I bought them on sale at edwin watts for $299.99!! I had a few years layoff and started playing them again. These are great irons for the better to average player or the beginner who is looking for a club to give them feedback while still being forgiving. Let me explain. These Irons are ancient by golf standards. However, these are the only thing in my bag I hope to never have to replace. They are easy to hit, even in the long irons, I effectively play my 4-pw. I love the trajectory and even though they are offset, you can work em' a bit. Good hits are rewarded, bad ones will let you know without being painful. I've had numerous people at the range want to try them and the feedback I get is easy-to-hit and nice feel. These irons have aged nicely and still offer good performance. My golf buddies have all upgraded to newer Nike and Titleist offerings. I outperform them with my 13 year old sticks. The only thing I have found that offer similar ball flight and distance are the Titleist Ap1 but they had a dampened feel. |

Sometimes newer IS NOT better. I've used R steel shafted CXIs for the last six years, and have always been pleased with them. Brought my handicap down from +22 to +14 with these, and had a +11 round last year.

I purchased my CXI's proably 10 years ago. I immediately picked up 5 strokes. I have played with them every since. I love them. Have been debating on getting a new set of irons over the last year, but I just don't know. I love my clubs, they still have the original shafts and grips(even after hundreds of rounds). I just can't make up my mind. I think though, I may just save my money for a few lessons and more rounds of golf and fix me, rather than try to get new clubs to fix what is flawed. |

I got these clubs froman old course that i worked at. they were a demo set and i asked the pro if i could buy them from the course cause i really like the way they felt in my hands and at contact with the ball. He said there were pieces of crap and that i could have them. They are the best clubs iv played and i got them for free. Double bonus |

Great clubs. Took out a few sets to try (Cleveland Hibore, TM 360's, Ping G2) and the Cobra's were by far the easiest to hit. Even the 3 and 4 iron were going straight and true, first hit. Was looking at the Cleveland or the TM's but I think I'll be getting the Cobra's even though the brand image is not as high. Similar Products Used: Used PGF, Wilson, Nike irons in past |
