Really great set of irons, been looking for "the" set, and have to admit I really like trying tons of different stuff...

This set has a great mix of the game improvement and players tech, IMO... very little offset, which I really like, a good amount of forgiveness and most importantly, not too light!

Heads create some nice POP, but a muted feel, probably due to the insert... trajectory is mid, vs the monster super-high ball flight of most game improvement stuff... clubs are plenty long, but not the #8 on a #6 iron, like the newer juiced stuff...

This set did not get much big kudos in the press, and it was hard to find a good set even on Ebay ($125 in great shape, a steal)... I think they are similar to the Ping I5's, which are nice but way too light for my preference... Hope I can find a GW for the set... the 115 gram steel in S flex is just fine...

If you are looking for a step in between the GI and players, this is a very good set.

These are amazing irons. I have used them for 2 years starting when i was about a 20 handicap. Right now i am a 8 handicap and still falling. These irons are great off the tee with a great feel on center hits and not much punishment of off hits. They are great out of the rough because of the big and heavy head design. The only bad thing about these irons is its hard to shape shots. Im changing to Cleveland Ta3's because of the more player like feel.

I have played these irons for 2 months now and really like them, workable yet very forgiving on mis-hits. Have enough feel to let me know when I've made a bad swing, but enough forgiveness to leave me with a chance to save par. I would recommend these irons to anyone who hits the ball within a quarter sized spot in the center of the face. The lofts are strong, so you may want a gap wedge. I use a 54 & 58 titleist vokey with them. A steal on ebay for $180 - $250

Bought clubs from ebay (great price!!). I'm a beginner to golf (one year) and was palying with the plasticy dunlops, then some adams idea which were great, but the distance was not impressive. I bought a cobra 400sz offset driver ans was set. these irons are incredible. I recommend the regular flex for a stiff driver hitter. I use stiff shafts in my woods and the stiff shafts in these are a tad heavy, but good for building a better (more controlled) swing tempo. If you swing off you can feel it and see the ball slice bad. Yet my friend uses slingshot oss 7Iron and hits about 145 and he was impressed that I hit the same target with my PW!!! Great clubs for the price, just get ready for sore hands for the first practices. My philosophy is get good clubs that will help u learn the game, not clubs that play for you.

I piucked these up at Edwin Watts for $300 and ended up picking up the Gap, Sand, Lob and 2 Iron off of their wesite for $45 a piece. So ended up getting them all for about $500 plus tax which is a huge bargain. I LOVE these clubs. I have not played much at all since the late 80's when I played a blade style iron with a small cavity back(Pinnacle Tungstens). The Cobra's are a dream to hit. Everything comes off the clubface square. If you hit it off the toe the ball still goes straight and almost as long as a sweet shot. Even the club does not turn in your hand but you still get good feedback. I used to hit the ball extremely high and these have clamed down my height a bit and I am about a club length longer than I was before. I have found that I don't have to swing as hard to get the same length which is allowing me to be more accurate. The clubs are also very workable. I have been able to throw some draw on a shot when needed or keep the ball down when in trouble. I also am getting more action on the ball on the green, if the ball doesn't stop dead it backs up a bit which is great.

These clubs are really making golf enjoyable.

Model Reviewed: Cobra 2300 I/M irons

This is an oustanding club for the knowledgeable and discriminating golfer. It is a player's game improvement club. These are hard to find, low offset for workability with a cavity for forgiveness. Mine were custom ordered for lie, length, grip size and shaft DGS300), D-2 swingweight. The somewhat higher overall weight slows down my naturally quick tempo. All the clubs provide reliable distances and a mid trajectory, very forgiving on off center hits. The long irons are easy to hit, if you have the swing speed, and provide versatility for low shots out of trouble, a feature that doesn't come with large offset models. The wedges are also versatile, although the strong lofts require choking for distance control (a player's shot) and the 50 is very playable from the sand for long bunker shots. Knock down shots are a breeze. These clubs will be in my bag until I lose my swing speed. There is a drawback, if you can call it that, the wedges are long enough that there is a gap on the wedges from the Gap50 to the SW, if you like a lob wedge. My solution may not be for everyone but I use a Ping58 which complements the versatile Gap50 very, very well. With the dampening system, the feel is excellent, much like a forged blade. The value is tremendous. Even with the custom order the price was under $600, much better than the so called pro models which run up to $400 higher for the same features and custom orders. These are great clubs for someone looking to move from a 2 digit handicap to a single digit handicap and also for players who can no longer use blades becaues of age or lack of practice. These are not for everyone but they are definitely for players who are looking for distance, workability and forgiveness. What else is there?

Customer Service

Very good. My custom order was delivered within 10 days.

I spent about a month testing various irons before I chose the Cobra 2300 I/M irons. I played with the irons for about six weeks (17, 18 hole rounds) and found the seven iron seemed to carry only as far as the eight iron. I had several other good golfers hit the club as well as my eight and six iron for comparison. Everyone agreed, the seven iron has some sort of defect. I took the club back to the pro shot where I bought the irons. It was sent back to Cobra and I have now waited six weeks without a seven iron. Basically the irons are excellent. I hit them about ten yards further than my old clubs and have better control.
My problem is with Cobra customer service not correcting my problem in a timely manner.

Customer Service

Still have an unresloved problem after six weeks.

All i have to say about these clubs is wow! The first time the irons got into my hand I almost made my first hole in one only 3 inches from the hole. I shot a much better game with these irons and could hit a lot further and straiter. These irons are awesome and i think that anyone that has a handicap of 16 or lower should definately get these clubs.

cobra 2300 IM - I HAVE BEEN THROUGH FIVE SETS OF IRONS IN THE PAST THREE YEARS. I HAVE BEEN LOOING FOR EASIER, STRAIGHTER AND AFFORDABLE; COBRA SS, TITELIST 704 CB, CLEVLAND TAS', PING G2'S, CALLAWAY x18 AND I HAVE NOT BEEN HAPPY SINCE THE COBRA SS'S. AFTER READING INTERNET REVIEWS AND HITTING THE 3100 VERSION OF THE COBRAS I DECICED TO GIVE THE 2300'S A TRY. PICKED THEM UP ON EBAY FOR 325.00 IN LIKE NEW CONDITION.
PLAYED MY FIRST ROUND TODAY - SHOT AN 81. THAT IS NOT REAL IMPRESSIVE UNTIL YOU CONSIDER I DID IT HITTING NOTHING BUT IRONS. NO DRIVER, 3 WOOD OR HYBRIDS, JUST COBRA 2300 3 - PW, (2) CLEVLAND CG10 WEDGES AND A TWO BALL PUTTER. BLUE TEES AT BEAR CREEK IN DFW AIRPOT - 6800 YARDS. I AM SUPER IMPRESSED WITH THE FEEL AND WORKABILITY. MIS-HITS GIVE FEEDBACK, CLAN HITS GO LONG AND STRAIT. HIGHLY RECOMEND TO 0 - 15 HANDICAP GOLFERS.

I am a low handicapper and have been to proud to play a cavity back for sometime now, i was switching between mizuno blades and was recently having a terrible time with my irons. While on R&R from iraq i decided to gice these irons a whirl. just to see the difference that they would make in my performance. After only 12 or 13 rounds with them my iron game has become much more consistent. I hadnt played a cavity back since making the varsity team in my freshman year of highschool. What a mistake i had been making all these years. These clubs are very workable in both directions while also being forgiving on off-center hits. I am able to keep a low controlable trajectory, while still producing enough spin with the higher irons to hold greens with proficiency. I would reccomend these clubs to anyone.
