Tried everything else before this purchase. The TA7's are the most consistent irons out there. I bought them over a year ago and a few months back got this crazy idea that I needed more of a "players" club. Sold 'em and bought Titleist 762's. After 5 rounds of higher scores........I begged a friend for my TA7's back. He agreed and I dumped the Titleists like a bad habit. I absolutely LOVE my TA7's. Customer Service Never had a problem Similar Products Used: Callaway X-14, 2002 Berthas, Titleist 762's and a host of other pretenders. |

There has got to be a reason that David Toms and Joe Durant play these clubs. May'be some of the following play into their reasoning for putting these clubs in their bags. Bottom line... These clubs have a huge sweet spot, the sensicore shafts reduce 70% of schock and vibration from impact which is great for hard core types such as myself who play 36-45 holes a day, 4 days a week. They look great, feel great, the sweet spot sings like a Metropolitan Opera star. I swear I'd sleep with them if my wife would let me. That said, these clubs allow you to shape your shots on shot maker courses and it's hard to miss that huge sweet spot. These clubs are much lighter than X-14's. Bottom line, I would not trade these clubs for any other on the market. Remember, it's not always the priciest clubs that are the rightest ones for you. Customer Service Excellent! TA7's
I'm surprised at all the Callaway X12 and X14 converts that have bought the TA7's and I just became another.?xD;?xA;?xD;?xA;Due to our typically cold winters I the Toronto area, I've been spending a lot of time in simulators and golf domes comparing my X12's with comparable Titleist, Taylor Made, Mizuno and other name brands getting ready for the upcoming golf season. In general, the TA7's are as good as promised and the best irons I have ever hit. ?xD;?xA;?xD;?xA;They appear like blades which really appealed to me compared to the clunky X12's, yet they're cavity backs which offer very good forgiveness and playability. The progressive offset of the TA7's is much less distracting than Callaways and doesn't give them the "game improvement" look or feel apparent with the X12's. ?xD;?xA;?xD;?xA;Overall, great job Cleveland! |

Took my Talor 320's and wilson deep reds to Pro Golf to hit in the simulator and compare my clubs to all the latest and greatest clubs. We honestly hit every iron in they're inventory-5 irons. We were consistantly hitting my 320's and deep reds an average of 195 carry and 215-220 with rol distance. I fully expected to leave the store with a new set of TAYLOR MADE RAC irons I've read so much about-but after hitting them-seems like a club for the higher handicapper-so I'm convinced I have the best set that Taylor Made has in the 320's. Then we hit the TA7's.WOW!! We were hitting the demo 6 iron further than any other 5 iron in the store. Nice ball flight and slight draw on every shot.I was sold on the spot.Came back home and went to our local golf shop and bought the last set he had.Don' get me wrong-nobody needs 3 sets of clubs like I have: I payed deep reds for 2 years and they are great clubs-but was looking for a club that can be worked a little better-and I DID try them all.I bought the 320's and was very happy with them also, they are a great set of clubs. But when I hit the Cleveland's I think I am content. Of course hitting in a simulator is alot different than playing-but living in PA,we've had 6 inches of snow for 2 months-but we are going to myrtle in a few weeks and I hope I get the same results.I am in the golf business an have had access to hit just about every club there is and I would never knock anyones clubs.Everyone is different and has they're own swings. What might work for me may not be for everyone. So I'll go on the record and say that Wilson Deep red's and the Taylor 320's are terrific cubs-excellant but different.Deep reds hit loooong and straight--taylor 320's hit almost as far and a little more workable-the clevelandTA7's is the best of both worlds.Anyone buying clubs must hit and compare all the clubs and different flexes. What is a stiff shaft from one company-is a regular shaft from another. If you don't compare before you buy-you will never be satisfied. It will always be in your mind there is a better club than the one you have.It took me 2 years and alot of money-because when you buy new,end up not liking them-trade in for another new set,on and on-you lose some serious $$-I did.Finally-my search is over-These are a teffific set of clubs. Customer Service No need for them yet. Cleveland TA7 Irons
I changed from the Callaway X12 irons with a 6.0 rifle shaft to the Cleveland TA7 irons. I took a set of demo TA7's and hit them; and played with them for three days. I really liked the feel, look, swing weight and set-up of the clubs. The Cleveland Fitting Van was coming to Golf Etc. in Tampa and I made an appointment to be custom fitted for irons; best thing I ever did. I was not planning to buy a set of irons but just wanted to see what they recommended for my swing. They spent 45 min. fitting me for clubs. They answered all my questions about shafts, lies, technology, loft and all of my other concerns. We talked about competitive clubs that I was considering and how they might fit my swing. After my fitting, I was sold and I immediately bought the TA7's (2-gap wedge). They are a half inch longer, 3* upright, regular sensicore shafts with standard Cleveland velvet grips. The fitting adjusted my swing so that I now hit the ball in the center of the club as opposed to just off center towards the toe. The hitting board that they used really showed the flaws in my current equipment. What a feeling to know your average swing will be a center hit. The technician said that I should never buy standard irons off the shelf. These adjustments made all the difference in the world. I hit the ball much better with my fitted clubs than the demo set I was hitting. I now hit the ball straighter (actually with a slight draw) and longer (because the shaft loads and I hit it in the center of the club face). These are very forgiving clubs that look great when you set-up and feel great when you strike the ball. They are lighter than the X12's and you can really feel the club head during the swing. The technology built into this club is not visible at address. The club looks like a blade with a slightly wider top edge. I also like the white score line at the bottom of the club face. It helps me align the club. The off-set is not as obvious as on my X12's and when the club is aligned properly the off-set places my hands in the perfect position. Believe it or not, the club heads on the TA7's are about the same size as my X12's; just not as bulky looking. To get all this quality and technology and not pay $900 is fantastic. I think the TA7's are one of the best sets of irons in the market place. I would recommend these irons to anyone. Everyone in my foursome has hit my clubs and are thinking seriously about buying a set. They will be chasing the Cleveland Fitting Van. Great set of irons. Just a note --- All ten individuals who fitted for clubs, the day I bought mine, bought a new set of TA7's. These clubs may not be for you but if you shoot in the 80's or 90's don't buy a set of irons without first hitting the Cleveland TA7's. Customer Service The three techs in the Cleveland Fitting Van (they have five that tour the country) were very knowlegable and very helpful. They even bent my three Cleveland Wedges, for no additional charge, to match my new irons. It took them about one hour to assemble my new clubs. I have not used customer service. Looking at the quality of these clubs I don't think Customer Service and I will be talking much in the future. I was looking to purchase a new set of irons.I really thought callaways 2002 BBs were gonna be for me after reading all the reviews.I went to the local range and hit all of the callaways. To my surprise they were all harsh and rattled my hand even on the best shots.I tried out the new cleveland TA7s and WOW,smooth as butter. All shots were smooth and straight.I just purchased a new set of TA7s and cant wait to try them on the course. I ve been playing blades for 15 years, and I was finally willing to switch to some easier irons to improve my game. Tested a lot of easier clubs (Ping I3 blades, Titleist 762 and 822 OS, TM, Callaway) till I saw the Shining and sparkeling Cleveland TA7 clubs on a display. They really looked amazing compared to all other clubs mentioned. Once I started to hit them I was sure, I wanted to have these. Ordered them at my local Pro and had them custom build, took four weeks to get them what is reasonably fast for European standards. My first round I was playing was in the middle of a storm that was hard to handle with my TA7 clubs which have offset which I never experienced before. After several rounds I am getting the hang for the offset and I really start hitting the clubs well. The big diffenrece comparing to my previous blades (Maruman) is accuracy and distance. Every shot with my TA7 goes more or les straight and always draws, where as with my blades they could have gone any directions. When hitting a TA7 the distance is always the same with a diffence of -5% to +5% with the blades the distance could vary up to 40%.( solid hit shots with my blades do go longer than the TA7, but as loong I am not able to practive everyday what is the use of sometimes hitting a ball 50 yards longer and overshooting a green. In summary: when you current play blades but want to improve your game but wouldn't like to look silly playing forgiving clubs go with the TA7, you'll get great compliments on the looks and play even better. Customer Service Do not know, my club pro handled everything. Similar Products Used: Ping I3 blades, Titleist 762, Titleist 822, Wilson Fatshafts, Callaway X14. |

I hit the Cleveland TA 7 graphite shafted irons at a demo day 4 months ago. I really liked them then but wasn't willing to pay $700 for them. I just found a steal on Ebay for a used set for $350. What a deal. These are the best irons I have ever hit. I played the Wilson Fat Shafts for close to 5 years and didn't feel I would ever change. Yet, the TA 7s are so easy to swing and have a large sweet spot. It is almost feels like a forged club, the feel is that good. Distance wise I am comparable to 5 yards longer than the fat shafts. Control wise I am still getting used to them but I shot a 2 over par today. I have a feeling I will play these clubs for a long time. Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: Wilson Fat Shaft for close to 5 years. I hit every club available at a local demo day this summer and none compared to the Cleveland TA 7s |

Great Irons and after using it, my score went down by 10. Great feeling from the swing & most of my friend tried it and found that they can hit further and more accurate than their own callaway X-14. Similar Products Used: Dunlop Tour special. |
