I had been playing some TA-5 irons with Senior flex graphite shafts for over a year and liked them very much. But I had noticed that sometimes when I really whalloped the ball, they tended to fly right..I am left handed. I talked with a PGA pro friend of mine and he said I was using too soft of a shaft flex. So I traded them in on a new set of TA-6 steel shafted, REGULAR flex irons. The head is slightly larger and there is a more pronounced cavity back. Well, after playing them, I can say it was a good move up. The stiffer flex has cured the fly-a-way problems and they are as soft feeling as my old set of Wilson Staff FG-17 FORGED blades. They have the same sweet feel as the Wilsons do when hit properly on the sweet spot, but of course, they have a much larger sweet spot. It makes me question all the hype about forged clubs having a softer feel. I have hit the TA-6s side by side with my Wilson Staff forged, and there is not 2 cents worth of difference on properly hit balls. The TA-6s are just much easier to hit and to fly straight where you want them to go. I am very pleased with the TA-6s and would recommend anyone wanting a good, easy to hit club, with a superbly soft feel to give the TA-6s a try. Don't believe all the hype about more expensive forged clubs having a "better" feel. I tried them side by side and the Clevelands, which are cast stainless steel, feel just as good. They are simply beautiful, superbly designed clubs. Check out the Cleveland Classic puttters, too. They feel as good as the Scotty Camerons and only cost a fraction of the price of the Camerons. I think there is a lot of hype in golf equipment and you have to check things out for yourself. I have, and it has been a real eye-opener. Customer Service None ever needed. I was at a range just palying one afternoon trying various brand irons, I have played Callaway S2H2 for years now and never found any I liked better. That was until I tried the TA6. The ball carried long and straight, great feel, easy to look at even though the top line is just a touch heavy for me. I have played 5 rounds with and awm extremely satisfied with the, I even purchased the reg flex shaft. Customer Service Talked to them once and they were great to deal with. I haven't bought them yet, but my pocket book is tingling. I tried them out a few days ago on the simulator at Golftown. Tried them against the Nike Slingshots...big difference. Feel was much more solid, and definitely a better looking club. The only set I want to try beside them is the 822. After that, just have to wait for the snow to go away. Customer Service Have had Cleveland wedges now for 3 years, and have not had to contact about anything...if the service is half as good as the equipment there should be no problems. |

My Wilson Fat Shafts were extremely straight but with very little playability or feel - and I just visually hated looking at them. Tried the Nike Slingshots (very long and straight), all the Callaways but none gave me feel and the look at address that I felt comfortable with. After about 25 rounds, I find them extremely easy to hit, especially off the fairways. For a large cavity back, they definitely allow you to put some spin on the ball - something that I was never able to do. I find myself drawing the ball on the green just because I can! However, the adjustment that I need to make is more pronounced than with other more playable irons - which is just fine for those mis-hits when you didnt want any curving. My friends that try them out cant believe how soft they feel - great feel. They put some of their famous wedge technology here for sure. Everything is fairly solid. Lost a little distance on short irons. Offset is annoying to an extent, I had been playing blades for about six months. Not sure I will keep these, just can't get used to offset. They're ok, not a five but a solid four. |

I wanted a slightly higher ball flight, and could buy these for just a little more than it would have cost to reshaft my Ping I3's Wow, what a deal. They have a higher flight, but don't balloon, they look great at setup, and are way more forgiving than the I3's. The long irons are terriffic, and the short irons are on target. They hit the ball straight, but could be worked slightly. They just want to ge straight. I could not be happier with my purchase. I dropped 3 strokes off my game the first round, and putted terrible. The second time out put me back in the 70's for the first time in 2 years. Customer Service I had these fitted (Left Handed as you may have guessed, + 1/2" 3 degrees upright) Got them in a week and a half on the east coast. I recently purchased a set a TA-6's and sold off my Ping Zing's. I have now found out just how much a forgiving club (like Ping's) will help you when you are improving, but conversly how much they hold you back when your game is above your clubs. These TA-6's are absolutly amazing! These clubs exude confidence and I find myself looking forward to any iron shots. I used to shoot in the 90's, but since starting to play these I'm easily knocking on the Mid 80's door. The only thing that has held be back since I've gotten these is a sore back and some questionable putting. Without a question the nicest, sweetest feeling clubs I've tried or played. I used to shoot from 78 to 86. For the past few years I've not gotten close to 90. My clubs were worn so I bought TA6s on the advice of the salesman. I played the following day shooting 89. Yes, I was happy. The clubs did create a big hole in my game however, the PW is good for 125 to 130 yards and my lob wedge couldn't fill the gap. I bought 52 and 54 degree wedges and shot 84 the next time around. Recently I've been hitting the green consitantly from 170 to 190 and haven't used the wedges at all. Yes I am happy. Customer Service The 2 iron (I retired all my fairway woods) took 2 weeks to deliver. Slow but, I don't care Similar Products Used: None. My old club's grooves were just about gone so I bought what the salesman suggested. What luck. |

i Just got these a week ago and i am hitting my irons straighter, higher, and longer. i was debating on whether to get the TA7 tour irons or the TA6 and I'm glad i got the TA6. These are the best irons I've ever hit at an awesome price. The only problem is they're not as workable as some irons. Similar Products Used: none |

I am a golf club junkie. Owned nearly every set of popular irons with different shaft cominations for the past 5 years.(Reshaft my own clubs) Got fitted for a set of Ping G2's and hated them immediately. Traded them in to Golfsmith on the TA6. Tried with original DG300 S, they were good. Tried Rifle Flighted, a little better still. Then popped in a set of Grafaloy ProLogic shafts and... Oh My ! Easy to swing, can work the ball both ways, high or low and these babies are very forging! These may have been built for the Hack's but you'll have to pry 'em from my cold dead hands... Loved my RAC LT's but these suit me better. Golf is fun again. No more worrying about the irons. Time to go Flag Hunting.
