Having played a number of quality blades including 1967 VIPs,Wilson Forging 17,Mizuno TP2000,Hogan Personal Model Ltd Edition, 1999 Apex, and currently Nike VR2 pro blades these Cleveland TA1s are in my opinion one of the best blades ever had they still been in production I would never have changed absolute perfection, thank you Cleveland, these are a 62 round Carnoustie in a hoolie or a 40 year old Sophia Loren,

I judge a set of irons by the long irons and this is the best all around set of irons I've ever owned. When switching from my old Mizunos I wondered if no 2-iron would be a problem. The TA1s long irons are 1/2 a club longer, so no problem. The short irons are also spaced out a bit wider so there's no need to carry a gap wedge. The smallish head and slight camber was exactly what I needed. My ballstriking has never been better. Used to rotate sets every couple weeks (just rotate - no flipping)and thes irons have put a stop to that. Every time I reach for the Titleist or the Hogans, I change my mind.

My only negative comment is semantics. These aren't really truly forged. They don't feel forged (they're not rock hard like the Titleists, but they're not as soft as my Mizunos or Tommy Armours).

Based on my improved distance control alone, I would recommend these to any single digit capper in a heartbeat.

only had 2 rounds with them but very impressed so far i was playing ping i3 oversize before but my ball flight was way to high as i have a fast swing and strike the ball well i wanted to get some blades come across these on ebay got them for £76 what a bargain they are a little longer in distance than the i3s with a nice low flight and plenty of spin and easy to work the ball both ways if you are considering some mizuno blades these are as good as the mp33s if not better

I like these blades a lot. very workable, i can fade a shot into the green, draw down the fairway, shoot high, low pretty much anything i want to do. only drawback is, NO FORGIVNESS!!! if you mis hit these irons, you will pay for it. but a good thing about that is that you get excellent feedback because you know exactly what you did wrong. great feel to these irons though. i love em. any other irons can suck it!!!

These are very good clubs. However, I wouldn't recommend them unless you are athletic enough to put a good swing on the ball. If you don't have your mechanics worked out these are not the clubs for you. That said, these irons are perfect for a younger player that wants clubs that will help him improve his game and not break the bank in the process.

Having struggled with my iron shots for quite some time, i decided it was time to make a change. it seemed as though i was constantly fighting a draw/hook, overshooting my approaches and had trouble holding greens. i had the chance to try a set of mizuno blades and i really liked the set up. i felt like the club sat more open at address and i could hit the ball cleaner.
at a recent club demo, i was able to try various clubs back to back. the taylormade tp combo's, the mizuno, and the clevelands. my first instict was to try the cleveland cg2's, which have very little offset, are a cavity forging and have a nice look at address, however, i felt like they didn't have much feedback. both the cg1's and the ta1's felt great!
i don't consider myself an excellent golfer. i don't think of myself as the guy that plays blades, but, i was amazed. the ta1's have a great ball flight, consistent distance, are workable without being work, and mis-hits aren't penalized that much.
i have now had a couple of days at the range and one round with them and have been thrilled with this new set of clubs.

i have owned the ping eye 2's and the taylormade rac lt's. in demo, i tried the tm rac tour combo, mizuno mp 32, cleveland cg2, callaway x18 tour, cleveland cg1, and titlest 705 (not sure about model number, forged cavity back).
