I bought these irons brand new and learned how to play golf on them. I played over 50 rounds of golf on these irons and love them. I was able to get the ball in the air easily which was great for a beginner and I think this allowed me to start playing courses sooner than my friends who started playing golf at the same time I did using other higher name brands. I had the shaft replaced on the wedge after a year to the Dynamic Golf D300 true temper shaft and it made the wedge absolutely deadly! It became my favorite club in the bag. I was able to really dial in the shots after that.

I would absolutely recommend these clubs to any beginner who wants to speed up the learning process at the range and start playing courses. I have since switched to Cleveland TA6 irons after I demoed a friends set,(He switched to Berthas as he was unable to hit with the TA6's) and the only reason I did this is because I needed a mid handicapper set of clubs. I also highly recommend the TA6's which provide better distance but are nowhere near as forgiving as the Launcher LP's.

Customer Service

Never had any problems. Awesome clubs out of the box. I would highly recommend replacing shafts as well.

Picked up a Cleveland Launcher D wedge to replace a lost gap wedge for my set of Cleveland CG TA6 irons. The Launcher D wedge is too heavy and too big(face) to give you any control. It controls you. If you don't hit clean shots or can't loft the ball, I suppose it is OK. For me it is real dissapointment. The clubs has a very high MOI, and once you start the down swing, it pretty much takes over. I hit about twenty balls before I could find a way to keep it low enough to cover 100-110 yards (had to deloft and move address far to back in my stance to feel comfortable. The sole is so big, acts more like a sand wedge. I suppose you can get used to it, but for me, it's way to bulky.

I play with Cleveland GC TA6 (R graphite in winter months)and Taylormade Rac OS2 irons (R steel summer months). I average a 9.5 handicap. I needed a Gap wedge for my Cleveland CG set. Came across a D wedge, 50 Degree R flex graphite Launcher. Thought it would fit in. The club is heavy, too heavy to do aything but blast away, the high MOI makes it almost impoosible to shape a shot, and I have to work very hard to keep the altitude down to cover anything over 100yards. I loose at least 10 yards from my RAC OS2 gap wedge. In short if you hit clean shots, this club adds nothing to your game... very dissapointed in the high weight, and loss of swing control (it controls you).

These are the best irons I have ever played with. My first round with these irons was a 2 under 34 on my local 9 hole course. I have read alot of reviews about these being a beginner club, NOT true. I spent 3 hours and hit about every set of irons they had in edwin watts golf store. The launchers were by far the most consistant club i hit.

These set of irons are designed for people that need forgiveness and are not afraid to admit it. My former iron set was a Adams Idea A1, a good set but I wanted to lower my score and finally decided to test some new irons. I came to a few set that were really forgiving and similar in setup; the Callaway Big Bertha, the Taylormade Rac HT and the Cleveland Launcher (NOT LP). I choose the Cleveland because of feel and of the three mentiones above was the better one on workability and of course price. The distance is very impresive for a ultra forgiving club, from day one I start using my 4, 5 and 6 irons without any problem plus are almost imposible to fat a shot because its wide sole. Need forgiveness not beg for it go and buy it.

Customer Service

Never need it.

Got the Launchers (not the Launcher LP) and must say they were a great buy. Very forgiving, launch the ball without ballooning. The 4 - DW make the perfect set up since I use a 3 hybrid. Got A flex shafts, perfect for my 80 mph swing speed but also hold up well with higher ss when you have to try to "get on one" to get a little extra out of it. Rate these a 5 all around since they were on sale for $299 - about $400 off MSRP when they came out in 2004. These have bumped my A2 OS irons out of the bag - 8-DW much easier to chip with. Good looking (but amaybe a tad bulky) at set up. Easy alignment, Definitely keepers. A good club length longer than my old 2002 BB irons as well as the short irons in

I love these clubs, I just bought a set brand new for $190 with shipping and have gone to the range about 12 times, havent had a chance to play a round with them yet but they are so much better than my last set of older cobras. if you are a golfer that needs to improve his game get these clubs before they are gone! (they are being discontinued)

I wrote a review saying that the Cleveland Launcher irons were terrible. Actually, the problem was that I was not used to them. After about 5 rounds with them, they really improved my game. I recommend them to every begginer. It is actually hard to miss hit with them. They do correct off-center shots as Cleveland says. Very forgiving, I could shoot 150 yds with the 9-iron for the first time. Just great!
