As a decent golfer I would say the they are great clubs for all kinds of golfer. They have a great sweat spot and are very forgiving. The only negative is that they are not the best clubs for distance but as we all know accuracy is more important than distance. They are real confidence slubs :)

They are fantastic with a perfect sweet spot. I hardly ever miss hit the ball. A must for all golfers.

I have not played with these on the clubs on the course but I hit them at a PGA Superstore in Phoenix along with every other iron on the market. To be honest these clubs actually felt the best of any cavity back I tried. They had a trampoline like feel, the ball shot off the club face. Very Long(Taylor Made Burners are the longest) Fairly accurate too and very forgiving. (The most accurate I tried were the Ping S57's). The zip grooves on these clubs will wear off, but they do look very cool in black. In my opinion Taylormade Irons all felt very dead, and way oversized. Titileist Ap2 felt soft. I like to feel what the ball is doing on the clubface. So if you want to try out a good all around cavity back try out the CG7 Black Pearl Tour.

I recently went to a demo night at my local Golf Galaxy and was looking to get a new set of Irons and was inundated with options. At first I looked at the TM R9 irons but after hitting a few the Irons felt relatively dead so I went over to the I15 irons. The I15 felt decent but they looked like shovels so I ditched them.

I then turned to the CG7 BPs and was instantly hooked. The ball flies off the face and combined with the zip grooves gives the player added control.

I combined the clubs with KBS-S shafts and I have seen a steady rise in my game. The clubs are not the most forgiving but if you want to get better these clubs will grow with your game.

However, these clubs are not for your average golfer, if you're a 12 or 13 whose is not serious about getting better you should look elsewhere.

That being said, these are great clubs and would recommend them to any player who is serious about improving their game.

After hitting forged irons for many years, I thought it was time to try game improvement clubs. Based on Golf Digest's Hot List, I tested out several sets on the golf course. However, once I tested out the CG 7 Black Pearls - I knew I found the set that I had been looking for.
I have owned the clubs for 6 weeks and 12 rounds of golf - and just cannot say enough good things about them. Great feel, wonderful accuracy and way more forgiving than any club that looks as good as the Black Pearls.

I don't care what any of the other reviews say. I am a club junkie, and in the last year alone I have hit AP1's, Tour Burners, MacGregorM85, Adams A7, Adams CB2 Blacks, Mizuno MX200, 300, MP52's. These CG7's strike the ball so well, the feel is great, and the distance is better or equal to any others I have listed.

I don't know about you guys, but I am right in the middle of a players club and a game improvement club. The last set I had was the Taylor Made Tour Burners. They had too thick of a sole, making the club heavy, but I guess it helps high handicappers get the ball in the air. A lot of brands are putting out the mid handicapper irons now and I wouldnt say these are the best of the best, but for me they are #1 on my list, BUT very very very closely followed by the Mizuno MX200's, and the Titleist AP1's. So if you're a mid handicapper, who doesnt like the giant shovel irons, give the Cleveland CG7 line, regular yellow or Black Pearl a try, or the Mizuno MX200 or AP1's a try, chances are you'll like one of these 3. I have tried a lot as you can see, and I know I am missing one or two sets in there.

These irons also look so sweet in the bag with the Black finish and Black inserts on the back. I don't care too much if the face eventually wares out of it's black color, cuz the backs will always look black and cool. But regardless of how cool they look, I am striking them great. I play 5 days a week since I work at a course, so I easily can tell when I strike an iron good or not,and I can tell when I am comfortable over an iron. So if you're a 5-18 handicap and don't shoot 100+, and dont like the chunky Callaway look, take a look at the Cleveland CG line as well as the Mizuno MX200's and AP1's...... you'll eventually buy one of these 3 iron sets.

Let me begin by stating the obvious fact that I would school the other two reviewers any day of the week. I'm the best and everyone knows it. I throw darts all day and the women flock to me at night. I'm an adonis. I shot 65 with these pups the other day and returned them because I should have shot 64. Hit darts all day long but didn't always hit the bullseye if you know what I mean ladies. You should strive to be like me but don't think you'll ever succeed. Later Lads, I need to take the Mercedes in for a tune up. I hate having to drive the Range Rover but what the heck. Later.
