Cleveland CG2 Irons

Cleveland CG2 Irons

DESCRIPTION

These new irons were specifically designed for the avid golfer and are ideal for the low to mid-handicapper searching for a club with the forgiveness of a cavity-back and the workability of a blade. These perimeter-weighted irons, made from Carbon Metal Matrix (CMM), have a small cavity-back design which offers increased control along with added forgiveness. The design of the CG2’s combined with revolutionary low-density properties of CMM have helped engineers at Cleveland Golf create irons with both increased MOI for extra stability at impact as well as a lower and deeper CG which helps promote a higher ball flight. The density relieving spheres within CMM also help dramatically damp vibration making the CG2 irons one of the most forgiving and solid feeling irons.

Excellent set of irons. Distance is average but control is outstanding. Super soft feel all the way through the set. The short and mid irons have very good control and the cavity back long irons are more forgiving. Overall they are not that difficult to hit. If you can make a reasonable swing you will be fine. The consequences of a slight mis-hit are minimal but a poor swing will get you an equally poor result. One must bring their own distance with these clubs, as is the case with most all forged players irons. The speed step shaft was surprisingly good although I replaced them with project x shafts because that's what I'm use to. I have been playing golf for a long time and have always been an equipment nut. This has been the best set of irons I've played to date. The only set I didn't sell and the set that I keep going back after trying new clubs.

Love these Irons. Would never think of ever getting newer irons. Forgiving, soft feel and just wonderful to swing. Try to get a set.

I am a 14 year old golfer who decided to buy these irons. I can say this. I had them for 3 years. And I will NOT buy new ones for a LOOONG time. I can hit my 9 irons from 150! With Callaways, I hit my 9 irons 140. Good job Cleveland. Very Nice irons!

I was looking for a set of irons that were a lillte more forgiving than the taylor made combo set I've been playing. After a LOT of research of decided to buy a set of cg2 irons and I could not be happier they hit with a soft but solid feel and are much more forgiving, GREAT JOB CLEVELAND!!
