Bought to replace a set of Taylor Made Rac OS. Priced great @ less then 400.00. Fantastic, ball explodes off the face providing great carry. Not so "game improvement oriented" that you can't work the ball. A more traditional look for a Callaway product with a thinner top line, a very attractive set of irons and well worth the money. |

Callaway X-22 irons
I purchased the X-22 irons over a year ago after comparing with the Ping G15, Mizuno MX-1000 and the Callaway Diablo Edge. I got the regular flex graphite shafts. Unlike others I love the Callaway grips. For me these irons were slightly shorter than the the Mizunos and the Diablo Edge. About the same distance as the Pings. They were the most accurate and had the most back spin. There doesn't seem to be any distance loss if you hit them a little on the heel or the toe. In fact last night I hit a nine iron a little on the toe into a par three and the ball spun back to about 18 inches from the hole. With previous sets of irons I always seemed to have a favorite iron in the set. I like all the irons in this set. Long irons are easy to hit. Customer Service n/a |

Finally decided to upgrade to some real clubs and was lucky enough to try out six sets of quality irons for 9 holes each over a couple of days. The X-22's were my favorite. I was hitting noticeably straighter and farther. I had to drop down a club in nearly every instance. They were a good investment. I tested the Cally x-22 , Cally Diablo Edge forged, Mizuno 52, Mizuno MXP800 at Golf Galaxy last weekend and I wore myself out ... X-22 came out ahead, next best thing was Diablo edge forged... I wish that I play X-22 vs. my 2002 BB and X-16 for a direct comparison... Nevertheless, I am very very impressed with the X-22. If I were on the market for a new set I would buy the x-22 in a heart beat. Customer Service Second to none Similar Products Used: X-16, 2002BB, KingCobra OS , TaylorMade |

I have upgraded from a set of Titleist 695CB's and I got these as I was looking for a more forgiving club. The X 22 is the perfect blend of club. I can hit controled Draws and fades, and slight misses don't leave my arms shaking and the ball short right in the trees. Overall I probably get the same distance out of the clubs(Based around a hitting a 7 145m). I bought mine as shop demos and got a great deal. The only bad thing I can say is they look like shovels, not a nice classic shape, but I'm slowly getting used to that! Customer Service Never Used Similar Products Used: Callaway X14 |

These clubs just weren't for me. They felt too big and too clunky. This is the first Callaway irons I've owned but I've hit others in the past. In the past Callaways seemed to have great feel but lacked alittle in distance to comparitive models however this set had the distance but the feel just wasn't there. I think it has alot to do with that uniflex shaft they keep wanting to use. I have a quick tempo and I'm not convinced that uniflex shaft can handle that. Maybe a smooth tempo even with the same swing speed would work but for me it just isn't close. I traded mine in and got a set of Tour Edge exotics XCG irons with the project x 6.0 shafts and it's like night and day difference. I think if you have a quick tempo you should look for a club that you can get a flexed shaft that suits the quick tempo. Uniflex might work for all swing speeds but I do think it don't work for all tempos. I'm giving them three stars as opposed to a one because I think they are probably good for some but just not right for me. Customer Service never used them but have bought some item from callawaypreowned.com and the prices and quality are great but look for the sales changes usually every tuesday. Similar Products Used: similar to these not much of anything these were the largest headed irons I've ever bought and I never even tried any this size before. |

I just purchased X22 - first serious clubs ever... WOW what a difference! I was out playing with a scratch player and he asked to use one for the next hole. (this is not the PGA) I said go ahead - his shot on a par 4 198 yards with my 6 iron was 3' from the pin. AMAZING - I still need to hit the driving range, but know that I'm playing with the best clubs out there!
