I did not like this club. I purchased based on Callaway reputation and the fact that it had a traditional look. I found the feel to be harsh and I had no feel for the club.

The clubs were nice looking, but very heavy - not good for a "feel" type player.

I sold them after 1 week.

Customer Service

Delivery time was good - less than one week.

I had been playing Mizuno MP 60 irons. Very nice, but I lost distance and consistancy. I have played Callaway irons for years-X-12, 16, 18, Fusions, as well as Pings. So far , the X-20 Tour irons are the best Callaway irons I have played. Good distance, workable. and not bulky looking. I like the Project X shaft. I have the 6.0 flex, which seems less stiff than the S300 in my Mizuno irons. Callaway makes a great product. I should just stick with Callaways in the future.

Customer Service

Always has been great.

I have liked Callaway in the past, but this is the worst set of irons I have bought in a long time. Terrible feel, accuracy, etc.

Customer Service

Great.

STINKY, and that comes from a callaway man. The project x shaft feels like a broom handle. If you are used to ping, s300, or any other shaft, this shaft feels terrible, just terrible. I have read all the hype about p x shafts, more energy, lighter, all bla, bla, bla. I can not believe callaway would think to put this shaft in there as its standard service. The things feel like xxx1000's. They look good thou. Hence, I returned them after going birdie, birdie, eagle, birdie on 7, 8,9,and 10.

Customer Service

always perfect

For those of you who have not considered Callaway because of it's bulky looks,I can tell you that the time has come to look again.

I have been playing Mizunos for the past 7 years most recently MP60s. These are excellent clubs and I still like them a lot, But because of family and work commitments I started looking for something a little more forgiving, so that when I spend a few weeks without playing, I can still come back and shoot a decent score rather than it taking me 3 weeks to get back to playing level. After trying the MX-25, TaylorMade R7 and Callaway X-20 tour, I settled for the Callaway. This are amazing irons.

Here is my impression on the irons:

* Looks - nice thin top line, the look great at address and are easy to align.
* Distance - The same, maybe even a few yards longer than my MP60s.
* Feel - Excellent feel, but still provide some feedback on miss-hits
* Workability - low, high, right, left it does not matter, it is easy to work the ball with these clubs
* Forgiveness - These beat the pack. They are very forgiving. It will be hard for you to hit a fat short with these clubs.

I would strongly recommend these clubs to any mid-low handicapper who does not get to play regularly.

I order my +1/4, 3* Upright. I received them in 5 days. My game is starting to improve again I used to play to an 11 HCP, but because of these stints of no play my hcp went up to 14. I am confident it will be back down to the 11 in not time with these irons.

Customer Service

Have not used for issues. My order was placed and received in 5 days.

This is the first time I've ever written a review on here, but with the situation, I figured I should. I just switched from a forged club for the first time since I started playing golf, and it's a good thing. I ordered a set of Callaway X-20 Tour Irons, 2 degrees flat up to the 6 iron, and 2 degree flat up to the wedge. They are shafted with the upgraded Black Gold shaft, as I'm not a fan of their "Callaway Project X "flighted"" shaft. I had a custom tour shop grind the trailing edge of the long irons, as there was too much bounce, but once that was done...LOOK OUT. These clubs are the easiest to hit "players club" on the market. Sure I wish they felt like a good forged club, but the forgiveness on a swing you fall asleep on is unmatched. I wouldn't consider it a true player's club, more of a player's game improvement club, but I'll still spend the year with them..at the very least. I don't like the "jacked up" lofts, as it'll be tougher to get my distances dialed in, but I'll live with this as easy as they are to hit. Now I can spend less time on the range, and more time on the practice greens!!

Customer Service

Their custom department is quick, and readily available.

Was looking to try rifle shafts with my Taylormade LTs. Had never hit rifle shafts, but had heard a lot of good things. Had previously played X-14s prior to LTs. I really like the LTs for their workability, setup and clean lines, but was felt I had lost some distance compared to the X-14s (T-Step stiff stock shaft). Anyway, on a leap of faith traded the LTs for the X-20 Tour with 5.5 Project X flighted shafts frequency/flex). The Project X 5.5 flex is about half way between the T-Step shafts and the X-14 Uniflex shaft. For me...perfect flex; swing speed 5 iron: 80-85 mph
Conclusion: Have had about a month. Love these irons and shafts. The setup and head shape are not quite the same profile as the TMs with a slightly thicker top line, but still can work ball in either direction due to the minimal offset (same as TMs). The thicker top line and perimeter weighting add to the club's forgivness for off center hits...not necessarily a bad thing for a 10 handicapper. I have read in other reviews these clubs and shafts feel like forged on center hits. I agree...butter! The flighted shafts definitely have a lower trajectory due to higher kick point for the shorter irons...which is what I was after.
Great club/shaft combo combining forgiveness, control, and workability. Highly recommend to anyone not needing larger clubhead/face and offset.

Was looking to upgrade from my G2's and it didnt take long to make up my mind. Tested these with 6.0 project x shafts and everything standard. Ended up .25 short and heavier heads (nice option from Callaway). These things are sick, the set up, feel and overall appearance is as clean as anything out today. The shafts def. affect the ball flight, much more boring trajectory then standard step shafts. (i still cant believe these shafts are stock). If you're looking for a players iron that still offers a bit of forgiveness you have to give these a shot. Dont hit them w/o your credit card or checkbook.

Switched from Fusion Irons with Uniflex Shaft. The X-20 Tour with stock flighted rifle shafts provide a much more penetrating ball flight. Added about half club distance increase. Compared to the Fusion Irons they're a bit heavier and take some getting used to. Solid feedback on all shots. Great feel. Shafts are fantastic.
