Callaway X-16 Set Irons

Callaway X-16 Set Irons

DESCRIPTION

The standard X-16 Irons have a shorter blade length and a higher topline than the X-14 irons, with the benefit of Callaway Golf''s new "Notch" weighting. This moves the weight to the perimeter for strong, confidence-enhancing look behind the ball. Each iron has a low center of gravity for strong trajectory and great forgiveness, a cambered sole for better turf interaction, and a soft satin finish with a contrasting, sandblasted hitting area. The graphite shafts give you the flex options that you want - with the options to benefit varied swing speeds and styles. Also available in proprietary, ultralight, uniflex Constant Weight steel shaft manufactured by True Temper.

Solid set of clubs. Straight and reasonably long. Good loft and distance and I like them as well as any club I have ever hit. I'm a club junkie and I've had most. Would certainly recommend to all handicap levels. I've had all the callaway clubs and these are my favorite

Customer Service

Special order, flat lie and they were sent directly from the factory and they were here in a week. Excellent service.

Finally made the move from the Great Big Bertha Irons I had been playing for 8 yrs. what a difference from those large off set heads to the smaller head on this club. As for distance, lost nothing and perhaps gained on all clubs a few yards. What I really gained was the consistancy of Steel shafts vs graphite. My ball flight with these clubs are very consistent, and the confidence I have to fly the ball at the stick has never been higher. These irons have a nasty habit of backing up a pro v, the old berthas had the ball stopping but the ball never had a reverse gear. The other really nice change was the ability to take an 8 iron and chip with a normal looking head. These clubs are about as forgiving as the GBB irons I traded-in for these X16's. Long Irons are extremely easy to get airborne, control for working the ball better than average. Overall this is a very solid set of irons.

Customer Service

None for this set, but 8 yrs ago when I bought a GBB Driver a girl I knew took one swing and shattered the shaft with the ball, one in a million swing// THE GREAT FOLKS AT CALLAWAY exchanged the driver no questions asked. They stood by their equipment even when it was not a defective product.
