I believe that this is Callaway's best iron design ever, as of today. Annika didn't let hers go...

I was new to golf about 4 years ago and after experimenting with some off-brand irons, I picked up a used set the X-14 Pro Series. After starting with a set of hack clubs, I could definitely see a difference with the Callaways. They feel like butter when you hit the sweet spot and look great at address. After a year or so, I finally started experimenting with working the ball and different shot types and they handled anything I tried. I had the graphite Stiff RCH 75 shafts, and although they felt great, they were a little too light for me once my swing began to evolve. I upgraded to the X-18 Pros with stiff steel shafts. I scored my only hole-in-one with the X-14's, so instead of trading them in, I have retired them as my back-up set.

Great clubs. Got them about 6 months ago and they feel long and consistent. I really feel like I'm going to hit it great each time I take a club out of the bag. I do have my share of mis-hits, but it's me, not the club. Less off-set than the regular x-14 make these great for a mid-handicap golfer like myself who likes to have a more "traditional" look in an Callaway club. got a great deal on my set from Callaway Pre-owned golf. Customer Service Awesome. Since I bought them pre-owned, two of my grips were a little worn. I sent them an email and without even waiting to email me back, they sent me a full set of replacement grips. That's a $45 value in stores. |

I recently got my hands on a used set of these on Ebay for $220 (with shipping). All I can say is that I wish I would have found these years ago! My first round last friday netted my first time shooting in the 70's. I shot a 79. It took about three times out to the range to get used to the size and distance of the clubs. They are about a club to a club and a half longer than my previous Mizuno Pro's. These clubs REALLY want to go straight! The ball flight was high and I could really get a lot of spin on my short irons. I think these are in my bag for a long time coming! Customer Service callawaygolfpreowned.com was great with shipping and handling. Similar Products Used: Top Flite Tour Ti's

I have had these irons for a few years now and can't say enough about them! They are well designed and absolute butter when you hit them! Especially the short irons...I find myself using my 8 and 9 iron clubs quite a bit around the green for bump and run and shots and have holed many a chip with these clubs! When you hit these clubs solidly they soound and feel great! I've had many opportunities to trade these babies in for newer technology but can't because of my attachment to them..I've played many memorable rounds with these and hit some great shots..If I ever do decide I want a change I'm keeping these as my backup..I love the way they look and they have held up very well over the years! Callaway makes a fine product and I have been very satisfied with these clubs! A fine set of irons for the discriminating player looking to improve his game.. These clubs change my game, alot. Used to shoot in the 80's on a regular basis, but after about a month with these im now a solid 7 handicap and i shot my lowest 71 after about a month with these. I am an entire club longer with these compared to the original big bertha irons and i can actually work the ball a little bit if i need to. These things are deadly, highly recommended for the mid to low handicap. Customer Service Heard callaway is the finest! Similar Products Used: Original Big Bertha Irons |

still my favourite sticks. the stock CWR's aren't very good, reshaft and these come alive. I currently have Dynamic Gold SL X100's in them and they are solid. can work it both ways easily with these and distance is excellent as it trajectory. nice boring flight with the X100's and still easy to elevate the long irons. you can pick these up for a song on fleabay now Customer Service no experience Similar Products Used: you name it. lately: srixon i-506, X-tours, X-18 pro series, feel competitor blades, armour 986 blades, honma blades, mp-37's, CG2 |

I finally played with these a couple times and feel I can give an honest assessment. I'm a 15 index and played with MP32's for about a year. I got mine (4-PW w/Precision Royal Rifle 6.0, not CW) from CallawayPreowned, shipped, in GOOD condition for $331. The first thing I noticed when I hit these was that the trajectory was fairly low, even compared to the MP32's. I went to both sites to compare lofts and the X-14's had STRONGER lofts than the MP32's! Thus probably why people are getting more distance with these. The stronger lofts were really apparent on the X-14 6 iron 29 deg. vs 31 deg. (MP32), 7 iron 33 deg. vs 35 deg., 8 iron 37.5 deg. vs 39 deg., respectively. Coupled with the fact that Callaway's bore-thru technology make the tips even stiffer..and it makes for a lower, longer, trajectory. The X-14 Pro Series IS NOT your run of the mill, Fred Flinstone, Callaway set. It is not for the faint of heart and would recommend it for your above average player with swing speeds above 90+ mph. If you want a Callaway "for fun" I'd recommend the other "X" series or the BB series. If you are a decent player and want to improve these are your babies! What also was a "plus" was they are XLNT out of the rough. I loved chipping/punching with these and the distance control was unbelievable. The sole just doesn't caught up in the rough grass. I'm still trying to get used to the yardages but noticed now I have a true gap between the X-14 PW and my Cleveland 56 deg SW. I promised a review after three months two reviews ago. Shaft is standard RCH stiff graphite. These irons have continued to grow on me. GIR's continue to be much better than before. With a relaxed non-forced swing the distance and ball flight are consistent and always 15+ Yards further than my old Ping ISI's. Ball controll is very easy both right and left and I have noticed absolute no lack of control after having switched from steel to graphite shafts. Forgiveness is excellent and I often wonder that the ball went as far as it did on lousy shots. Feedback is great. These irons have definitely improved my game and will be staying in my bag for a long time. There is no reason whatsoever to put out so much money for new clubs, when these are to be had for so much less. I highly recomend these for any level of player, and especially for one who also wants to be able to work the ball a bit. Customer Service Callaway pre-used was the best online service I have ever experienced. Similar Products Used: Ping ISI-S |
