THESE CLUBS ARE THE TICKET. I WAS A PROUD 3 HANDICAPP, THEN I GOT MARRIED. NOW AFTER SOME ON ANF OFF SEASONS I BLEW UP TO ABOUT A 22> I ALWAYS SAID I WOULD NEVER PLAY A CLUB LIKE CALLAWAYS BECAUSE THAT WAS FOR BEGINERS OR PEOPLE WHO COULD NOT PLAY THE GAME. I FINALLY GAVE UP MY FOOLISH PRIDE AND DECIDED TO GET RID OF MY PING ISI AND BUY THE 04 CALLAWAYS. RIGHT AWAY I WAS SURPRISED AT HOW WELL THEY HIT. I DROPPED 8 STROKES OFF MY PREVIUOS ROUND AND HAVE BEEN DROPPING STROKES SINCE JUST YESTERDAY I SHOT A 81. IT FEELS SO GOOD TO STARTING LOOKING FOR BIRDIES INSTEAD OF BEING HAPPY WITH BOGEYS.

Well...I got these irons last year. The only problem I have with these is that I Normally hit a draw and since these are offset, I hit hooks also. They are VERY forgiving, and very easy to hit

One word describes these Irons - Awesome! Added 10 yards to each club without much effort. Adjusting to the 10 iron takes a bit but overall the best clubs I have owned! Period!

I've been dabbling in the low 100s, breaking into the 90s every once in a while, and the culprit has been my irons. Let me be clear - if you have problems with irons then get yourself a set of super game improvement irons, not regular game improvement irons (see Golf Digest Hot List for the difference). I finally gave in and bought these yesterday. I haven't played over the winter, skipped the range and headed straight for the first tee. I was hitting shots I had previously only seen on TV. If you can put together a half way decent swing then these clubs will do the rest. I only ran into trouble when I got cocky and tried to muscle it. I even hit the 4 iron beautifully and I used to not even carry it. It's tough to put into words, but I was laughing on the course out of disbelief. I love Callaways so I bought these (and Callaway is closing them out now so they're on sale like crazy). But do yourself a favor and get a super game improvement set. This is going to make all the difference and I wish I had not waited so long.

i just bought these and wanted to let you know they are great.these clubs produce high straight long shots.they are very easy to hit and the distance is superb.the large soles allow you to sweep the ball off the turf thus nearly eliminating fat shots.the constant weight callawy steel shaft is very much to my liking and the set makeup with the 10 iron and the gap wedge is perfect.if you'll try a set i think you'll be delighted with the performance

First of all, a big thanks to all those who reviewed these clubs first and helped me make a decision to purchase them. I had been playing an old TaylorMade clone set with graphite shafts. I could never keep them constitantly straight, but had the occasional good shot.
I bought the Big Bertha 2004 set online at CallawaygolfPreowned after trying several preowned sets at a shop. I've bought other stuff through Callaway online and the service is first rate.
At first I was disappointed with the clubs. I got them right before I was scheduled to play 36 in Phoenix in July. I took them to the course without any range time and struggled (I thought it was just the heat). As the round went on I figured out the set (4-10, PW)was a full club shorter than the ripoffs I had before. After several rounds with the same experience I was disappointed. I took the 7 iron and my old 7 to the range for a head-to-head to see if it was just me. Turns out it was mostly me. I started swinging more freely and discovered 2 things. 1) The Big Berthas were more accurate by a LOT. I could just pick a flag on the range and be confident the direction would be good. 2) They were not quite as long on full clean shots, but were so much better on mis-hits. I'm sure a lot has to do with the heavier steel shafts instead of the lighter graphite of the old clubs. One other thing I've noticed is that these clubs only want to go straight. Very little sidespin, which is what I needed. Now that I've got some experience with them I'm very happy with the purchase. I can go pin-hunting now, something I've not really been able to do before.

I picked these up on a whim from American Golf Discount - £299. Second best investment I ever made in golf equipment (the ping G5 driver still rates as the best!).

After using them at least weekly for the last 6 months, I really couldn't be happier.

They are long, accurate and forgiving. They also give you a fairly high ball flight.

I am hitting greens now that I know damn well I wouldn't have been 6 months ago...and as a result I haven't shot over 90 for the last 5 rounds.

I highly recommend giving them a go.

Oh my god these are good - toe it, heel it top it or hit it fat and it is going further and srtaighter than ever!!! Took 5 off my score on the 1st round I played and now will easilly break my duck on the 100 mark this week... just gettin back into the golf at the mo following a 13 tr gap so these are just amazing - added 20yrds per club to my shots with 5i circa 200yrds+ and you can clear 100yrds with the 10 wedge without trying so beware you need to range them in prior to playing!! 7i is a dream and the 4i out-drives a lot of folk on the coure who pull out the driver each and every hole - YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!

I started golfing when I was young, but have been off and on since (mostly off). Anyways, I just graduated from college and decided to blow part of my first pay check on a new set of irons. I chose Callaway because I love my Callaway Great Big Bertha driver from around 10 years back (still works great, but has been replaced with a Callaway Big Bertha Ti 454), and I trust their renown name brand over most others. These irons have replaced my previous Yonex ADX200's, which have served me well throughout the years. After my first driving range session, these clubs have met, if not exceeded, my initial expectations. The irons are relatively easy to hit and very forgiving. I've hit a few fat shots on the course and have been very surprised to see the progress my ball would make despite the errors. I'm not saying these clubs will enable you to hit every shot perfectly, but I attest that the forgiveness factor far exceeds that of any other club I have ever used (with an exception to the Callaway Fusion irons I tested at the store). I have no regrets buying these clubs and would gladly do it again if I were given a second chance.
