Callaway Diablo Edge 3 and 4 Hybrids
I purchased these hybrids from the Callaway pre-owned website as part of a combination iron-hybrid set, listed as "outlet" condition. Both have graphite shafts (firm flex) and standard Callaway grips. I will be replacing the grips sometime in the spring, as I have never been a fan of stock Callaway grips. Other thann the grips, I'm really happy with these clubs and feel my decision to replace my long irons with these was a good one. The problem with my game was that I was inconsistant with my long iron play. On a good day, I could hit a 3 iron about 210 yards in the air, and hit a 4 iron about 190. The problem was that on a bad day, these yardages dropped to about 190 for the 3 and 170 for the 4 iron. I hit these clubs consistantly no matter how I'm hitting my mid and short irons. I can count on about 175 yards with the 4 hybrid (give or take about five yards), and about 190 yards (again give or take a handful of yards), regardless of whether I'm feelin "on" or "off" that day. As a high handicapper with little experience, I was happy to break 100 after playing golf for 11 months. If I had these clubs when I started, I probably would have broken 100 two months sooner.
