These clubs took me from consistent high 90's to low 90's in every round since I purchased them (about 10 rounds now). I haven't had 9 in the 50's since. The weighting of the clubs keeps be better on line with my swing and when I do miss-hit the Berthas keep it going up and forward (instead of shooting along the ground or spraying right). I traded my Original Big Berthas for these and my confidence on the course has increased dramatically. I know that even when I miss that the shot won't be embarassing. The most common phrase heard from my standard foursome when I miss-hit and it goes on the green anyway is "You can thank Callaway for that shot!"

Model Reviewed: Big Bertha 2002 IRONS

The irons are tough to get used to at appearance. The top line is thick. I switched from ISI K's so performance match was essential. The club is very easy to hit. The ball gets up quick, so shots do go further. Overall, the irons have a very large sweet spot and do help all levels of golfers.

i shoot in the 50s but i've shot more in the 40's with these clubs than any others.i still think i spent too much money on them because of my handicap and general dissatisfaction of the game at this time.but they are the easiest clubs to hit on the market and if i get rid of them that means i'm selling my taylor made 360. and quitting the game entirely.if your going to improve with any irons, it will be these. if you don't improve enough, sell then and this high priced recreational industry out entirely.

I was reluctant to try these because of their appearance. Big, clunky, everything an iron shouldn't be. Well, I was wrong. I took the 6 iron out for a demo round at our club - couldn't hit a bad shot for 18 holes. Even mis-hits turned out better than average. I birdied two holes I normally bogey. Returned to the pro shop and ordered a set on the spot. I have now played a few rounds with my new irons. They are even better than I expected! The 7 and 8 iron are like silk, and the addition of a 10 iron and wedge are pure genius. Callaway has built the scoring irons into the set for you - all you have to do is use them. I was fully prepared to buy the new Taylor Made 360 irons - am I ever glad I made the switch to Callaway! Don't let the thick topline and clunky appearance throw you off. Just line up your target, take a decent swing, and go find your ball on the fairway or green. That's how effortless these clubs are. Talk about not judging a book by its cover! These clubs are worthy of serious consideration by anyone who wants to get more enjoyment on the course. Kudos to Callaway for a fine product.

They are big, clunky, and ugly. Do not buy these irons unless you want long, high, and straight shots. I've never broken 80 but I feel confident that the BB's with their added length and increased confidence (especially with the long irons) will help take my game to the next level.

I want to take issue with the last review by dudcheese. How can you hit a few balls into a net and opine on the pros and cons of this club. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Callaway fan and as a matter of fact, I play Mizuno irons. But for you to give a review based on a limited number of swings into the net just skews the overall rating. Play several rounds or many for that matter before you form an opinion. I don't like their looks but until someone who onws them and says otherwise based upon their experince, I'll give them a five to offset duhcheese uninformed rating

What a big head you have! I went to Edwin Watts a couple of weeks ago and hit every demo club off the mat that they had. The X-14's were amongst the best for me. These huge things were amongst the worst for me. Now I only put a couple of swings on the club, and to be honest I probably just couldn't get used to looking down at that huge club head. With the few swings I took, I hit nothing solid.

These clubs are great! They have improved my game so much, by allowing me to hit the ball far off the farway. I would recommend these clubs to anyone who is interested in improving their game.
