Four years now with these irons!Never think to change, it is difficult to have a better set. Butter Feel, Very Accurate, Solid, and long enough. During competition, you can be sure that you are on the cruise control. What do you need more? |

Wow. I read a lot about these before buying. A friend bought a used pair before me, and said I would never play the same again...he was right. They came highly recommended and I reviewed this site first. These clubs greatly improved my game. Broke 90 for the first time and now shoot consistently in the 80s. 82 and 83 are my best. GREAT CLUBS...I had to share the news. Much better feel than Callaway X14s, Ping Eye Twos and everythig else I tried. Instant feedback for making the next shot better. They are also very long. Pitch wedge - 150, 8-iron 165..I swing slow with fast bottom, so it's all relative. Gives confidence when playing a new course or with new people. Email if you have questions, I will not hesitate to share information. I am buying a newer used set as I write. |

I use a combination of Ben Hogan & Callaway X16's, I am 14 years old with a 4 Handicap & the current Scottish Open Stroke/Play Champion 2003, I use the Ben Hogan high Iron's for that extra feel, which seems to suit my game, but I am always on the lookout for that ultimate feel it is out there, I just have to find the right combination. |

Having played with Hogan Apex II 20 years ago, I thought it would be a good idea to purchase a new set. Unfortunately they do not offer the Apex (blade)for lefties so I tried the Apex Plus and let the salesman talk me into a regular shaft. That didnot work, then the Apex stiff shaft and finally rifle 6.0 shafts. After 3 sets of these clubs, I gave up on Hogans. As a matter of fact I prefer my Apex II to the Apex plus. Yet now I'm using MacGregor PMBs which are far better for me. Customer Service ok Similar Products Used: MacGregor PMB, Titleist 762, Mizuno 30 |

these are the best irons for me by far. they are very well balanced and have such a buttery feel. the trajectory is slightly lower than normal andthe mis-hits are not horrible. i have played almost all brands of clubs and have spent thousands on my quest for the perfect irons. these are the closest to perfection with my good but imperfect swing. please call the hogan company and tell them that they are barking up the wrong tree with their new game improvement irons. they should slightly tweak the apex plus irons and remarket them as the apex plus one irons. Customer Service never used Similar Products Used: cleveland ta 2 digs too much but solid feel, taylor made rac combo tp solid and beautiful but harder feel, titleist mb and cb not bad but not as good a forging |

I have played just about every iron made. Trying to determine the best set up for my game. Needless to say a few years ago I played Hogans Apex Plus and fell in love. My game went from low 80's to low 70's within one year. Could not believe the effect they had. Set up was standard length with some additonal weighting on the back but #4 shafts where a perfect match. I would recommended these to anyone who doubts HOGANS CLUBS!! When I went to upgrade I agonized over either the Apex Edge or the Apex Plus. The Edge seemed more to my ability level. I read every review on both and was tending to the Edge because I thought the Plus were too much club for me, 23 handicap. I hit my son's in March, still snow on the ground, with frozen shag balls that were in the garage. His have #4 shafts, needless to say this didn't impress me, a little thin was Baddddddddd. I was serious about the Edge but decided to go with the Plus'. I found a new set of Plus' with #3 graphite on them and my handicap as of today hit 17. Everyone who wrote "butter" are exactly right, I now know what they mean. I am 1 club better with the Hogan's and the off center hits are not that bad. Great clubs, Hogan should bring them back. Customer Service Haven't had to use it. Similar Products Used: TM 320, Mizuno CompEZ |
