What a wonderful set of sticks! I bought these new still in the plastic for $160.00. Currently some are still selling these retail for $800.00, so when the chance came to buy Hogan blades, I just couldn't pass it up. The #4 Apex shafts are a bit stiff, but perfect if the speed in your swing is put in the right spot. Bottom line-laser like accuracy and I don't hook these at all. The look at address is very confidence inspiring. Aesthetically very pleasing. The long irons are easy to hit which is a plus too. I think one would be hard pressed to find a better looking iron at a better price. |

I just purchased these on ebay about 2 months ago. I've played about 5 rounds with them. These are the best irons that i have ever hit. when i bought these i did not think that these would allow as much forgiveness as they do. you don't have to hit it on the sweat spot every time for a good result. i recomend that you get the #4 shafts. i would recomend these clubs to anyone who is a scratch golfer to about a 15 handicap. i would compare them to the mizuno irons. I bought my Apex Plus set with #4 shafts when they first hit the market in 99. Since then I tested other new clubs as they arrived each year, and I have never found a reason to change. These are the sweetest clubs I have ever owned or played, and I have played many. When hit on the sweet spot, the feel is just heavenly soft... really. The long irons are easy to get airborne. With the 4-iron, the Callawy HT Tour I play flies 205 and stops consistently within 2 steps of the pitch mark. The mid irons are just as sweet, and shots come off the short irons with a low to mid trajectory and perfect spin rate. Around the greens they are superb. The only changes I made were to add the Gap Wedge a year after I bought them, and added a forged BH Riviera SW to get a bit more bounce in the bunkers.

Bought these on a whim at a local shop that allows returns on used clubs. Returned them after three rounds. I made the mistake of getting regular (# 3 shafts). They played like senior shafts. I was hitting big hooks and felt like I needed to slow my tempo to a crawl. If you buy them be sure to get the stiff shafts. I also have a fond facination of sheep. Customer Service No experience. These are the most beautiful clubs I've owned. It's still possible to find a brand new set on ebay, and I bought these new for $225. I've used them for about four months, and when struck well, they are tremendous. The long irons have a great trajectory, and the short irons can drop and stop the ball. However, I found that I did have to hit them precisely on the sweet spot, and even when I did, I found that I lost distance compared to the Adams Tight Lies GT tour irons I previously used. Maybe I'm not good enough for these irons, but I am looking for another set. Customer Service Not needed Similar Products Used: Adams Tight Lies GT-Tour |

The Hogan Apex Plus is a well thought out instrument. My set is six years old and I acquired them used in great condition. They are very durable for forged. Graphics are smart and clean. Simply elegant. Mid handicappers can expect great performance from these little gems. They are smooth as butter when struck well, and while not punishing on mis-hits, the feedback is very useful with an average loss of 10% in distance for such shots. The hitting area is generous with a distance to match on well struck shots. Workability is good with consistant touch around the green. #3 shafts are between firm and regular. Perfect for most players. Used sets in good condition should last a lond time. These well tuned implements do Mr. Hogan Proud. Buy a set today! Customer Service No needs have arisen as of yet. Purchased a set (3-SW including Gap Wedge) on Ebay for about $100. Found them with rare Hogan 5 (extra stiff) shafts. I've played Hogan Apex Edge Pros, Apex Edge's, Mizuno MP-32s, Ping Eye 2's, multiple TaylorMade sets, I've never found a club I like more. I keep coming back to my old Apex Plus clubs. I'm very partial to the #5 shafts. I've played extra stiff shafts before, but none like these. The club heads are just perfect. They give far more feedback than the Apex Edge Pros. Nothing feels better than solid contact with an apex plus, nothing. Don't know what I'll do when my clubs wear out. Finding theses babies new with #5 shafts is nearly impossible. I'll enjoy them while I have them. At the risk of being repetitive, nothing feels better than making solid contact with an apex plus club |

These are very nice forged clubs. The heads are heavier, which can help slow down your tempo. When hit consistantly, they are long. After getting these I'm hitting up to 2 clubs less. The mis-hits give you good feedback. The clubs are more forgiving then I expected from forged. Great trajectory. Get these on e-bay for a great value of under $200. |

These Ben Hogan Apex Plus are the real deal! They are accurate and when you hit them right you get rewarded. If you want to know what golf is really about? Get you a set of the Ben Hogan Apex Plus! They were a $1000.00 when they first came out on the market! Now you can hope to buy a set on ebay for a lot less money. They play as good or even better than the new ones. The newer ones are priced less than the Apex Plus when they first came out. What does that say? The old saying goes "you get what you pay for!" What does that tell you! At current prices the best value among players clubs. I found them to be as good as the newer Edge Pro's and FTX in terms of feel and performance. These clubs penalize poor swings, but give you enough feedback to improve quicker than clubs that cover your errors. These forced me to control my tempo to make better contact. The upside is that once I adjusted I picked up a consistent 10 yards per club and lost 4 strokes per round. I liked the more penetrating trajectory versus my TM320s. Unfortunately, a buddy of mine lost a set (from his grandfather) and I gave him mine during a moment of weakness. I'm looking for another set to replace them.
