The Idea irons are really two sets in one. The #3 and #4 i-woods are awesome, better than regular long irons - straight, precise and long. I'll be dumping my 5 wood, only keeping the 3 wood - still needed for those second shots on par 5's and tight fairways. From #5 through PW irons they're really different from anything else I've played - forgiving, long and accurate. Love the shafts and their lengths, great for tall players like me. Adams has introduced something new that really works! Job well done! Customer Service Wrote them suggesting equipment modifications and answered very fast. The entire set is easy to hit well. The graphite tipped GT shafts are superb. My accuracy has increased significantly. The design makes a lot of sense. Ball positioning by short and mid irons are explicit. The i-woods are a joy to hit. An easy 5-star rating... |

I purchased these irons because I thought the technology made sense and I was not wrong. The 3 and 4 "iron" are great in both the distance and accuracy category and the rest of the irons are not only longer than the Pings I was using but more accurate as well. I also have the 363 Driver and I think it is the best buy on the market for the technology you get. |

i just got back into golf after a six-year lay-off. my game was never particularly good, and hitting anything longer than a 6-iron was a crapshoot at best. these irons are very easy to hit. the ball goes high and straight. i've hit the 3-i-wood 215 yards, roll included, onto the green when i was just trying to lay up. i have no complaints from these clubs. as my swing gets better, i'm getting more consistent results, and have been able to work the ball a little bit, which is totally new to me. no regrets at all on this purchase. Customer Service had to special order stiff flex graphite shafts, and the deal was done and the clubs arrived in a couple of days. |

These irons have enough feel to let you know you missed but feel both soft and solid on pure shots, even with the graphite shaft. The 4iwood seems like a different club than the rest of the set; I get in trouble trying to cut this club but get consistently good results from draw swings, expect a trajectory closer to a long iron than a high lofted fairway wood. Overall, these irons are easy to hit, accurate and forgiving. The sole gets through the shot without digging like some game improvemnt clubs do. Ball flight tends to be high and straight; distance control is very good even with the graphite shafts. I take one less club on approach shots than I do with my old set ('95 DCI gold, steel R) due to a longer overall length and stronger lofts. These are easier to hit than any irons I have ever played. Traditionalists and hard swingers may want more weight and workabilty even though gentle curves are playable with these irons. Knockdowns work but fly a little higher than I would like. If you have a fast tempo and or/a high club head speed you may want to consider the GT steel/graphite combination shaft. I usually don't post reviews but thought these irons needed a boost to make up for the miss keyed post. I recommend them to any open minded player looking accuracy and ease of play. Customer Service I called HQ and got excellent help in regard to fitting and ordered the 5-pw one degree upright. Similar Products Used: Just about everything expt the MX-15s and I-3+ blades. |

Adams Idea Irons (Senior Graphite)
Chances are, you are probably a better golfer than I am. I began playing at the age of 6, but I gave up golf at 17 and didn't play for 35 years. In the Spring of 2002, my wife wanted me to teach her how to play golf. I thought that was a very bad idea. We bought new clubs (at Sportmart - an ok place) and hit the driving range at the local club. My slice, dormant for 35 years, cam back like herpes. We took a few lessons and I lost my slice. After six months, I had the itch to buy newer irons (Orlimar SF 302's - an eBay purchase). Although I like them, the club faces are not forgiving enough for my inconsistent swing. Recently, I put in a bid on a set of Adams Idea irons on eBay (very low price - way below the $499 list) and got lucky with my bid. I took delivery of the irons, yesterday, and I hit the range, today. Wow! Look, if you can hit a 3 and 4 iron with consistant accuracy, you don't need a semi-wood design like the Idea 3 and 4. Without putting words in the Adams Company's literature, I don't think the Idea Irons have a scratch golfer as their prime demographic. Simply put, based on a large bucket of range balls which I hit, today, these irons will improve my game by a major leap. The super soft Winn grips (ideal for my XXL hands), the large iron faces and the wonderful feel of contact spell confidence for me. I hit six range greens in a row with these clubs....probably no biggie for you....but major league for me. Many courses in the warmer climates are having their Spring club demo days with reps and clubs from the big boys. Check out the Adams Idea Irons if you get the chance. For us in the "high handicapper" status, happiness could be yours. Great feel, very forgiving, handsome, and priced right - even at list. Customer Service No Need. I just bought these after a long search for the right new irons. I have never liked hitting long irons and this set was the perfect solutions. The look and feel was just right from the pw thru the 5 iron. The accuracy of the pw thru 5 iron is incredible. The hybrid 3 & 4 are very good and will stay in my bag. They even come with a 30 day guarantee to make sure I liked them. I won't need to bring them back I love these new irons!
