adams idea pro irons
I've been playing golf for 32 years and always preferred the traditional look in my irons...I played Hogan apex blades for years but thought i needed more forgiveness as my knees gave out and my strength started to leave me ...am 61 yrs old...after playing ping i3+ blades for a year...I decided to try at our local golf store a demo set of the beautiful Adams idea pro forged irons ...after hitting them pure into a net I took them to the course...They far exceeded my expectations...I loved the forged feel..the look at address and hit them dead straight and 1/2 a club longer than my Pings...The black gold rifle shafts are a perfect fit !!!! and I had the stiff shafts!!! I thought stiff wouldn't work....WRONG...and I don't feel I need to swing them hard...Even thought they are considered a blade...they are very forgiving with a solid feel...I bought a gap wedge as pitching wedge was a bit too long on my course and lob wedge to use in sand and lobs...This comes as a combo set but I just bought the P to 5 with the optional 4 tritech iron on order... as good as the hybrids are...I was happy with my Nickent hybrids but missed my 4 iron...these are great clubs...I shot a 79 at a very tough course the first round I used them...my partner thought I was a 5-6 handicap...not the 11 I am lol..had I used my new Nike sumo squared driver..might have gone a lot lower :) its loud and proud and oh so straight !! If you are looking for new irons..give Adams a try...they are not old mans clubs..you can work the ball..and very forgiving... Customer Service great Similar Products Used: ping i3+ blades, hogan apex.. |

good solid feeling sticks, don't care much for the 3&4 hybrids for me the older idea A2 hybrids are better and longer and more playable. do like the black gold shafts more than dgs300's. seem to be more stable through impact.

The previous post was done before Adams Golf replied to me, and I thought I had it cancelled, didn't know why it was posted; my apologies to Marc from Adams.
Customer Service The clubs arrived really fast, and they've been trying their best to offer me solutions. It's unfortunate that the brand is working with a retailer who's indifferent. |

Ordered a set of Adams idea Pro combos from an authorized Singaporean retailer about 2 weeks ago, after deliberating between Mizunos, Titleist and PINGs. I've played S59 Tours for the last 2 years, and felt I can handle something stronger, the True Temper Black Gold shafts in R-flex felt excellent when I tested it, and I ordered the set, even though Adams is not the most-recognized brand here.
Customer Service Terrible. Shipped really fast (2 weeks from order to delivery to Singapore is FAST), but the clubs were not priced properly, and I did not get what I paid for, and no one bothered to reply. So much for customer "service". Similar Products Used: PING S59 Tours, Taylormade RAC combo, Titleist 690.CB, Mizuno MX-23 |

Adams Pro Forged Irons/Hybrids
I absolutely love these clubs! I have always played with the cavity back more forgiving type cast irons (played TaylorMade 200 Steel for past 5 years). I played well with the 200s, but wanted to take my game to the next level (single digit hncp) and I believe these irons will pave the way. All the reviews I've read about these irons were from scratch golfers or 1-9 hncp'ers...as such, I thought they may be too much of a player's irons for me as a mid hncp'er. However, I love the look at address, the small cavity back still gives some forgiveness and my launch angle is high and straight(S flex) with no significant loss is distance over my 200's...and I'm finally able to work the ball. I now know what "feels like butter" truly means...hitting these solid is buttery soft! As for the hybrids...they are awesome. I'd prviously used the TM Rescue Dual and I like these much better. The hybrids have a solid feel with a sleeker look...great confidence booster.

After trying the r7 TP irons and the X-20 tour irons I felt frustrated that I might not find a new set of irons to replace my existing staff ultra 45's that are at the end of their 13 year run.
Customer Service Haven't had to use. Similar Products Used: R7 TP, and X-20 Tour |

I love these clubs! My ability to play has been diminished with the addition of children so I thought I might go with a "easy to hit club" and I bought Callaway Fusions on a whim to replace my Ping I3's. Absolutely hated the Fusions so I went to the golf shop looking to try the Titleist 755's or Mizuno MP60's. Well I saw the Adams Pro Forged set and licked them up. They looked gorgeous. Took them out to hit them and fell in love immediately. The irons have a wonderful feel but aren't too hard to hit. Luscious when hit well and good feedback when not hit in the center. The 3 and 4 hybrids are just too east to hit. It's like cheating with these. I ordered them with +3/4" stiff shafts and 3 degrees upright and i got them in 8 days. I highly recommend these clubs. Customer Service Great so far Similar Products Used: Callaway X12, X14, Fusion

this is one sweet players club. i love the lack of offset. the club sets up beautifully. if you are an old blade traditionalist, like i was, this is the answer. the feel is soft yet gives excellent feedback. i have tried quite a few hybrids and these are the easiest to hit. i have regular shafts and play to a 2. swing speed is between 95 - 100. i highly recommend these if you want to get the ball in the air and have the thin top line look. Bought a set of these irons when they first came out in Novemmer 2006. I immediately liked the feel and the accuracy in which I hit these irons. I demo'd them 3 different days at the range and liked the feel each time.

I can't believe it, I actually love this set of clubs. I always thought Adams were for the "old guys", but there not. Distance is great, feel is outstanding, excellent look at set-up. The Black-Gold shafts, for me, hae a much better feel than the rifles. My only question is, why aren't more people talking about this set of clubs? The hybrid replacing the 3 iron is genious, I strike the ball pretty well (5 hndcp), but the hybrid pro-3 is significantly easier to hit than every "players" three iron I've tried. The 4-Hybrid is also great, although I've ordered the traditional 4-iron to replace it. I still think I have enough of a swing to hit an actual 4-iron, at least in my mind I do. Has any one else tried these clubs? Let me know if I've lost my mind or are these really as solid of a set as I think! Used to be a Callaway guy, tried the X20-Tour, really wanted to love them, but the Adams just flat-out out performed them. Customer Service Excellent. Special order arrived 6 days after I ordered them. 1/2 degree up, one extra wrap. Similar Products Used: Callway X-20 Tour, Mizuno MP-60, Taylormade R7-TP. |
