I am 63 years young, 12HCP. Been playing for over 50 years. Have been playing Mizuno blades for years. Not getting any stronger so went with the Adams A4s at the recommendation of my 60 year old scratch buddy. Adams, where have you been all my life? These A4s are the best clubs I've owned. Pure feel on pure strikes. Wonderful distance. They are about 2-3 degrees stronger than my Mizuno MP68s and 1/2 club longer. I can't tell you how solid these feel. And here's the good part; got them on ebay from a guy who has a shop. Plastic was still on 5 of the 8 pcs. 4H-Gap edge. About $180. Best equipment deal I've made. Consistent, accurate, soft. Mine are the cast version--my buddy's are forged and you can't tell the difference. If you can find a good set, get'em. You won't be sorry.

I purchased the 5-PW heads on eBay and also got new TT X300 shafts for 5 bucks ea. on EBay. First few shots were a bit right, probably because they were a little heavier than I had been used to playing. Once I got dialed in I was amazed at the feel and the piercing trajectory, I also was over one club longer. They have quite a bit of forgiveness and are easily workable. No sign at all of ballooning and the feel was just perfect for me.

Was looking for a set of minimal offset no frill & low priced irons,these are them,got them brand new for $190 last week,played one round,very satisfied with performance. Was not big Adams fan but tried out some used drivers two weeks ago,wound up with the Adams a4 Tech,traditional pear shape pleasing to the eye at address,absolutely crushing it straight & long,better than Taylormade SF2.0,great sound too!!!They are a steal on ebay for about $50.00

I shoot in the range of 90+/- and play Adams hybrids which I do like. Heard good things about A4 forged iron so I decided to give it a try. ebayed a 5i-PW set that come with Prolaunch Blue stiff shaft and had the set adjusted/fitted for correct loft/lie for my swing.
One thing for sure, stiff graphite shaft does not feel any stiffer than R-flex graphite shaft, so don't hesitate to consider S shaft .
I hit Adams A4 quite well, I think having the whole iron set adjusted/fitted makes a huge difference. I also play Mizuno MX-23 and I hit this set quite well... Between the two sets, accuracy is about the same, however the Mizuno MX-23 forged iron "feels" softer ... Now I keep both sets for a long time to come

Am a senior golf pro and found the A4R irons to be exactly what I was looking for. Actually they exceeded my expectations. I got the stiff shafts and always liked irons with thin top lines. A4R has terrific feedback and feel, easy to get them up in the air, knock them down, whatever you like. Should work for the average player as well as the better player.They are an absolute bargain in the golf world. Feel like I stole them for the price I paid.

Looking for a thinner profile after using the oversized irons and took a chance on these. Best buy I've made in golf equipment. They feel good, look great, allow you to work the ball and best of all the price was outstanding.

In this age of irons that are super high teck with bumps and bulges, offsets and insets, the A4's remain a breath of fresh air. They are almost elegant in appearance and feel. I have a set with steel shafts and a set with the Matrix Studio graphite shafts. Those are excellent 84 gram "engines" to drive the forged heads. The A4's are not for beginners but one certainly not be a single diget to enjoy them. The 7-PW are especially accurate and put impressive spin on the ball. The A4's look like a players club but we mere mortals can ceratinly enjoy them. I'm not a big fan of the boxer hybrids that came with the A4's so have combined the A4's with A7 model hybrids. They were a great iron new and are still. Do keep headcovers on the irons. You'll be glad you did.
