ZT Fairway 3 Wood
Another beautiful club from Zero Tolerance. I have the ZT Fairway 3 wood, with a Power 65 shaft in firm flex. This setup was recommended by John based on my swing speed and other factors; he was right on. This club produces long, mid trajectory shots that fly straight and true. Average distance off the turf was 225 - 235 yards; a little longer off the tee. An ideal club for long par 5s, or off the tee on tight par 4s. Feel is very solid. Sound is somewhat muted, not tinny, almost persimmon-like. Customer Service As usual, customer service at ZT was great. Similar Products Used: TM Burner Bubble, Callaway Steelhead |

ZT Crown Jewel fairway
Getting older with a slower swing speed I rely on my fairway woods more than longer irons. The ZT Crown Jewel Fairway woods have found a permanent home in my bag. I've tried many different fairway woods including the low profile with lower center of gravity. The concept is good but I need a faiway wood with a higher face. With th Crown Jewel fairway, (I play the 3 and 5), The ball is easy to get air bourne from any lie. From the smooth fairway to the higher cut rough. Customer Service Customer service is excellent. ZT Recommendations to adapt to your own game is a strong ZT philosophy. Similar Products Used: Beat out the Taylor Firesole and Orlimar |

Zero Tolerance Crown Jewel fairway woods
I've never been much of a fairway wood fan, preferring to use irons whenever possible. I've tried several woods, including Tight Lies and Orlimar, but never had enough consistent success to feel confident with one. Eventually I tried a 13 degree Zero Tolerance Fairway Master, and it worked better than anything up to that point. I've used it for about a year. But I still was unable to get consistent distance, direction, or trajectory. This week I got 15-degree and 19-degree models of the new Crown Jewel fairway woods, and what an eye opener they were. I never thought I'd find a club I liked as well as my TiSI driver, but these clubs are its match and more. The blue heads are beautiful, and matching them with the blue/black ZT Power 65 shaft makes an even more attractive club. The face is deeper than recent shallow-faced clubs but not too much so. I've found both clubs very easy to hit. The heads seem a bit heavy and I was overswinging at first, but once I dialed back the swing and let the clubs do the work, they were a delight. I've never hit any club that felt quite the same. Sound and feel are both muted. The closest image I can conjure to describe the feel is that of a well struck topspin forehand coming off the sweet spot of a tennis racket, when you feel the strings grab the ball and then propel it up and over the net. That's what these clubs seem to do. Not an explosive feel but more solid and satisfying. Trajectory is perfect and consistent, as is distance. I'm getting about 240 yards with the 3 wood and 210 with the 5 wood. Very straight, easy to control and forgiving. And no problem working the ball either way. I've driven with the 3 several times and have not missed a fairway yet. I've choked up and used a two-thirds swing on some long par 3s and feel like I have the control of a wedge. These are really going to be stoke savers, and I'm afraid some irons are going to be vacating the bag. Don't know anything more I could ask of a club. I'd think they could be used by players of any skill level. Customer Service Absolutely first rate. Similar Products Used: None |
