Wilson Deep Red Driver 365cc
In the 90's is the description of my level of play! Not for much longer, my strength has always been my short irons and putting, nearly always get up and down!! So how do you play in the 90's you cry!! Because I am weak from the tee, hardly ever use my driver because of the sheer uncertainty of where it was going, hence hardly make green in two hence the 90's! Get to the point, you shout!! Well yesterday I took delivery of my Wilson Deep Red Driver! took it to the local driving range with very low expectations, as I was sure it was my lack of talent rather than inadequate equipment! Well I unfortunately was placed right in the middle of the range, the centre of attention as i pulled the cover of my new charge!! No pressure!! I teed up, had a few practice swings, felt comfortable so let rip!! And to my utter amazement the ball flew straight down the middle with about a ten yard fade, over the back hedge and out of the driving range! OVER 260 YARDS ON THE FLY!!! As you can imagine I was a might suprised but was convinced it was a fluke, so spanked another one, exactly the same 260+ on the fly and god knows how much roll!! I hit about 50+ balls with the driver, and OK some were a little on the dodgy side, but 8 out of 10 were long and straight!! i am one happy chappy!! Got my tee time sorted for sunday, a score in the eighties iminent (I hope)!! Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: Wilson 305 Deep Red Wilson Pro Staff Drver |

Deep Red fairway 3 and 5 reg shafts
You either love 'em or hate 'em. Thats what most people feel about the deep red series. Well I love 'em. The consistency from the top quality Grafalloy shafts is what makes the difference. It all makes sense, less torsion, more volume in the shaft all means that you will get more consistent flex every time. If you don't get consistenet results then it is most likely the operator and not this club. The heads are well made with a smallish head and are pretty easy to hit from any lie. You can open them or close them down and know what results you are going the get. They have generally medium to high flight. But if you work your right side a bit for and squeeeze the shot from you right hand you get the boring fast rolling flight. I picked up my fisrt one for $220 australian then the next one a year later for $300 australian... which I still thought good value compared to the $499 for a 975F. Anyway... all in all a good quality club that is versatile. Similar Products Used: ping, titliest, callaway |

3 Wood ( 15º ) Graphite Stiff Flex
Easy to swing. Feels well balanced. Great distance when you catch it flush, especially off the tee ( although the head is relatively small, it's deceptively powerful). I get 280 off tee & 260 off the fairway when well struck. I'm thinking of moving to the steel shafted version as I think accuracy may be more consistent. Head retains its translucent gloss pretty well, if you look after it. Similar Products Used: Nickent BBPlus |
