The best fairway wood I've ever hit. Very long, nice mid trayectory, fairly easy to hit and easy to control. I played a Sonartec SS02, and SS03 and a Taylormade V Steel before buying this one. I played 4 rounds with it so far and I could not be happier. Myabe expensive but well worth considering.

I tried every 3 wood on the market including wild stuff like the knife. I have a tendancy to hit the ball too high and lose distance even with the 980. I tried the 980 Strong and it was perfect. Got the trajectory of my old 975F but with more accuracy and distance. I can stick the ball on the green from 230-240 out or hit it 250 -260 down the fairway. This is my goto club because I know I can hit it. I have a tendancy to snap hook a drive so I need distance to save par and this thing has been my round saver. Shot a 2 over 74 last weekend and this club saved my 4 times off the tee and gave me an Eagle on a par 5 because I hit the middle of the green from 240. I love it. The taylor made 200, cobra, and cleveland were easier to hit but not near as acurate or long (go to high). The 980f was acurate but not long enough (also too high) and the 980f strong 15 is perfect.

Best golf investment in my bag. I just picked up 980F Strong 15 and simply the best fairway wood in my opinion. Feel at impact is simply awsome. It's long off the tee and runs quite well as well. I've been using steel shaft on my woods and you can really control this club very nicely. Highly recommended and you won't regret getting one in your bag.

Replace my 975F with Titleist speeder for 980 Strong. Could not be more happy. Lost distance due to steel shaft but gain a lot of control and confidence to this new fairway wood. Easy to hit from turf or on tee. This is an excellent 3 wood in my opinion. I like the deep face and the round sole plate which I think help when playing in rough.

Picked this model over the "standard" version due to increased face height. Long, accurate, fairly easy to hit from turf, and great from tees. Kind of a cross between the PT and 975F model in size. Use steel shaft for control, and heavier weighting. This club knocked a Sonartec SS-03 out of the bag, just as long, great trajectory, and more forgivness. Best fairway offering from Titleist to date!

Customer Service
