5 & 3 woods.
Beautiful crafstmanship & finish. Solid feel & sound when struck flush. Forgiving enough on mis-hits, but doesn''t try to adjust when struck propperly. A great deal of golf is mental, if you really think you need the latest and most expensive club to compensate, then by all means blow your money. If you have confidence in your swing and simply want a good solid wood, give these a try. |

Taylor Made Supersteel 3-wood
I got this club from a friend for a reasonably good price. Before this, I purchased a Callaway Steelhead Plus (strong) and that proved to be the worse club I have ever hit (I even enjoyed the original Steelhead more). I do not use a driver so I use the 3 off the tee. The Supersteel has a bit of a low profile to it so I had to adjust the tee height slightly lower. The club is long off the tee and far more solid than the Steelhead. The lower profile club offers easy access off of the fairway. The Steelhead had a tendency to be very unforgiving, often going less than 100 yards if hit improperly. The Supersteel on the other hand was far more solid, offering greater distance when hits got away from me. The trajectory is higher than the clubs I have tried but this could be due to the tee height. Although it gave me a few problems, it was still far more accurate than the Callaway. The one problem I have with this club is its tendency to hook high and to the right (the Steelhead never gave me this type of action). Overall, the Supersteel is a decent club but a great value for the money. They should be very cheap as they have been replaced by the 200 series (which are far superior to this club). A solid club for an affordable price! Customer Service Nada Similar Products Used: Callaway Steelhead, Callaway Steelhead Plus, Taylor Made 200 Series |

Wow, I love them, Money was object for me as I was spending insurance money(someone stole my van), I opted for the steel, because I wasn't looking for super distance, with my fairway woods( i get that with my new Deep Red (go read my post), I wanted feel and confidence. The Bubles were to flexy and too light. I love the 3 wood, I am waiting for my 5 wood, its on order. carry the 3 wood off the ground about 240 on the range and that is plenty fine for me. I can draw, fade, slice, hook, and even hit it from the sand quite well, Very satisfied. Similar Products Used: titliest, Orlimar, adams, callaway, Ping |

Got the 3 wood in the rifle r-80 shaft and played with it for about 6 months or so and would at times really miss the ball bad. I'am a good ball striker, not the longest out there but usually pretty consistent so I figured out what was wrong was the rifle shaft was to heavy for the club head at 120 grams. I then decided to re-shaft to graphite but only bubble shafts will fit because of the tip diameter, and I couldn't get bubble shafts for a decent price. The one and only shaft with a diameter that is close was made by graman and after putting that shaft on wow what a difference; so much more feel w/ graphite, the graman shaft weighs 75 grams versus the 120 in steel. I can now feel the clubhead. My sugestion stay away from steel on this driver go only with graphite plus it goes further as well. Similar Products Used: callaway, cleveland, orlimar |

Sold my Taylormade Midsize woods 2 years ago. Since then, bought cobra, steelheads, trimetals with poor results. None of these compared to supersteel. Purchased 3 and 5 wood Fall 2000. Thought I would never find replacements for my midsize's. SuperSteels are the best, hit long and straight. Just ordered a 7 wood and 250cc driver at tgw.com for 129.00 each. Buy them before there all gone (discontinued).... Customer Service none Similar Products Used: Cobra, Trimetals, Steelheads. |

I just demoed it today and it's such a great club. Swing it easily and it just goes straight and long. I didn't try the steel shaft version 'cos they didn't have it there today. But I'd have to say I'm quite pleased with the bubble shaft though despite of the negative comments. Similar Products Used: None |

I used to have old Pro Fore cheapy woods, which are appropriate for my age of 12. Then for my birthday I recieved a whole new set of woods, and they were the ones that had been wanting since my last birthday had passed my by (when I got my supersteel Burner Irons). So anyway I try them out for the first time and I hit fairways with length of proportions I have never seen the likes of me or my golf buddies hit with before. My first hit with the driver sailed 235 yards at Egypt Valley Golf Similar Products Used: Just about every club they carry at Golf Galaxy, so you get the idea. |
