My wife got me this club (Mid 3, 19*, Stiff Graphite) for my birthday and I've been extremely impressed with the performance and playability of the club. I've had a bunch of different hybrids I've either made/tried out and this one is the best performing one I've hit. It's a club you can use from 180-205 yards and stop it on the green. My first day hitting the club I dropped 5 balls at 205 and put 4 of 5 on the green. It's got great workabilty and feel, which should suit about any handicap level. Compared to the new Callaway Hybrids, I seem to hit this one much better and accurately. Overall, I would highly recommend this club. Shop around and you'll find some great deals.

This club is long and forgiving. You can work the ball both ways. I put a 2 Rescue Mid in my bag to play tee shots into the wind and have found the club to carry almost as long as my R5 driver. Great club.

I bought the 22* reg. graph. shaft about a year ago. When I first hit it I was not that impressed. After getting use to it, it's my bread and butter club. I love this club. If I didn't already have a shop full of clubs I would go get all of the hybirds. The 22* is like a 3 iron or 9 wood. I don't carry a 3 or 4 iron any more. And don't need a 7 or 9 wood with this baby in the bag. Next, I'm going to practice chipping with it. It's a little pricey, but I got a deal on mine. They may come down a little now that the new model is out.

I was ready to go to a hybrid so I researched all the review boards and magazines and decided to buy a Taylor Made Rescue Mid 19* to replace my 3-iron. I like that it has a mid trajectory to it to combat the wind that is usually present on my home course. On a 197 yd uphill par 3 I rolled it to within 7' of the pin. The next hole was a 490 yd par 5 on which I had 194 to the hole on my second shot and landed on the green but it rolled 5 ygs off the green. I out drove the fairway on a 422 yd dog leg right and was in the trees that ran up the left side of the fairway,I was able to keep my shot low and with a little luck I worked it right to left and ended up just short of the green. I simple love this club because of its versitility. I haven't tried it around the greens yet because I am very adept with my 8-iron. I just bought the #5 to replace my 4-iron. This club is a strke saver in my book.

This thing is great. I purchased one yesterday from Golfsmith and went directly to the range. My first shot was 225+ yards dead straight with a beaten up old range ball. It seamed like every shot was straight and long. The sound is great also. It has a high pitch "clink" off the club face and you can barely feel any vibration in the shaft. Even on miss hits the ball will come off the sweet spot. I gave my 5 wood to my room mate when I got home that night.

Broke down and bought one of these to find out first hand what the buzz was all about. I was looking for something to reliably work in the 195-220 yard range, to fit the gap between my 5 wood and 3 iron. After a couple of crooked Tarzan attempts I settled into a soft smooth swing and got a great surprise. The reliability and versatility of this club is off the charts. From the tee, the ball went high and straight and very long, 230 to 240 yards carry. Off the deck 220 to 235 yards, and unbelieveably straight. I felt like I couldn't miss with it and my confidence soared. This is the club I have been looking for to help with the long Par 3s and 2nd shots into Par 5s. Then I started hitting it off the tee on tight driving holes, chips from the fringe, I found myself using this club on 2/3 of my shots. It's incredible. I've always believed that short game instruction and practice were the key to better scores. However, after using this club I would go as far as to say if you want immediate improvement in your game, get one of these clubs.

A wonderful addition to the bag. I removed my 3 and 5 woods for this club so I could still keep my 4 wedges. The club is as long as my 5 wood (225 yds) and serves me well on tight fairways. It is very forgiving even off the tee. Just play it as you would your 5 iron and swing away. shot dispersion is tight. Many have said that this club is as close to cheating as one can get. I think they're right. Give it a try.

I bought this club to fill the void between my 3-iron and driver. I've always carried a 3-wood which was good for distance, but wasn't as accurate off the tee as I would like. I played my first round with the rescue yesterday and was thoroughly impressed. I don't mind sacrificing a few yards for the accuracy this club provides, and I can still hit the club a good 250 on the fly. Plays more like a 1-iron than a 3-iron, and straight! These hybrids aren't just for high handicappers anymore. I'm a 4 handicap and this club is already helping my game.

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made Rescue mid #4 22* Aldila NV 85s Stiff Graphite shaft.

Did a lot of research on this club, and based on the reviews here and the fact that it was the #1 rated hyrid in Golf Digests 2005 equipment ratings, I broke down and purchased the #4 to replace my 3 iron. From the distinctive and pleasing ping this club creates to the straight high loft, I was hooked from the first ball that I hit. I found this club to be very forgiving despite the fact that tour players use this club. I can definetly hit it more consistently than my 3 iron or 3 wood. The shorter shaft (in comparison to a 3 wood) with the hybrid head just oozes confidence. The only disappointment is that I went with the 4 because I read that this club hits one longer (a 4 mid rescue is like a 3 iron and so on). I found that I hit the 4 Rescue like a pure 4 iron. Its ok, though, cuz I rarely can hit a pure, straight 4 iron. I can with this club. I spoke with a buddy though, who has the Rescue 3 (and he loves the club too) and he says that he hits that about 200 yards with a normal swing but can get up to 40 yards more by powering up and swinging harder. I'm sure thats true for every club, but especially with this line of resuce mids, I think you can really vary distance with stronger swings. The stronger swing doesnt sacrifice control or loft. I am so pleased, I just may throw my new Adams Tight lies GT 3 wood in the closet and invest in a Rescue #2.

I was beginning to hit my 3 iron pretty well but nothing like this. This things is straight as an arrow and LOOOONG. I am hitting it 200 - 215 with ease. It has a nice penetrating ball flight with that slow rise before it lands. I recommend this club to anyone, even if you are hitting your 5 wood or 3 iron good. I am looking to get the 16* next. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

I haven't had to use them yet, but I hear they are great. I think they have a 5 year warranty too.
