i bought this club used at a local store. I think i got a steal on it for 40 bucks, didnt even have a scratch. Hits very well and extremely consistent. I'm new to the sport but this club has worked very well for me so far. Highly recommend.

This is my favorite club! I've had this club over 3 years and nothing compares to it! I even purchased a Taylormade Rescue Mid and promptly returned it because I can hit this club so much better! I'm like David Toms..I use this club the most whenever I play and the club never fails me...It is so reliable and I always know what to expect when I hit this club! The loft is 19 degrees and and it came with the Tour S 90 shaft which I would never replace..I love the look of this club and feel fortunate that I was able to discover it by chance at an Oshman's store in Houston Texas a few years ago... I've used it on par 3's, in the fairway for long and short approaches and deduced I don't need a hybrid at all.. If you ever run across this club..snatch it up! I'm a club hog and have tried so many different clubs over the years and this has got to be the best club ever made!! Taylormade...you should reissue it!

Got thus club from a golf store at a discount, but works great. Super feel, tees off great as well as for the fairway. Get this club if you want a high-performance quality club.

A nice compact head on these clubs. I have the x-stiff and am hitting the 3 about 250-260 yards and the 5 about 220-235. Accurate and at the same time I can draw or cut the ball when needed.

I like the appearance of these clubs at address. Appears most appropriate for hitting from the fairway and rough. Both clubs have a boring, penetrating ball flight. I'm actually surprised at how far the ball goes due to the trajectory. Quite a bit different from my driver. For the price I paid I'm very happy. Just wait a year or 2 and save yourself a bunch from what they want for the newer models.

This is a serious club, on the very small side at address. Looks stunning, quality of manufacture is typical TM, awesome. It delivers a low boring, penetrating trajectory, am not a long hitter but on the range , the good shots travel 190-210 yards and are dead straight (or small accidental fades/draws, as I do not know to hit these on purpose) Due to its smallish sized head, has to be reseved at least for my liking to good lies or from the tee, when I am in the light rough I will sacrify distance (20 yards-40 yards) and reach for a trusty big headed 5 or 7 wood. On tight Par 4's/5's much safer to use but 30-40 yards shorter than Driver A Standard TM 300 15 deg(not the tour version) might have been safer for me, but on the long range, am convinced that this club will remain in my bag for a very long time. It is very difficult not to give 5 stars to such a club

I am extremely satisfied with both clubs. I bought them as heavily discounted items. And I'm glad I did. Both have the S-90 tour shaft, as my driver, TM-300 8.5 degree. I bought them to match the driver. I don't like big heads and these fit the bill. I love the 5 wood, because I can shape the shot, hit it for distance (200+ yards), and finesse high soft shots that land on the green & stop. The 3 wood is a little more difficult to hit, but when I do I can hit it 220+ yds. I may take this club out of the bag because I use the 5 wd for every long fairway shot( par 5's), especially after a good drive(250+ yds). It cost me $169 @ Sam's Club. If I flub a drive, the three wood is going to save me strokes. Oh yeah, I have recieved many compliments on the look of these black beauties.

I agree with Walter. I bought this club from TGW.com. It had the r-80 shaft. Two weeks after I bought it, the third time I was using it (off the TEE at the range) the head came flying off and went 80 yards down field. The retarded folks at TGW proceeded to ruin any respect I had for that company. But count me in as saying that I don't trust this club any longer.

Long 3 wood with the ability to shape your shot or hit it straight. I think Walter must have gotten a lemon as these are great clubs (I also have a 17* 4 wood). Prices are reasonable now so they are an outstanding buy (the tour model has been discontinued).Medium trajectory ball flight.
