TRC Utility
The best hybrid I have hit to date, and I have hit them all. The only thing close to me is the Cobra Baffler(2008ish) and the Tour Edge Exotics. These hybrids have stayed in my bag for 10 years, they remind me of the near perfect Titleist 975 fairway metals and have a perfect ball flight. They are undoubtedly the most precise, most predictable clubs I own. They go too, they go and go. I hit them too far at times, example is my 24* which is generally thought to be a 4/5 iron replacement respectively goes 240 when I groove it. And I only hit my driver 285 on a good calm day. I wish they still made these clubs and I wish I had a 26-28* version. That would eliminate my need to carry a 3 and possibly my 4 iron that I hit well maybe 1 out of 2 times, 50% is not good enough considering the TRC I hit well 4 out of 5. You can pick these up for nothing on EBAY, the TRC and the other 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 etc.. made by Sonartec are worth their weight in gold.I recommend them to anyone, they are not only made for great or low handicap players so throw that overused description out with your other hybrids and that 3 iron that you cannot hit very well. Throw em out. I got my 21* TRC for 30$ to my door, and I have earned that 30$ back on the golf course easily X 10. BUY ONE! Again penetrating ball flight, low spin, long and easy to hit. What else would you want for less than 50$? Also note that these are similar more to a small fairway wood like the Titleist 975 than to a always awkward looking hybrid. Old school shape, they have a high pitch sound when you hit them but it not loud, in fact very quiet clubs in my view. Customer Service out of business, split between Golfsmith and Royal Collection I believe?? Sonartec MD Hybrid
I've been trying different hybrid clubs including Ping 5, TaylorMade rescue, Cleveland Halo, Callaway Heaven wood, Walter Hagen...all of the big names, but for some reasons I do not feel comfortable with any. Last weekend I went to the "Second Swing" store and tried the Sonartec MD, 17-degree with UST Irod R-flex shaft. I was so impressed. I hit 20 balls in a row and I could catch the ball cleanly every time, the sound is very good to, IMO. If I could find a 19-degree club on Ebay at less than $100 then I would buy it in a heart beat. Something about the club face and UST Irod R-shaft that make a BIG difference for me. The new club is expensive, IMO, at ~$200, but I think you could find reasonable price on Ebay for less than $100 Similar Products Used: I've heard that the Snake Eyes 653TH hybrid is very good too. I will do more research and test 653TH next, if possible before making decision |

T.R.C 20* reg fuji shaft
I dont want to repeat what the other review stated that is spot on but will add that this club replaces my 3 iron and does it great, it is very long in distance compared to others I have tried and comes with a good shaft in it a Fuji 80 gm mid flex shaft and it feels very stable thru impact. this is great for rough as well. after heavy rains we had here one weekenk this club saved my *** on the muddy course. at around $200 it is worth every penny and should be concidered for a long iron sub. this winter I will try the new Fuji speeder for hybreds the 904 hb shaft in this. this club should fit most mid to low hdcp's bags with ease. Customer Service best around, just ask anyone who has delt with them Similar Products Used: demoed most utility clubs and none felt this good |

Sonartec TRC 22*
Great club! The best of the utility clubs I have played so far. The little rascal saved me between 5-10 shots in the Iowa Masters a couple of weeks ago (the driver wasn't quite right and I was forced to find a way to extricate myself from the rough on several occassions). The Sonartec cut through the thicker grass with ease and I was able to hit the ball both high and low upon demand. It's staying in the bag! Customer Service No experience.
