I just got my G5 today and went to the range right after. I demoed a couple of the top woods (Titleist 904, Orlimar VT830, Ping G2, Nike Ignite T-60, etc) and this one stood out. I could hit a high trajectory and could hit a draw or a fade at will. The G5 went at least 10 yards further than the others and was dead accurate. I love this club.

I recently purchased the Ping G5 3 wood in the 15 degree version. It replaces my Ping G2 3 wood. There are several things that stike me (favorably) about the G5 relative to the G2. It has a larger head and inspires confidence at address. Overall, a great looking club. In my hands, it hits higher and more consistently than the G2 (not that the G2 is a slouch, but the G2 does tend to hit on a flatter trajectory). Distance is very good, comparable to the G2. The club still has the great Ping feel and sound (for Ping fans, you know what I'm talking about). Recommended for those looking for higher launch and better overall control.
