I recently purchased a 7 wood. The club is very easy to hit and extremely forgiving.

Customer Service

Callaway customer service is second to none. After I purchased my Callaway irons, I went in for a fitting. Chuck Cox was extremely professional and very knowledgeable about the golf swing and setting the lie angle.

These fairway woods are absolutely incredible. I got the 5 wood with the stock shaft, firm flex. It took some getting used to for me, someone who likes to draw the ball, to prevent big hooks. However the distance i get with this club is incredible, I hit it 245 on average with occasional hits in the 260s! For someone who isn't big (5'8'') and consequently doesn't feel very comfortable with the 45 inch driver its great to have a club i can count on to put the ball in the fairway at least 2/3 of the time.

Customer Service

I've never had to deal with Callaway service, but I have heard they are good.

Wow. I just received these woods and they are already my favorite clubs in my bag. I hook the ball really bad but these clubs didnt seem to mind at all. Every shot was straight. The 3 wood allowed me to hit it as hard or as soft as I wanted and was consistently around 260-270 with the 5 wood at 220-245. Without a doubt these woods have given me the ability to break under par and I am seriously telling everyone, if you dont have these you are missing out.

Customer Service

Callaway is the best CS around.

Model Reviewed: Steelhead III 15* Wood/firm Stock Shaft

Returned a Orlimar II 15* after third round of golf, its a solid club in the fairway. But one shot on the semi-rough it poped up and flied ~80 yards. This could be my bad swing after all. But decided to switch to a thicker face Steelhead III and found it more forgiving. Distance wise both clubs have similar carry. Steelhead digs deeper in your wallet though.

Customer Service

Excellent service from the local shop, they gave you total store credit within 90 days of purchase. Can't beat the price over the internet, but they offer outstanding return policy.

I've spent the summer working on my game and decided that I wanted to upgrade my woods from the "starter" set I had (Dunlop Equation). After reading reviews here, I selected the SteelheadIIIs. I've noticed an immediate improvement! My hugh slice has gone away, to the point that I have to be careful not to draw the ball. Very pleased.

Customer Service

I selected Dick's because I could get gift certificates for it through credit card rewards. The website and email service was perfect, and the clubs arrived very fast, and well packaged. Also, they had free shipping on these items. Very pleased. Price was $249 each, which is list.

Model Reviewed: Steelhead III 5 Wood

I have the Callaway Steelhead III 5 Wood with a steel shaft. I had to get it reshafted because the factory steel was very inconsistant. I put stiff True Temper shaft in it. The club has a natural tendency to hook. I would not recommend this club to anyone who play a draw.

I bought this club today and i played right away. The first time i hit the ball with this club, the ball went soaring to the 250 yard marker. THIS IS ONLY A 3 WOOD!! and im only 14! for me thats a long shot! So with roll i got 260 about. This club has great feel and a nice sound to it. Although the face may setup to a draw it doesnt affect you if your a straight hitter. I strongly reccomend this club to anyone who desires a nice ball trajectory, distance and good roll.

Let me start out by saying that I do like these fairway woods, but..... I'm a fairly strong ball striker and today I noticed that I had an odd flight on my 3 wood hits. I looked at the club face and the face had dented in. Pulled out the 5 and the same thing (except not as bad). I play the Precept U-Tri Tour ball. This ball is not hard at all, about the same as the Pro V1 (see my review of the Precept U-Tri Tour). If anyone else has heard of this type of problem, email me and let me know. I'm going to take them back to Edwin Watts and see if they will exchange them and send them back to Callaway, or am I going to have to. Other than that, these clubs are easy to hit, and are not too deep nor too shallow. When struck they fly hot. I like the Constant Weight Steel Shaft they use. If I try to jump on it, it stays with me, instead of lagging back, and If I try to smooth one, It allows me.

Model Reviewed: Steelhead III 3 wood steel shaft

I am a TM fan at heart but I always wanted to try a Callaway fairway wood. I traded my 975 16.5 degree Titleist for the Steelhead III and thought I was gonna love it at first. But after a few months with it, I realize it is too hook faced for a straight ball hitter or hooker. I hit a TM 300 S90 9.5 driver that I love, but when I put my same swing on the Steelhead, look out left. If you slice the crap out of your woods, this is probably the club for you, but if your bad habits include pulls and snap hooks, forget this club. I may just need a stronger shaft, but I may end up getting a new TM 3 wood. Anyone have any recommendations on shafts for my Steelhead III please let me know.

Customer Service

Never spoke with them.

Awesome club. Hit it high with a boring trajectory. Able to work it both ways when called upon as well.
