An excellent utility club that perfectly replaces my 3-iron on courses where I want a higher trajectory and soft landing on the green. Golfing buddies tease me when they see the club but not when I hit it straight and high off the tee on longer par 3s. Great 190-210 yard club. Excellent from medium rough. Very forgiving off the fairway. Mis-hits produce 80-90 % of distance as compared to sweetspot. Nice club to have if you need to get over trees and such on an approach to a green because of the high trajectory. Finish is, well, Callaway, beautiful. Much nicer headcover than the original steelheads (what is up with that hot pan handle headcover anyway!!!). As all Callaway products, I think it is moderately pricey.

Customer Service

Callaway, along with Ping are tops in customer service. Very responsive to customer needs.

Absolutely love my ERC 7 wood with stock firm flex shaft. Very solid club. I average about 180-190 with the 7 wood. Can't get this distance with my long irons yet. I also hit this club straighter than anything else in my bag. There are days where I have problems with other clubs but I'll hit this 7 wood straight. Great sound at impact with the titanium head. Easy to hit off the fairway with not much loss in distance.

I found the ERC to be a great club with unmatchable distances when you hit it on the screws.Unfortunately,I rarely do that and this club is very unforgiving on off center hits.

Wow!! This club is by far the easist to hit 3 wood I have ever owned and I have owned quite a few. Put it in a divot--boom! Off the fairway--Long. Off bare lies--A cinch. I had this club re-shafted with a graffaloy pro lite (makes all the difference with Callaway's inferior shafts). This club is very solid. Very forgiving.

One of the best 3 woods I've ever owned or tried.I really like the feel of the titanium head. The ball explodes off the face with a very nice launch angle. It gives you that grip it and rip it feeling.Try it out.You won't be disappointed.

Customer Service

Nice people to deal with.A few years back I bought a Callaway fairway wood that didn't come with a head cover.I contacted Callaway to see if I could purchase a head cover from them.A week later a head cover arrived at my house no charge.

Model Reviewed: ERC II 3 woods

After hitting the ERC II driver, got to have the 3 woods. they are so easy to hit, the face are big and more square than the VFT. Just like a baby Driver. I'm a beginner and alway scare of the woods, either tee off with Driver or Irons and Irons off the the fairway. My old woods is Mizuno Bluerage 3 and 5 and I'm alway slice them off the tee or fairway, but with the Erc now i am hitting off the fairway with confident, but still have problem off the tee(my Fault)still working on it. got to go to trade in my 3 and 5 woods Mizuno Bluerage for pick up a 5 woods. got to try it to belived it. Thanks Callaway for bringing me the confident to reach for the fairway shot with your products.

Nice fairway woods. I love the 7 wood and rarely use the 3 wood off the fairway. I use the 3 wood off the tee when I have 230 yards or less to work with. I had the driver, but when it was decided it will remain non-conforming, I replaced it with a Titleist 975L-FE and I love it. I like the Callaway fairway woods as the heads are big enough to instill confidence. I currently carry the ERC II 3 and 7 wood and the VFT 9 wood. They don't make an ERC 9 wood. I hit the VFT 9 wood 175-190, the ERC 7 wood 180-200. The Ping Tec fairway woods and the Orlimar Hip Steels are the only other fairway woods I'd consider, but I don't see a need to change from the Callaways.

Model Reviewed: ERC 3 metal Regular flex

Bought this club along with the driver. I love both clubs immensely. The fairway metal is a cinch to use - just get a nice smooth swing and the results are really excellent - I use the same swing as I use for my 3 iron and the result is straight to a slight draw 210yds+ Headcover is really good quality too. Great value - great club.

This club has transformed my game. I could never keep a fairway wood in play off the fairway unless it was a 5 wood or higher loft. I'm finally reaching par 5's in two...sometimes. This club is just a little shorter than my 975 driver and has become my safety blanket. Don't believe those that say you can't swing hard with this baby. You can, it's just that you don't have to. This club is not the most workable, but if I'm struggling with my driver the last thing I need is a club that puts sidespin on the ball. Heel hits don't feel too nice and have a distinctive sound. Trajectory is beautiful and distance is longer than average for sure. I average 360-270 with my driver and 250-260 with this club.

ERC 3+ with System 50 Firm shaft. Took the club for a test run in the driving booth. I liked the feel right from the start. After 3 rounds, I have retired my TM 320 driver. No problem putting the ball out to 260 down the middle. The club and frim shaft fits my 95 mph swing quite well. No need to lean on shots to get them to go far. If you are a fan of callaway products, you will like the erc line. I'm on my way to buy the 5 wood. I can't say enough good things about this club.
