WOW!!!!!!

I just purchased the new Ben Hogan CFT Ti Hybrid 2h (19*) with the Crossfire stiff shaft and took it to the course right away for a test drive. All I can say is WOW!!!! This club is absolutely awsome! From the rough, from the fairway, it just does not matter, the balls comes off the face hot with a mid-hi trajectory and goes a mile straight as an arrow! The club is pleasing to the eye and easy to align. Any good swing will get the ball up in the air almost effortlessly.

I would recommend this club to everybody regardless of your handicap. I am actually thinking of going back and picking up a 1h and a 3h to replace my current hybrids.

Customer Service

Ben Hogan has excellent customer service. I have not used it for this club, but I had a club that the ferrule was coming loose, call Hogan, the responded immediately with directions on what I needed to do, and I received a replacement through my local Edwin Watts Golf store within 2 days. GReat Service!!

Have a Launcher 460 comp. and a Launcher 15degree 3metal, so I took my 5metal and my 3iron out of the bag and put the CFT 3h in. I tested many hybrids but this one was the best. Easy to hit and easy to work, and for the advanced golfer you can get different ball flights out of this club bye closing the face down a bit you get a strong boring ball flight, but you can hit the high boring soft landing shot with a little steeper and stronger ascending blow. This is truly a great club, one you'll be happy with for a long time.

I have a factory graphite "#4" shaft... In "Hogan speak", that's stiff as far as I know. I don't carry anything over a 4 iron, so I decided to get one of these to hit something between 190 and 205. This club has one of the best "moment of contact" sensations ever. The sound is muted, yet percussive and the feel, when well hit, lets me know I don't even need to look at my shot. Did I mention it's very workable? If you can "work" a 6 or 7 iron, you can shape this 200 yard club. These are not "hot" in the market place and can be found for a reasonable price

Like some in this forum, I still play to a single digit HC, but at 47 and with disc problems, I really had a hard time jumping on my long irons to get the results I used to get. I finally put my ego in the bag and tested several hybrids. This is by far the best of the best. Solid feeling and so easy to get the ball up from any lie. You can also "work" the ball in either direction. I hit the Cobra (which had a nasty "ting" sound to it that I couldn't get past) and the Taylor Rescue (too damn ugly with all that offset) and then I hit the Hogan. Sounds and feels like an iron coming off the face and you feel very comfortable at address with it. I went with the graphite shaft even though I play steel shafted irons. The torque seems tight enough even if I jump on it that I don't spray it, and I get the benefit of an even softer feel, and maybe a few more yards. This is a wonderful club.

Wasn't sure if a hybrid was going to be my cup of tea, but what a pleasant surprise the Hogan CFT was. Any doubts were erased the first time I swung this club. Extremely workable, very forgiving with predictable distances and a high, boring ball flight. It's amazing to watch a ball land on the green like a butterfly with sore feet from between 200 and 220 yards out, but that's exactly what this club allows me to do. I can't imagine making a better choice.

Model Reviewed: Ben Hogan Hybrid CFT 3H

I bought this club to replace a Nike CPR 21-degree club (see my review in "Fairway Woods-Nike"). The Hogan club just works better for me. It's actually going to take me some time to stop being so surprised at how beautiful the ball flight is with this club. It seems effortless to hit well. I'm not a super-long hitter (240 driver, 170 5-iron) but this club goes either 200, 210, or 220 off the tee. It seems to dial itself in. Shots off the fairway are pure and straight. The only problem I have now is that I have a gap between my 4-iron and this club. Looks like there's a Hogan CFT Hybrid 4 in my future! Bottom line - buy the 3H and lose your 3-iron.

After all the hoopla about hybrids, I swallowed my pride and purchase a couple. NO REGRETS. Tried them all and decided on Ben Hogan with a regular steel shaft. It's true they are easier to hit then your 2,3,or 4iron and very accurate to.

Well I liked the #3 so I thought well lets go all the way.I have always had problems hitting #3 woods but could I have #1 thru #4 hybrid and get by without a #3 wood and only use a driver-yes -yes Even the #1 is easy to hit and the #4 well just think abot it and its in the air. For high handicappers this is the hybrid set.now I admit I had trouble with the extra large head-somewhat-but after hitting them I love them!

I never have laiked the looks much of the new hybrids but with all the talk I thought maybe I should try one.I use Hogan CFT's so I bought the Hybrid 3 with graphite #3 shaft. I can hit my 3 iron as normal but most shots are not clean hits so distance varies.I can tell you that this Hogan hybrid is much easier to hit and seems to have a large sweetspot. Its very forgiving and for a hybrid is not that bad looking.I guess I have to cast my vote for this club for mid to high handicappers.

Yesterday I had the good fortune of being at golf manufacturer demo. All the major equipment companies were there. With all the talk about hybrids I purchased a Cobra Baffler 4h, tried it out on the range brought it back and got the Callaway 4h heavenwood. Hit it at the range and noticed I was pushing the ball out to the left (I'm left handed). Played 1 round with it and hit 3 pushed shots. Yesterday I tried every hybrid on the market-I think- Taylor Made mid rescue, Genex,Mizuno, Callaway and Cobra. I was most satisfied with the Ben Hogan CFT. After experimenting for a few hours, I opted for the Hogan CFT with the steel shaft. Ball flight and distance were excellent
