ben hogan big ben c455 fairway woods
after I hit one of my buddies ben hogan c455 5 wood I fell in love with it. A few weeks later I went to golf galaxy and bought a 19 degree 5 wood and a 13 degree 3 wood for $129 each. These clubs look beautiful at adress and are very pleasing to my eye. They fell like butter to hit and the ball just explodes off the face. These clubs are also very forgiving. A miss off the heel or toe loses very little distance to a center hit. Overall these are excellent clubs for any skill level Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: taylormade v-steel, orlimar trimetal |

Ben Hogan C455 5 Wood Stiff
I just purchased this 5 wood and I'm really excited about it. It is going to replace a Taylormade Rescue 16* with aldila nv stiff shaft. I bought the rescue because of a recomendation from the pro shop, but found out after purchase I can't move the ball right with the rescue. I was primarily hitting low draws. I didn't like that I couldn;t hit it high nor could I hit it left to right. I benched the rescue and purchased the Hogan 5 wood. I have the driver which is a great stick, and I credit it with cutting 3-5 shots off my avarage score (no really). I picked up yards with accuracy, I am more consistant and confident. Before buying the driver my low round was an 83, 4 months after purchase my low round is a 76, and I play below my previous best score with consitancy. So the Rescue needed replacement after struggling to hit anything but the straight or draw shot(and some hooks). I went to hogan first after my experience with the driver, and I put it straight into the bag shortly after it arrived. Cedar Creek is a short tight muni in San Antonio hill coutry. The front side holes aren't very long, but a missed fairway is a lost ball. I had been playing a 3 wood fade off tees there, but now I am able to play a straight 5 wood on most of the tee shots and I don't run into trouble whether I miss right or left. I have played 3 rounds without having a range session, and I'm very happy with my purchase. The ball flight is penatrating and I am able to hit any shot I want, left, right, high low, straight and long. It fills the gap I was looking for, and gives me convidence both on the tee box of short par 4's or from the fairway lie into par 5's. I always recommend you demo if you can, but this club is good looking and as pleasing as any purchase I've made recently-so I believe it would be a good investment for you too. Good luck with your game. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Mizuno MP-001 3 wood (in bag), Nike Ignite 3 |

This is perhaps the best fairway wood on the market compared to the taylormade v-steel and R7 (they are both exactly the same). Ben Hogan has always been for quality, and they have outdone all other competitors with this club. It is hard to his, so if you have trouble striking the ball, you will lose distace. When struck purely, the ball has the correct amount of spin, height, and distance. The feel of this club is amazing. My only complaint is the shaft, whis is comparable to a limp noodle. Great club none the less, I would recommend it to any good player. Ben Hogan C455 #5 Wood Regular NV shaft
Tested Nike T60, Ping G2, Callaway, TM, etc. Finally selected BH for its feel, accuracy, ease of handling. I was surprised how easy this club kicks the ball out from fairway/rough!! A smooth tempo is all that is required - the ball will just go straight. This is really an excellent club. I consider it a good investment for its steady and reliable performance. Quite unfortunate that most golfers are going for expansive/high end models and giving BH a miss. BH should arrange more demo days in Asia. Customer Service Never used. Very happy with the product. Fairway 5 Wood Stiff Shaft
I would try this club out for yourself at a stoer with a simulator... Just picked this out for Christmas - I compared almost a dozen clubs (TM, Callaway, MacGregor, etc) and this was the one for me. I hit this club 275 yards on the simulator CONSISTENTLY, with a few passing 300. I do have about 115 mph clubhead speed, but it felt like this club shot the ball out like a canon. I will have to wait to try it on the course. I will say, compared to the other models I tried, this felt like the best club, distance not even considered. I do not fully believe the simulators, but you can still get a good feel for the club. I say try this out - it's on closeout at a lot of stores and worth the $109 during fall clearance. C455 3 & 7 wood
I played Hogan irons for some time now-ApexII, Apex Plus and Apex FTX. I purchase the C-S3 driver, C455 3 and 7 woods at the same time. I'm happy with the driver but recently sold the 3 and 7 on ebay. Both had the Aldila V70 stiff shafts. The 7 was considerably shorter then my Callaway Steelhead, TM Vsteel and Hogan 3 CFT. It was comparable in distance to my 5 iron. The 3 wood likewise was shorter then my other 3 wood plus 7-8 out of 10 shots went left or sliced which is unusual for me with a 3 wood. I was suprised because my Hogan irons and the C-S3 driver are great clubs. ben hogan C455 regular flex 3 wood
I had a tee time on day and needed a 3 wood within a few hours, I headed down to a place called riverside i think and this club really caught my eye and the price was sweet too. I am only 16 so im not into gettin the top of the line cause i cant afford it but this club is definatley sweet. At this place they did not have a simulator so i figured a stiff shaft would be good enough, Luckily i didint have enough on me at the time cause i had the wrong card because at golf town the regulat flex was alot bettter, i averaged around the same with about 230 yards with both regular and stiff flex but i was way more accurate with da regular flex, its aweosme off the tee too. Ben Hogan C455 3 wood
I bought this wood as I love all of the Hogan stuff. Like all Hogan clubs, very good to look at and gives a feeling of confidence when standing over a shot. Excellent off either tee or fairway and the distance is also excellent with a great mid range ball flight. The Aldila shaft is also great and provides plenty of control. Overall, I could not be happier with this club. Similar Products Used: Srixon XXiO 4 wood Taylor Made V Steel |

Ben Hogan C455 15*
I just bought the Ben Hogan C455 15* 3 wood with an Aldila NV 70 gram regular flex shaft. My swing speed is just over 100 mph but I thought I'd be able to get a little bit more consistency and distance out of a regular flex shaft and I was right. I hit this club 250-260 off the tee and I can't expect anymore out of a 3 wood for distance. This club is very pleasing to look at at address which will give any calibur golfer more confidence when addressing the ball. The feeling of this club is amazing, when you hit the ball it feels like nothing and it just explodes off the clubface. To sum it up best 3 wood i've had to date and will buy 5 wood soon. This club was a steal. I happened to come across this at a golf store and tried it out. Excellent distance, control, and great of the turf. The Aldila NV shafts are the best made to date. This club will probably get overlooked by people looking for Titleist or Cleveland, but the Carpenter Steel face in this club is hot. Very pleased with this club and it has stayed in the bag, and will remain for a while. Customer Service None Similar Products Used: Titleist, Callaway, Cleveland |
