Model Reviewed: Adams Redline 15* fairway metal

Tremendous club. I'm a better fairway metal player than an iron player lately, and this one is a better club than the Cobras, Tour Edge Any Lie (which while very much unknown, was a STUD of a fairway wood), and any of the Callys I've hit (admittedly, haven't tried the newest BBertha FWoods). This is a versatile club, too....as 3 metals go, pretty easy to hit from the downhill, uphill, sidehill lies. Yesterday, after an over the top glancing pull off the tee, I had 195 to the center of the green, from a bare, severe downhill lie in the rough, w/ the green back UP the hill at least 2 clubs worth, and into about a 15 mph hour wind. I first thought to just wedge it up the hill and try to get up and down from about 80 yards or so...but it was late in a round that I was gonna shoot 83 anyway, so what the heck, might as well practice trouble shots, right? Grabbed the Redline, set my wrists early in the backswing, high hands, and just pulled through, staying down through the shot. Dead solid perfect...had a 6 footer for birdie (missed, of course), but made a tap in par from an impossible lie and shot situation on the course's toughest hole. Adams isn't a "sexy" name in golf, but they know how to make clubs that us less-than-supermen can utilize to hit effective golf shots.

Model Reviewed: Adams Redline 3 wood 15 Deg

I'm a relatively new golfer (6 months / 15 rounds), and like most high handicappers, have issues hitting woods off the deck. Deciding this golf thing was going to stick, i upgraded over some borrowed calloway clones to a "quality club" a Cobra SS 3 & 5 wood to help get the ball in the air. Not much luck, weren't very forgiving. I spotted the Adams Redline at my local golf shop and looked luring with it's wide sole and ended up purchasing one online for less than 100 bones. I finally got the nerve to pull it out on a par 5 and BANG got 220 on it off the deck( i drive about 270 with my Nike ignite) at a nice low trajectory. That wide sole gives the confidence that a un-centered hit will fly, and now I find it a go to club in my bag. I'm sure a low handicapper would have a different preference, as I hit my cobras (when on) about 10 yards farther, but a high handicapper needs just to get the ball up, and I'd reccomend this club to anyone fairly new to the game, especially for the price (I got mine for 95 at golfstockpile.com).

Got this club with a Grafalloy blue stiff shaft. Feel is good, trajectory sweet and long. Haven't tried the stock shaft. I actually bought it because of the Blue shaft. Sound is good. Cheap on E-Bay, but all stock shafts for the most part. I thought I'd support my local Golf shop this time. Still good at $115 new.

This club just plain works. I love Adams Tight Lies fairway woods, and use a TL Tour 5 wood and the regular TL 7 wood (a steal for <$50 these days) with good effect off the deck and the tee. I however, had a terrible time hitting the 3 wood without a wicked slice or atleast a push. The perimeter weighting on this wood, along with the Adams wide-bottom upside down face really helps making solid contact with a square face. I hit this one straight, and sometimes even with a little draw. A real weapon on longer par 5s, and when you top or mess up your tee shot on a par 4. Also a long but safe club for teeing off on narrow fairways. Pricey, but worth it. A remarkable club.

I purchased a redline 15deg. 3 wood and I am impressed. Very easy to hit off the deck and very forgiving. I also have a cleveland launcher 3 wood that I hit on occasion a little farther. All in all a good fairway wood equal to the launcher, tm 200.

I bought the redline expecting great results. It is very forgiving but did not perform consistantly. It goes for about $300 retail and I traded it in for a good price. What I perticularly did not like about it was that it scratched very easily. I was at the driving range and i found a large scratch on the sole of the club, this shocked me because I had not hit anything awkward. Making me wnder how well this was built.

I have both the 3 wood with Harmon CB65 Stiff Shaft and 5 wood with tx-90 steel stiff. I have tried them all and this is very clean off the deck. Try stiffer shafts than normal. I normally don't rate clubs but these are that good. Just ordered a 7 wood and I can play long irons. These clubs just give you absolute confidence.

Very easy to hit airborne, as long and straight as anything I've hit. Equal to the tm200, launcher and sonartec woods.

Did you ever have a go to club? I have never had a club that I could pull out and know that I was going to hit it down the pipe without fear of the woods or water. This is the very first club that I never miss. Tee it low and low and let it go, or off the deck, the club consistently provides a nice high draw trajectory. The head seems a little bit heavy so it squares really well at impact. Distance is very good with the max COR. I hit it consistently 230-240 which is plenty long for me. The old Calloway I hooked way too much. I wanted to like the Calloway but after 2 season's I just couldn't get rid of the hook when I went after the ball. My only beef is that it's going to cost me another $400 to get the matching 5 wood.
