Tour Edge Exotics Drivers

DESCRIPTION

Constructed from 15-3-3-3 Beta Titanium, this technology allows more weight to be placed in the sole for remarkable forgiveness and a perfect launch angle. Utilizing Combo-Brazing process, the elimination of welding results in a deeper, lower center of gravity (c.g.) for unprecedented performance and a smooth, velvety feel. The forged titanium face puts out a explosive power.

Straight and long. The ball wants to go straight even with less than perfect swings. Did I say straight? I normally have a left to right ball flight that this driver truly minimizes without being offset. I can only chalk it up to the gear effect aspect of this driver performing wonderfully while still adding distance. The ball seems to jump off the forged face. Believe me I have tried them all and nothing comes close to all the benefits of this driver. Get one and you will see what I mean...

Model Reviewed: Exotics 10.5 Stiff Driver

I was recently in the market to find a new driver, and replace my Cleveland Hibore Xl.
I demoed the Cleveland HiBore XLS, Ping G10, Taylormade Burner & Superquad, Titleist D1 & D2, as well as a few others.
When I was about to give up hope and just stick with my old driver, I stumbled across an exotics demo driver. It was a 10.5 with a Fuji reg flex shaft. I hit this club on the simulator, and was shocked how well it felt and performed.
I ordered it with a 10.5 stiff Fuji shaft, and I have never looked back! (Well, actually, I do look back every now and then to check on my playing partners that I just outdrove!) I've played with one friend for over 12 years, and could never outdrive him until I put this club into play!
It's extremely easy to hit, and will do all the work for you. No need to try and power this club. It responds best to just an 80% swing.
I liked it so much that I purchased the Exotics fairway wood as well.
These are my secret weapons.
Even though I hadn't heard much about this brand I was not surprised to find out that so many pro's (PGA, Nationwide, & LPGA) are using their products.
You won't be disappointed!

Amazing driver After about 4 games my distance had increased by about 40 -50 yards. Another 4 games and the accuracy followed.
The local club pro with just one hit managed to fly the 250yard marker on the range

Got my 1st TE Exotics on a whim off eBay for $145. It was 10.5 dgrs and after hitting it I liked the feel and the results but decided that a little more loft might be better; so I got a 12 dgr Exotics (head only, $45) off eBay and you can't wipe the smile off my face now. Great look, great sound, and very solid results. Because my home course is used by a local college team I play a lot with young, strong, players, and while my age keeps me from matching their distance, I play the same tees and am usually only 20 yds behind them, now that I have the Exotics. My only issue is that I wish the club had some sort of marking on the crown indicating the SWEET spot; although off center hits are not overly punished.

I have been, and still am, a strong advocate for the Golf Gear Tsunami LD 400, the best unknown driver out there, still. If my TE ever needs a rest, I will not hesitate to bring the old Tsunami out, it is a great club.

Purchased a 10.5* on ebay for only $125. Played with it 2 rounds so far and was outdriving the other players by 40-50 yards, and straight. Great feel, sound and looks good over the ball. Will stay in the bag for a long time.

Model Reviewed: Tour Edge Exotics 10.5 Aldila R-flex

It's 45F today so I took my next-to-new Tour Edge Exotics driver to the range for the first time. I hit both my current 2004 titanium BB Callaway (Blue ProLaunch R-flex) and the new Edge Exotics (Aldila NV R-flex). My first impression: very very good. I was impressed with the Aldila NV R-flex. I thought that the Prolaunch Blue is a good shaft, The Aldila NV Exotics shaft is as good even thought the diameter of the shaft is slightly smaller than that of ProLaunch Blue. I found that the ball flight with the Edge Exotics is a little bit higher and the ball dispersion is as good. I am glad that I do not have to change my swing for the same result. After hitting a large bucket (about 100 balls), I feel that I pick up at least 10-15 yds with the new Tour Edge Exotics, so I am happy with the results.

BTW, the club came with "Aldila NV Exotics" shaft. I emailed Tour Edge Exotics and they told me that wt.of Aldila NV Exotics is 65g vs 66g of the standard Aldila NV, and its torque is the same as that of standard Aldila NV... So, in comparison, Aldila NV Exotics shaft = standard Aldila NV shaft. I can't wait to be on the golf course to try my new Tour Edge Exotics. I have to give it highest rating now , and for $100, you can't go wrong

Customer Service

I hope that it's as good as Callaway which is very tought to beat.

Model Reviewed: Tour Edge Exotics 10.5 Aldila Rflex Shaft

I am a CaLLaway fan who shoot in the range of 87-92. My current driver is Callaway 2004 Titanium Big Bertha drive, with ProLaunch Blue Shaft which I like very much. I normally drive in the range of 200-220 yds and fairly straight. I've been thinking about getting the new Callaway FT-5 but it's still $300 even on ebay... After reading good report about the Tour Edge Exotics (unless you guys lie to all of us) I bid on ebay for an almost new Tour Edge Exotics 10.5 driver with Aldila R-flex shaft (made for Exotics)for $100 + $12 shipment.

Question: For those who has the Tour Edge Exotics driver with Aldila NV Exotics, designed for Tour Edge shaft: is this shaft different than the standard Aldila. I have not tried this club out yet, but i feel that my current Blue ProLaunch is a little bit stiffer than the Aldila NV Exotics shaft, considering both shafts are R-flex rated.

Hopefully I would get another 10-15 yds over my Callaway. If not, I will continue supporting Callaway product by buying the new Callaway FT-5

Have not used, but it's very tough to beat Callaway customer service

Model Reviewed: Tour Edge Exotics Driver

I've now taken my new Tour Edge Exotics driver (10.5, stock Fuji regular flex shaft) for two spins around the course. Holy Moly! First of all, the ball leaving the face sounds like a bullet hitting a titanium armored tank. TINK! Solid. It also seemed to have a moderate height piercing trajectory for me. It can be worked some-- I was able to draw it a bit, but it seems to want to do a gentle power fade for me on its own. Regardless, it is very stable and forgiving, and several drives had me looking about 20-30 yards beyond my normal spots. Even when I didn't hit it dead center, I wasn't punished drastically ... and good swing were rewarded with surprising roll (without trying to hit it hard) for a 40 degree December day on a damp course. My fingers are already twitching to grab this baby when I take a visit to some hot desert courses next Spring ... looking for some new drive PRs! For higher handicappers, this driver may also allow you to take an 80% swing, eliminating the swing flaws that come with trying to hammer a drive, and STILL get a decent result. While expensive, the original version is now cheaper on eBay. While the Exotics driver can't cook breakfast, wash the car or get you on the Champions tour if your current handicap is 80 ... it may very well offer the best swing off the tee you've ever experienced. Swinging it is like getting to eat your favorite dessert every day.

Wow - what a Driver. Wasn't too impressed with it in the pro shop hooked up to the simluator, but on the course this thing was smoking!
I usually hit my Ben Hogan CS-3 (best value for money Driver on the market imo) about 230 meters. With the exotics, I get this easily on mis-hits, and achieved 260 meters into the wind when I finally managed a proper connection. Brilliant role as well!
I bought the 9 degree stiff Aldila shaft (swing speed is about 105 mph)

Model Reviewed: Exotics 9 deg. NV Stiff

Been on a long search for the best driver for over 2 years. Have narrowed it down to the Callaway FT-5 9.5 tour and the Exotics. After playing the Callaway for the first 2 months of the year, I switched to the Exotics. The distance is very comparable, no more than 5 yards difference between the 2. They both have a similar trajectory, but the Exotics brought my spin down and I am now getting some roll. I have also found the sound, feel, and workability better with the Exotics. Callaway was always fairly straight or with a slight fade. The Exotics loves to go straight, but is easy to work a relaxed draw. Very consistant Distance and trajectory. Always had trouble with too much spin, and with this driver I am actually getting some roll.
Got this one for over $300 less than the Callaway as a demo, looked like brand new.

Customer Service

Excellent. Had the head snap off with the fujikura shaft and I got a new driver back with in 4 days of sending the shaft and head cover back. The even change the shaft to the NV to help bring the trajectory down. Awesome service and easy to deal with.
