Titleist 983K Titanium Drivers

Titleist 983K Titanium Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The 983K driver features a 365cc full pear profile. The larger head size compared to the 983E, produces a moderate launch angle and higher moment of inertia for playability. The slightly heel-biased internal weighting and deeper CG produce a moderate spin rate and an easy-to-square face. The result is a highly playable driver with an ideal initial trajectory, and long downrange flight.

I'm surprised!!! at first I was not sure whether the Titleist would suit me, once I have tried the 983K with Aldila stiff shaft. I didn't like it.

Today morning I went to my local american golf discount store. The pro showed me this 983K 10.5 degree with Fujikura 757 shaft, because I just can't swing the 460cc headed drivers. Then he took me to the hitting simulator, the stats were amazing after he reminded me of one fundamental technique.

On the simulator the carry distance was 264 and total distance was 282 yards, with a slight draw ball flight. That for me is a beauty.

I will update this review again as soon as I get to try it on the course next week.

If you're considering to buy one of these, think about the shaft that you're getting. It does make a lot of difference.

I would recommend Fujikura 757, or the Mitsubishi Rayon. It's the two top shafts.

To this day still the best looking and feeling driver i have hit, i never got tired of rocketing one of the club face. Distance wise just wasnt cutting it anymore and the aldila shaft was way to whippy for my liking, not very forgiving either so above 18 handicaps stay away.

I love this driver. It is the most forgiving driver I have hit. The distance is comparable to any other driver too. Mis-hit shots still go straight and long. I would highly recommend this club.

This is the best driver i have ever hit. The accuracy this driver has gives me the confidence to take more aggressive swings and hit longer and straighter drives. I would recommend this club to any player that is looking to one up his buddies on the course.

I am a currently a 15 year-old 14 handicapper who has recently been struggling to keep up with my handicap, mainly due to eratic driving. I have just been out for my first round using this 983k and i have found it to be a very, very nice club. Today i shot my best ever round, 71. Admittedly this was not purely because of this drver but also a great improvement in the rest of m game also, however i have no doubt that this club club played a largerole in helping me on m way to this number. I have found it to be a very accurate as well as very long diver (in comparison to my old TM r5 dual) that also has a very surprisingly (for a Titleist) forgiving face, which allowed the ball to carry nearly as far as a good strike and still remain in the right direction. I recommend finding the right shaft to fit you and the right wieght as this really does make a difference. I think this club would suit anyone who can consistently shoot around 85-87 to players who are able to shoot low 70s. It's a great all-rounder, although maybe a bit expensive for some.

This is a great driver! Great looking too! I have the Grafalloy Pro Lite shaft (maroon) and am very happy with the results this club produces...As with any new club I struggled with it initially but over time found myself being able to work the shots much better than my older driver and hit the fairway more consistently! Titleist is the Rolls Royce of golf clubs and now I know why! This driver is outright sexy and a joy to hit! It makes the game much more enjoyable for me!

I bought one of these babies off Ebay for $75 with the Speeder shaft in stiff. Having played most of the good 460cc drivers on the market, I tossed this in the bag with low expectations.

It will now be staying in the bag. Long, easy to work with a nice flight, I hit more fairways with it than I have in awhile. It may not be the longest, and I have to remember to tee down, but this is so accurate I have bought a second.

Felt I had to say something about this driver. I'm not one for getting excited about my equipment, but when I hit this one on the range the ball came of the face with no sound at all and just flew.

I have been trying to find a driver for a while now which I can shape both ways and regain the 30 yards I lost when I traded in my TM R580XD. The Titleist was amazing. The range I used it on is 220 yards and I was carrying that, the fairway beyond and landing in the rough.

Understandibly I went and paid for it and stuck it in my bag. The club itself is 10.5 degrees and has a standard S flex shaft.

I got it out onto the course last night for a trial run and it was great. High fades and draws on command. I also got back the 30 yards and then some. Over the last few holes I nailed drives of 310 yards and 340 (down hill)!!

Better by far than the R5 Dual I have been using.
