It hits the ball really high. I usually use 9-10.5 degrees lofts in drivers, with this one I had to hit a 7.5 degree loft to keep it from going into the stratosphere. I did not like the feel, it is somewhat reminiscent of the new Ping and Callaway VFT (very hollow). The 975D was absolute perfection: solid, easy to hit (in spite of what you heard), this one feels ordinary, lost is the 975D character. I played with this club yesterday and I was very impressed. I will order one of these this week sometime. It has everything that the 975d has but is more forgiving, straighter, and easier for me to draw. It is easier to hit longer as well. The 975d, I felt, requires you to really step on it to get big distance. The J seems to achieve the distance easier. I could draw this club much easier than my D of the past. It is very confidence inspiring as well. I am usually a loose cannon with my drivers. I have played them all. This one maybe due to the swingweight or whatever hit the ball very straight and long all day long for me. I have been playing the 975D for a couple of years and the 975J is much more forgiving and does give you 10-15 more yards on perfect hits. This is the best driver I have ever hit! Similar Products Used: None |

EXCELLENT driver! At least 15 yards longer than the 975D. Just one MINOR thing, though: You MUST, I repeat MUST go DOWN one degree in loft (for me: 8.5D to 7.5J), otherwise you will hit it WAAAAAAAAAY too high, and get ZERO roll!!! Customer Service Titleist is AWESOME, and they stand by their products 110%!!! Similar Products Used: 975D, TM series, VFT, Ping, Mizuno (T-zoid and 300S), Wilson Deep Red, etc. |

975j ei-70 stiff shaft
The club received their shipment on Friday and I tried all the different shaft/loft combo's. Went from hitting a fade/slice to hitting slight draw. Misses are not as extreme. Played front nine with Callaway GBB and back with 975j - unbelievable difference in accuracy. I believe that the accuracy is where you will see the difference in length. Estimate to have gained 10-15 yards in length in addition to accuracy. Longest drive was 325. Nice to hit wedge into 435 yd par 4. Similar Products Used: TM 300, CALLAWAY GBB, PING |

I TRADED MY CALLAWAY VFT AND A FEW WEDGES FOR THIS CLUB AND I COULDN'T BE MORE SATISFIED! IT HAS A ROCK SOLID FEEL AT IMPACT AND THE CLUB IS MUCH MUCH MORE FORGIVING THAN THE "D". TOE HITS ARE NOT PENALIZED LIKE THEY ARE WITH THE "VFT" OR THE "D", AND CENTER HITS ARE, REWARDED WITH AN EXTRA 10 TO 15 YARDS. THE SOUND OF THE CLUB AT IMPACT DOES REMIND ME OF THE OLD CALLAWAY BIGGEST BIG BERTHA BUT PERFORMANCE OF THIS CLUB OUTPERFORMS "ANYTHING" CALLAWAY HAS PUT TOGETHER! UNLIKE OTHERS WHO REVIEWED THIS CLUB, I FOUND IT VERY WORKABLE... IT WAS VERY EASY TO TURN OVER AND MY NORMAL BALL FLIGHT IS A FADE. SO IF ANY ONE OUT THERE IS SEARCHING FOR A NEW DRIVER YOU WOULD NOT GO WRONG WITH THIS CLUB... IT'S GOT A BEAUTIFUL TRADITIONAL LOOK, IT'S FORGIVING, IT'S LONG, IT'S WORKABLE, AND IT IS COMPETATIVELY PRICED! WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED! I PERSONALLY HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS CLUB! BTW, I WOULD OPT FOR THE GRAFALLOY SHAFT... IT'S NOT AS SQUIRLY AS THE STOCK VERSION... Similar Products Used: 975D, VFT, PING TISI, TAYLORMADE 320 |

Titleist 975J w/ E-I 70 S
I have been looking for a new driver for some time. I purchased the TM 360 8.5 with a Grafalloy shaft and had them tape it up at the Golf Shop in case I didn't like it. I was hitting it fairly good until I tried my friend's new Titleist 975J 8.5. Man, the difference in yardage was 10-15 yards and much straighter than the TM 360. I will go today and order the 975J 8.5 with the Grafalloy shaft. This is the best driver I have tried by far. I went from shooting 90 s to low 80 s and from 6 irons to 8 s on par 4s.
