TaylorMade XR-03 Ti Drivers

TaylorMade XR-03 Ti Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The XR-03 Ti Driver features a 410cc clubhead. A product of Powerframe Technology, it''s made from high-strength SP-700® titanium with rolled face plate construction to produce a stiffer frame with a thinner, cold-formed face for the highest COR we''ve ever engineered. The improved CAD-optimized head structure offers higher moment of inertia to maintain ball velocity on off-centre hits. Its computer-optimized CG location improves launch conditions for players of average swing speeds by creating a higher launch angle with less ball spin to realize maximum distance and control. An internal weight pad technology enhances sound and solid feel for the desired feedback preferred by most players.

I HAVE A 320 Ti ,tried out the XR03 and I hit it exactly the same distance as my 320. It did seem to hit the ball solid on every shot but this could be down to its forgiving nature. I certainlt do not see myself giving €300 plus my driver for a club that offers nothing extra.

This driver lives up to the raving reviews. Very forgiving and very long (added 25 yards compared to my Mizuno driver). Sound is rather muffled which is nice (no ERC kind of noise). Stock shaft (S-90) works great for me with good balance between flex, torque and stability even when swinging hard. However, the shaft comes standard in 46" length but seems shorter due to the size of the head. Had it shortened an inch and improved accuracy as a result. Lost a bit of length but this driver is long enough already and this game is easier from the fairway. Highly recommended. Remember to buy the extra-long tees – the sweetspot seems to be located slightly above the middle of the face.

Read all the hype surrounding this new driver and tested the s90 9.5deg, what a club !. Just finished my first round with the tape still on, only missed 1 fairway from 14, gained 15 yds on my ERC2 and for the first time carried the green on an uphill 285 yd 4, this club is immense and ultra forgiving.

Whatever you have heard about how unbelievable this club is, forget it. IT IS BETTER!!! This is the longest and most unforgiving driver on the market. Nothing is close. Forget the ERC II, this is longer. This is easily 20 yards longer than any driver around, and very, very forgiving. It is currently not sold in the US. But if you can get your hands on one, grab it. I am not a long hitter, and I am hitting bombs with this thing. I am a relative begineer and I chopped 10 strokes off my score the first time I used this. It is beyond unbelievable. Balls tend to have a high trajectory with this club , so get a lower loft. If you have a 10 degree driver, you can hit a 9.5 with this very easily. Note, the clubface is so deep that you will need tees at least 3 1/8". This club is certainly expensive, but if you can afford it-Bombs away!!!
