This driver is huge. No, not driving huge, head huge. It looks like a dinner plate squared up to the ball. You have to tee the ball up like three inches just to hit it in the center. The face is also huge, but very round. This makes it extremely hard to work the ball. On the rare times I caught it in the middle, it would to pretty far, but like i said, you can't work the dang thing. Consider the normal R9 if you want adjustability in a driver. I wouldn't reccomend this one to anyone. Back to my Titleist 975D. Customer Service didn't have to Similar Products Used: my old Titleist. |

It took me a very long time to adjust the club to my liking, but once I found the setting that fit my game the club worked just as advertised. After multiple outings to the driving range I was still hitting the ball far shorter than I had been previously with my Taylormade r580xd. I subsequently closed the face alot and tweaked my swing slightly, and voila. Straight and long virtually every time. Do not give up on this club, once you find the right face angle for you its one of the best drivers around. Customer Service None Similar Products Used: R9, Cleveland Monster Hibore |

i used too slice about 60 yds off fairway...then i bought a taylor made draw. my slice disappered over night. but after 2 yrs with the same driver i decided too give the tm suprrfast2.0 a shot...BIG MISTAKE not only did my slice come back with raging avengience but i couldnt even hit 1 fairway n 6 rounds. then after throwing that club n a pond on 16 i went to dicks and bought the R9 460 9.5 stiff shaft. i adjusted it to the L position and BANG!!! 300 yds on average straight down the pipe

Love the club, very straight boring flight in the N position. Head and 60 gram shaft combo make for a nice weight distribution which helps with Tempo. Had a Burner superfast for a season and was very inaccurate with it. I think the extra length and 40 gram shaft combo was to light and flexi and disrupted my tempo. Overall I love the R9 460 it is very forgiving and allows me to adjust the loft and lie angles for when I get into a swing funk. |

Best driver I have ever hit. I love the fact that you can adjust the face, which gave me more confidence to "swing away" without fear of slicing it into the woods. This has added about 40 yards to my drive - I used to average about 200 with my Yonex Nanospeed and King Cobra drivers, but with the R9 460, I've even hit one drive 256 on flat terrain without wind. Deadly accurate, very forgiving, and excellent feel. I used to lose at least a few balls to slices, but not anymore with this club. I even broke 90 my last 2 rounds played, with much of it thanks to the R9. Could have even broken 80 one round had I not flubbed my irons on 1 hole, this from someone who usually shot in the mid to upper 90s. I can thank this driver for shaving at least 5 strokes off per round, if not more. |

I have been playing the Taylormade Burner 10.5 reg. since it first came out and decided to buy the R9 460 a couple weeks ago. I am glad I did. It is a 9.5 degree regular shaft set to neutral. The distance is about the same as the Burner but I am slightly more consistant with a more penetrating ball flight. I would highly recommend this club. since i bought this club a few weeks ago i have knocked off about 10 strokes off every round. i went from hitting my driver about 250 and hitting about 5/14 fairways to 275 and 10/14 fairways. it is very forgiving and on off center hits i can tell i missed the center but its only 10 or so yards shorter and still straight. way better then any other driver i have ever hit. I bought this driver about 2 weeks ago and since then i dropped 10 shots. I had the burner'07 before and i had some great shots about 4/10 but since the r9 460 9/10 i seriously dropped 10 shots just because i get my drives down the center of the fairway and longest drive 322m ave. drive between 260 and 290m never less unless i tee it up a bit too high into the wind. Just got this the other day. I would have to say hands down the best driver on the market. I have it set up a upright, this is mainly since my bad shot is usually a fade or a block out to the right.
