Great Driver, only paid £115.00 for it and it has made a big difference to my game and confidence off the tee. Used to have a fad but now struggle to hit one. Getting more length than with my ERCII and far more accuracy. Highly recommended. |

About a month ago I got this on ebay. It came with a Fujikura Vista Pro 60 stiff shaft. At first I was hitting it pretty well but after the third round the ball kept slicing. Then I went to the range and after trying every possible weight combinations still could not get the right flight path. So because I got it for a couple of hundred less then the original price I decided to go with a Graphite Design YS6+ stiff shaft. When I brought it in the clubmaker he pointed out that it did not respond properly when checking the frequency. After 2 rounds with the new shaft I can definitely agree with Golf Magazines #1 pick in drivers this year. Right now I have the weights set in the neutral position and the ball is going as straight as an arrow, long and a nice trajectory. I also like the feel and sound of the ball coming off the clubhead. This driver is great. The price has also just come down (now $299 at most retailers) as TM is releasing a larger 425cc r7 this year. The club has a nice look that promotes confidence at address. It has a slightly heavy swing weight as compared to a lot of other drivers, but for me that allows me to keep a good tempo in my swingspeed. I hit a very strait ball with this club and the distance is good as well with the r7 HT. The Ping G5 is a little bit longer (I think that may be due to the extra length that is standard on the G5's shaft), but I couldn't hit it nearly as consistently straight. I demoed the r7 quad for 2 rounds and loved the club. I was going to buy that club, but I hit the HT a little further without sacrificing any control. I am able to work the ball quite well with this club. I have not adjusted the club for a draw or fade bias, but have adjusted the trajectory and the results were noticable. Make sure to try several shafts to find the one that suits you. That is probably more important than the club itself. With the right shaft I can't see how anyone would not love this club. the other day i tried a friends r7 ht and could not hit it more than 200 yards(i hit my cobra 440 sz about 280). i have a pretty repeatable swing, but this thing just didnt work for me. it may not work for me, but my friend hits it about 270 with a nice little draw so you might want to try it with different flexes and face angles. I was recently thrown into the market for a new driver the day after my old reliable Cleveland 330s life was ended by my daughters boyfriend. Suddenly I was searching for a new club that I could build some confidence in. I tested many drivers over the course of 2 weeks and kept coming back to the feel and peformance of the R7. (It's amazing how few club shafts that say they are stiff, are not.) I went ahead with the purchase of the R7, and I've played several rounds with it. This thing is a hammer! I drive straighter and longer than ever before. I've messed with the weights some, and did notice they do have an effect on the ball flight like they advertise. However I've yet to find anything wrong with straight. So I put them back in the neutral position. The weights are pretty gee whiz for a golf club, but they will not solve your swing flaws. I will say that miss hits are not as forgiving as they are with those toaster size clubs. However, you have more feel with this club. I would say this is a club better suited for a low handicap player. |

I have heard so much about this Driver I had to try it. I have a 10 handicap and hit the well. This is not a forgiving club. The ball went straight, but if you are off the sweet spot, which seemed small to me, I lost yardage. I have gone back to my Titleist 983K driver. I feel alot about nothing with this club and the dollars it costs. Similar Products Used: Titlest 983K and many other brands. |

Hey i first had the ben hogan C-S3 biggest piece of sh*t out there, i could his my 5 iron farther cause that driver skies it, Then i got this driver with the high neurtal setting, its amazing i love the low boarding ball flight cause it maximes roll and very easy to work, this club is not very forgivng though, i am only 16 but for my qualifying round to go to sask. provincials i was not driving it good, i was coming over the top and the ball was slicing bad! but after i slowed down and got my swing back i was playing a nice 5 yard fade shots. You pay out the ass for this club but it works, next on my list a taylormade hyrid! Customer Service non yet Similar Products Used: ben hogan, callaways, ping g2 |

I purchased the R7 HT 9.5* (set to neutral) with the TM stiff shaft and this club performs awesome. I've been really impressed with the forgiveness and they way this club will give you an easy draw (my normal ball flight). Distance and feel are excellent. I've had/hit Callaway 454, Ping G2, Ping Si3, Cleveland 460 COMP and this is as long as any, with good forgiveness. Highly recommended. Shop around and you'll finally find a decent deal on these clubs. Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: Callaway 454, Cleveland 460 COMP, Ping Si3 |

I've been playing this driver (9.5 degree with Aldila NV-65 S) for just over a month with a 2-2-6-10 setup (mid trajectory slight draw) and I've got to tell you - it is awesome! I upgraded from a 540XD and haven't looked back. Once you take the time to go to the range, get your trajectory right, and then, oh yeah, PRACTICE a bit with it, it is awesome! I am much more consistent and LONG with this driver. It definitely is more forgiving than any driver I have used and the ability to taylor the trajectory is simply amazing. It's done nothing but bring my score down by 7-12 strokes a round now. Bye bye 90's, hello 80's! Do you self a favor - get fitted in a shop and then buy on EBay for a steal.
