I have tried many drivers with many different shaft combinations and I have finally found the perfect match for me. I typically have a rather low ball flight. I also always play either a 8.5-9.5 lofted driver with either an stiff or an X-shaft. I was playing the 360 with good success but I noticed I was not getting the ball out there as far as I once did. (about 275) I was hitting the 360 about 255 or so. I noticed on the 360 that I kept hitting the ball on the middle to bottom side of the face. So when I looked around I noticed that the 320 was about 1/4" or so shorter in depth. (top to bottom) After comparing shafts, etc. I decided to go up to an 10.5* loft and play the stock shaft but have it cut to a 44" shaft. (X-flex) Let me tell you it was the best thing I have ever done. My trajectory is much better and I am carrying the ball about 265-75 again. The 320 is very forgiving off on non-center hits as well. My only complaint is that even when you nail the ball right on the screws it is sometimes hard to tell if you hit it well or not. Very nice driver overall. I would suggest checking out all the shaft options, we all do not swing alike, so check your ego at the door and go what works for you. Customer Service Good. Gave me many ideas for correct shafts, etc. Similar Products Used: TM 360, Cleveland Launcher, Titleist 975J, Nike, etc. |

Taylor Made 8.5 320 Ti Tour/Prolite 35 S
If you notice in my model description, the club is a tour model. The tour model has a deeper face (330) and higher center of gravity. That being said, I find the club a great combination of distance and accuraccy. I have a strong swing and routinely hit drives in the 300 range. This club still enables me to hit it long with less trips to the trees and rough. However, if your grip it and rip it type like I used to be, you can overswing this configuration as the club/shaft is so light, there doesn''t seem to be enough mass swing hard. I consider this a plus as this has forced me to "smooth out" my swing. Im a big believer in the shaft making the difference. the Prolite is an excellent shaft for moderate to high swing speeds. If I could change anything I might put a heavier shaft in with the same firm tip as the Prolite, like the EI-70. I tied the Fuji shaft and its just to soft resulting in 10 -15 yards less than the Prolite on comparable swings....I rate the club a 5 and My configuration selection a 4.5 Similar Products Used: TM Firsole 8.5, Crown Jewel/Fuji, McHenry, Launcher (Another excellent club) |

To the person who said the size of the club''''s lag was a cause of a slice, wow thats a new one. Whats next? Its not the club. I love this club. This club is so long. Its very very forgiving unlike what another person said. The stock fujukura s90 shaft is great too. |

I have the 320 Tour driver w/Graphite Design YS-6 Stiff shaft and it is the best driver I have used ever. Long off the tee (280+ yards) with about my 100-110 mph swing speed and very accurate with the low torque shaft. I had the 360Ti driver until I tried this one. This club has less spin that the 360Ti. I would highly recommend this driver w/this shaft for slow to medium swing tempos. I used this side by side with the Cobra 420 driver 2 weeks ago and this was longer by about 10-20 yards. Taylor Made 320
After being a Callaway apologist for MANY years, and having a bit of trouble with the VFT, I reluctantly, after reading reviews, purchased on the fly, a Taylor Made 320. I am a 7 handicap and have a really flat golf swing, sweep most of the larger clubs, and so much so I carry a 9 wood. I have always hit high lofted woods and was playing the Callaway VFT 11*. Reshafted that with a proforce 65, and the results were a bit better. But this Taylor Made is the real deal, for me anyway. I have never been long, but always been straight, and this fits the bill. Period Am probably 20 yards longer, and the club literally swings itself. For me, its a perfect match. Would recommend this club to anybody wanting a bit more accuracy, and would also recommend anybody with a swing speed under 100 MPH consider a driver loft of at least 10*.... once again, this fits the bill. Great club, great purchase Similar Products Used: Callaway VFT, Callaway HawkEye, Callaway GBB |

This is the best driver I have owned. If you can generate a consistantly smooth swing. Watch out, I was a slicer now I hit it very straigt sometimes with a slight draw. If you hit it right, it might not come down. I have hit the club over 280 and I was consistantly around 240-250 yds. Tempo, not fast swing speed is the key to this club, it does not matter if you swing slow or very fast it is about tempo. Best driver I have owned and I am afraid to tell you how many that has been. The value is very high since it is tough to put a price on hitting it straight down the middle. Similar Products Used: Mizuno Forged, Cleveland Quad Pro, Golfsmith Forged |

Taylor Made 320
Club did not live up to hype. I normally play with a Titleist 975J, 9.5 degrees with the Graffalloy pro lite stiff shaft. My driver is being repaired so the pro loaned me the Taylor Made 320, 9.5 w/ the 320, 9.5 with the same graffalloy shaft. My normal ball flight with the titleist (and all my clubs) is a slight draw. My normal distance is 250-260. While the distance was only a slight drop off with the Taylor Made (245-250), I had to fight to a right to left trajectory that I never see with any other club. It took much greater effort to hit a slight fade instead of a severe fade/slice. The smooth tempo required to control the Titleist had to give way to a much harder swing in order to keep the ball in the fairway. Not as forgiving as the advertising leads you to believe, either. 320 Ti Tour 8.5
Reshafted with a YS-7 (SX flex). Solid!!! Last summer I used a 975J (8.5 with ProLite S flex) - never got the "wow" feeling. Traded it in last fall for a TM 300; much better than the J, but wasn''t thrilled with the closed look at address. The 320 Tour is the best of the 300 and 320 rolled into one - deep face of the 300, size of the 320, and square face at address. I didnt like this club, because it didnt give me the distance I needed. The head slowed down the club and put a lot of lag to it making the ball slice. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Snake Eyes Beta Forged Titanium |

Yestoday i hit one of these beauties for the first time, and god was i impressed!I borrowed it from a female junior organiser i was playing with(so the club had a (whippy) regular shaft and i had to be v. carefull i didnt sky the bloody thing!!!!).I hit about half my normal swing speed(to compensate for regular shaft), and god did it fly!Very little effort resulted in a big drive (240 on an uphill 383yard par4-Stroke index 1) and a flight with slight draw! This put at least 10 yards on my biggest effort on this hole!I am getting one of these babies ASAP!They are awesome! So easy to hit!The regular shaft gave to high a ball flight for my liking(has anybody else noticed this???)-but thats why they make a stiff shaft option!!!2 hits with this club=2 superb straight drive, both around the 250 mark with little effort! I dont recomend the regular shaft to tiger wannebe juniors(like myself!) or people who occasionaly like to smash the cover off the ball! But i havnt tried (and brought!) the stiff yet! Try this club!!!!!!!!it will improve your game(I hit 2 out of 2 fairways!) The prices of these has dropped by about 30% to in the uk, they now cost less than £200 second hand! As it is legal in the UK, i might get an R320! Similar Products Used: most Callaways, fat shafts, titliest 975D (also good),most divers. |
