Great club!!! I bought the components and had Golfsmith prep them, and I epoxied it myself, substantially cheaper that way. Funky sound, but very nice feel and a great ball flight.

I assembled an 11 degree AirMet driver with a UST Ultra Light 48g R flex shaft along with a Win RF grip. What a wonderfull combination. Carry distance between 210 - 220 with overall distance around 240 - 250. Not only have I gained distance but the accuracy is outstanding. Honestly this is the first driver I have used with the consistancy we all require off the tee, the confidence I now have with a driver is very rewarding. The one issue I have is the sound it makes, it sounds like a beer can when I nail the sweet spot but who cares it's all about where the ball ends up not sound.

I bought this driver last year and it was my first try at a big volume (320cc) spring face model. I assembled it with a matching Snakes eyes Aerforce graphite shaft and snake eyes winn grip, and had the shaft "pured" too. At 44" length it was totally unimpressive, way too light even with extra weighting in the head, and I was only able to hit this club about 180 yards carry and another 20 yard roll. I tried more weighting with a ton of lead tape and still no success. It looked destined for an early trip to the useless club's bonepile. This year I decided to try again and extended the shaft 3" to 47". This alone took care of the swingweight problem, and immediately picked up 25 yards off the tee, with a nice power fade. The addition of using the new Precept Laddie balls but on another 25 yards or so, and I am now hitting 240 up tee shots with regularity. Golfsmith always makes a quality product as is this one, but honestly I would never have purchased this driver if I had heard it beforehand. Sounds much like a t beer bottle thrown against a brick wall...

I had my friend assemble it with a pro lite shaft cut to 44" and a golf pride tour velvet grip. The ball comes off effortlessly and the pro lite shaft is a good match for the head, it feels silky smooth.

I''m finally enjoying the benefits of this clubhead. It''s taken a few rounds and a switch to a Grafalloy ProLogic 95 r-flex shaft versus the Harrison Titanium Lite I had in it. The Harrison was only 72g and the ProLogic weighs in around 95g which has made a big difference for me. I can finally feel the clubhead in my swing and describe the feeling of swinging with the Graffaloy as having the ability to the smash the ball now. My point is to make sure the shaft you put on this club is matched to your swing! It pays off, really, if you think about it that''s the case with every club, but for this clubhead it''s CRUCIAL as far as I''m concerned. I''m a decent player who shoots in the low 80''s with a low 90 mph swing, smooth player.

If you''re going to buy one make sure you get the right shaft t hat fits your style of play. I had a Harrison TiLite with a low torque of 3.2* and mid-flex in the club head at a 45.5" length. I could control it, but wasn''t getting the bang off the clubhead that I had hoped for so I was very disappointed early on. I recently reshafted the club with a Grafalloy ProLogic 95 R-flex, mid-flex point and a 3.2* torque and Wow, what a difference. I pound the ball like a sledgehammer and it goes straight and very long. I golfed yesterday in weather conditions in Western PA where the temps were low 40''s and rainy. Drive of note was on a short Par 4, 321 yards. I had only about 50 yards left. We''re talking 270 yard drive from a guy who usually can max out at 250 or so. The course was wet to say the least. I can''t wait for the weather conditions to be in the mid 80''s and more normal. This is a GREAT clubhead if matched with the correct shaft for your game. As stated before, that will be the case with all your clubs, my caution is don''t be mislead that you can have any shaft in the darn clubhead, that''s all I''m trying to get across.

I was used to my olf Big Bertha driver, but decided to give this a try. It took a few rounds to get used to the different feel, but now I''m outdriving everyone I play with. The sound is definitely different than other clubs, but the who cares about sound? No one gets a par based on sound. I''ve found that even a lousy shot travels 200 in the air and 40 on the subsequent roll for 240 yard drives. I''ve hit it almost 290 when I really connect just right. The interesting thing is that I get the longest drives by taking a half swing. Golfsmith makes a nice product.

Took it to the range at 28F, averaging 15 yard longer than my ceramic driver. Draw, fade or straight at ease. Had ThermoPro shaft built to 47", very consistent. I got 235 on the course w my ceramic driver, looks like I am going to see some 250 yarder soon with this one. My swing speed is 80-95 mph, now has some real sense of non-conforming driver, this one truely helps, without too much effort. By far, the best I''''''''ve tried.
