I am a 12 handicap and have been playing for about 9 years. I hit the ball well off the tee about 250-270 yards but with a natural fade. The O2 is very long and straight with little effort. I hit four drives 300 yards today with no fade. It is made out of SP 700 beta titanium, 402 CC size, excellent construction, lifetime warranty. Awesome driver!! I just ordered one for my father-in-law. I bought this on the internet from Diamondtour golf. The SMT O2 head was $39 and the FGS tour 65 shaft was $18. Customer Service Great it was shipped in two days. Similar Products Used: Taylor made 580

Have your club maker put this together for you. Skip paying for fancy commercials staring athletes who make gobs of money. You'll thank yourself.

This is a nice lump of Titanium. I play it with a Grafalloy Blue Stiff shaft. It's a nice traditional shaped head which sets up very nicely behind the ball. The 400cc size is plenty enough and avoids that 'swinging a football' feeling some 450cc+ heads give. I could crap on about how you can work it left or right, high or low. But we all know it's the mug on the end of the club that does that and not the stick itself, right? It provides a lovely solid feel and a pleasing crisp sound - unlike my last driver which sounded like an AK47 going off in a tin can. The only dislike I have which is endemic in golf is the 1 degree closed clubface. It disappoints me that manufacturers cater to the lowest common denominator - i.e the perennial slicer. I have to adjust the clubhead at address, no big drama but annoying. Oh, the smokey finish on the top of the head is distintive and well funky, as is the lack of grooves. So many people ask "why the grooveless face?" Why?! 'Who needs backspin on a driver! Do Motorcycle racers use treaded tyres? Of course not! Unless you swing it the same over and over again, forget weight adjustments screws - they're a gimick. The O2 is nice price too. May all the worlds Gods bless China and it's cheap quality manufacturing. Customer Service Mint. Life time warranty - cool. My last driver cracked along the sole / clubface line. So these thin walled things do pack a sad occasionally. Similar Products Used: Taylormade R5N and R7. R7 clone. Mizuno MP001 |
