Ping Ti SI Drivers

Ping Ti SI Drivers

DESCRIPTION

From Ping: At 323cc the TiSI is the largest, totally custom-fit titanium driver available today. More importantly (for most golfers), it's also one of the longest-hitting drivers on the market.

Ok, Ok, I posted a message a few weeks ago about this driver, and gave it a pretty good rating after a few rounds with it. Since then I have played much more and now love it more than ever. All I had to do was slow down my swing, and all of a sudden I am crushing the ball. I am hitting fairways like never before, and have had many 300+ yard drives IN THE FAIRWAY!!! I was getting ready to switch shafts, but now have come to love the stock 350 stiff which really gets the ball up fast. I am now cutting the doglegs over the tall trees with room to spare, with just a slow smooth swing. I get no roll whatsoever, but actually drove a short par 4, 288 yard dog leg with a huge trap in the front and an elevated green, to my amazement had only a 6 footer for eagle. The divot was about 4 feet from where I ended up. I love this driver!! I am so happy I made the switch from my Titleist 975D. I am now hitting the ball just as long, but much more accurately with the TiSi. Anyone who is having trouble with this driver should just slow down and let the club do all the work. The results are amazing.

A friend of mine sold me this for 200$. I demoed every driver on the market. This was the tied for the best withg the taylor made 300 and 320. like the stok shaft as far as consistency goes. I may add a grafoloy prolite for more yardage. You dont need to kill it with this driver, I hit it about 260 with the 10 degree and a stiff shaft and a 95mph swing with a good ball flight.

I recently bought a Ping Tisi 8.5* with a UST Pro Force 65 stiff shaft installed by Ping's wrx debt and am stunned by it. I had heard all the hype, but I was using a Titleist 975D with the same shaft, and was happy with it. However, after seeing that all of the college players and mini-pro guys were using the Ping, I decided to treat myself to a used one for Christmas. My drives have been awesome ever since. This weekend I played with some buddies who all use the 975D and are usually close to as long as me (they putt better, so I still pay them at the end of most rounds) I was consistently 10-30 yards farther than they were, often breaking the 300 yard mark (full disclosure: I also had the new Pro V-1 ball by Titleist, which is nice as well). I hit the rest of my set brutally that day, so the Big Ping was my saving grace. If you can get used to how it looks and are willing to put in a better shaft (the stock Adila is weak), I'd consider buying it. It is longer and more forgiving than the 975D by a big margin, though the 975D is easier to work both ways. If I could figure out how to putt and chip with this thing I'd be on tour.

I have only used it for 2 rounds. I still am not used to the head (I still try to kill the ball on occasion). But, when I finally calm down and take a good swing, I hit a slight draw with a medium trajectory. I hit a few off the toe and they "hooked" slightly back into the fairway and went about 240. My "Good Shots" are rolling to about 260 or so. I averaged about 240 with my SuperSteel - which is a tremendous club also. The shaft has a high kick point (low flight) and a stiff tip. I do not "Balloon" the ball like others do. The shaft makes a big difference.

Bottom line: swing easy and you will be very pleased and add 20 yards without sacrificing forgiveness.

I bought this product because of the added distance it was supposed to impart... and I was not disappointed. I was sick of being one or two clubs longer than my opponents with my irons but equal or shorter off the tee. I don't have that problem any more. This club is long, accurate, and above all--forgiving. My mishits with this club travel as far as solid hits with my Adams SC driver. The first two par 5's I used with this club I reached in two with 5 and 7 iron respectively (both were 500+ yards.)

I have tried ALL the latest models... Mizuno, Calloway VFT & ERC, Deep Red, Titleist 975 D&J, Taylor Made 300 series, etc... The Taylor Made 360 was the only one that came close to this club--but close doesn't cut it.

Before I tried this driver, my drives, inconsistently, went 230 max. That usually didn't happen, though. Then I tried a big bertha hawkeye. It was alright. I tried a Taylor Made 300, 320, and 360. They were alright. Then I tried the Ping TisI. Holy crap! The ball flew amazingly far! I had a couple of my longest drives ever with it the other day. Around 240. The clubhead is huge, so even a crappy golfer can hit it well. I can just swing as hard as I want and not mishit it. If you are looking for a new driver, try this one out.

Bought club used and had it re-shafted at the PING factory w/ UST ProForce 65, would recommend factory reshafting, according to some pro's the hosel can be tricky with reshafting. This driver is easy to hit and the distance is incredible. I am a low ball hitter so the loft helps me get over hazards that I normally went into with my Firesole. The UST shaft is the best I've hit. The smoother the swing the better the result. Only drawback is the steep price. Hit the range a few times instead of paying $50 for a round and you can make up the difference, this club is worth some sacrifice.

This is the best driver I have ever owned.I have added at least 20 yards to my average drives (270yds)and will hit at least a couple monsters every round. If you look at all the good reviews you will find several things in common.
1.You must be fitted.Just because you try a friends does'nt mean it's fitted right for you.You have your irons fitted don't you.
2.The shaft should be changed to a lighter low torgue shaft.
3.It takes a little while to get used to the size. About as long as your first few good monster drives!
4. the club is very forgiving but once again you should have it fitted.
5. If you do the above you will be happy,if not you won't like it and won't have given it a decent chance.
6. Check out the ping site to learn about all the fitting options.
