I love this club. Just as accurate as my TM 200 steel shafted driver with a touch more length, very forgiving on off center hits. Thanks to TM for crushing my 200 and allowing me to demo on course and to purchase this club. Ping has done a remarkable job in hiding the size of this club and giving misthits a chance to make it into the fairway. with the blue shaft you can really get on it when you want to. I have never played Ping products before: always thought they were ugly...especially their drivers. This driver is not ugly....very sharp looking. It is just as long as any new driver out there. The difference I noticed is that it seems to be quite forgiving: shots that I would normally pull into the woods are now just in the left rough. I also love the fact that you can really customize your driver. For example, I hate closed clubfaces and you can get this one only 1/2 degree closed and in a flatter lie. GREAT DRIVER. My only complaint is the price: having to pay $400+ for a driver is ridiculous. Customer Service Excellent. Can order almost any shaft you want. I have played 1 round with this driver and was immediately impressed and satified with this club. I love the deep face, and feel very confident with the driver. I didn't care for Pings last 2 drivers, but I'm glad I purchased this one. Similar Products Used: Great BBII, Cobra 380 |

Ping Si 3 Driver
I have been playing the Red dot square face stock Si3 Shaft in regulsr flex with 9 degrees of loft and really like this driver. It has the most solid feel at impact. It is as long as any of its latest competition out there. It is very straight and quite forgiving too. The stock shaft is a great improvement over the 350 series in previous models. I have tried plenty of the latest drivers out there and this one is the best NO DOUBT! Customer Service Nobody can match PING in this area. They care and will fix the problem right a way. Their web site is also A+ Similar Products Used: Titleist 983k-Cobra 380SS-Ping TisiTEC-Taylor Made 540 & 580-Callaway GBBIII- Mizuno Blue Rage- Cleveland Launcher-KZG |

Ping I3
I picked up the new Ping I3 driver, 10 degree RSS with stock regular flex Ping shaft. First time on the course with it (9 holes) I hit most of the fairways, this driver is straight and long. Previously have used stock stiff shaft but tried this regular flex shaft and even when I lean into it a bit I was totally impressed. At first glance its a bit intimidating due to the deepness of the face but after a few hits it actually builds confidence. Truly impressed. Customer Service Ping has one of the best internet sites on line. Customer service at Pro Golf in Bel Air was great! Ping Si 9 degree black dot
This is a fantastic club and long. Only problem, fitting. I tried the stiff stock shaft, which is great. The black dot is 1 degree closed and standard lie. I would like to try 2 degrees upright and 2 degrees closed in 10 loft with the S shaft. It does make a huge difference. Flight is high for 9 degrees with a very strong launch angle and carry. I tended to fade the black dot with some slicing. Key here: get fitted. |

Si3 Driver 9 degree
I have been carrying around the SI9 and Taylormade R580 for about a month now. I pretty much narrowed it down to them, and both are a hell of a lot better than some of the other stuff out there. I hit both deep, but I am pretty wild (hence I shoot in the 90s.) The R580 is a damn nice stick...hell, Michelle Wie hits it 300 right? The problem is that it only goes nice when I swing really easy...and I don't. The R580 shaft is as sloppy as a drunk Pi Phi. It will go all the way, but feels squishy getting there. I tried my friend's 580 with a Harrison Shaft and it was 100 percent better. In comparison, the shaft on the SI3 feels like a custom shaft. I lean on it and it doesn't get squirrely. I hit it easy and I can feel the position of the head throughout. I am going with the Ping. Customer Service Ping is pretty much the standard by which others are evaluated. I sent back my TiSI 3 wood that I banged against the pillar at Mission Bay. They sent me a brand new one in under 5 days. Similar Products Used: ALL of them |
