Ping G2 8.5 aldila NV stiff
i had a 9.5 r7 previoulsy with a blue shaft, hitting it way to high. this ping with it being 8.5 goes a little lower but that will be down to the degree lower. i paid £180 and thats a bargin as i paid £330 for my r7 couple of weeks before it was released. all in all a very good driver forgiving not really that much longer but definatly more forgiving. Hello. I am not a huge golfer 5'3 100 pounds but i am a good golfer. The Ping G2 is a great golf club. I was hitting my Taylormade 580 about 230 yards. I switched to the G2 and My average is about 250 now. Its a great club for all ages. |

WOW What a great driver - LONG and consisted with great forgiveness. I am 5'10" and 185lbs with a swing speed of 100 to 105. I usually hit a slight pull fade that ends in the fairway about 235; however, I can really pull or slice if I get going too quick. Before this Ping, I was playing the Titlest 983K 9.5 degree with a 757 Fuji Regular shaft which I LOVED. However, I was really looking for both more forgiveness and distance. I went to two different large golf shops and demoed all the NEW large drivers by all the big makers (Cobra, Calloway, Titlest, Cleveland, Taylor, and MacGreggor). However, I did not demo the Ping for some reason (probably because I hit the club in a store net a few months earlier and was not impressed then). After thinking about things for over a week and reading all the reviews, I was all set to buy the Taylor R7 9.5 with the Fuji Reg shaft. At Golfsmith, they had me demo the R7 and R5 on the monitor. I seem to hit them pretty consistently but with the same pull fade at 235 like my Titlest. However, the launch angles were way too high at 16 to 18 degrees with moderate spin. R7 not any better or more consistent or longer than my 983k. I was really dissapointed but figured I saved myself $400. The sales person insisted that I try the Ping G2 8.5 degree with the N65 Stiff shaft. From the first hit, I loved the feel. Smooth feel and easy club to turn over with a draw given such a large head. What was even better was that according the launch monitor, I was consistently at 15 degrees launch with minimal to moderate spin - carry at 220 to 230. Taking it on the range and course, the Ping G2 is much more forgiving and LONGER than my 983K by about 10 to 20 yards both ways. I am having to put a bit more effort into working the ball because the tendency is for the ball to go long and straight but isn't that what we all want 90% of the time? Great Driver. I was having trouble controling my old Nike, but with this driver I can hit high, soft fades all day long. I have the graff. prolaunch blue in stiff. The clubhead, shaft, and headcover all look great. This price is way cheaper than the R7. You can't go wrong with this club. Similar Products Used: Nike Forged Ti. 350cc |

I played my new Ping G2 8.5 with Graffaloy prolaunch stiff shaft today for the first time. I drove a par 4 330 yard green today for the first time ever. I usually fight a large fade and I was hitting this club very straight. |

I just bought this driver and I'm glad that I decided to try it. I was looking into the Taylormade 580 XD, Titleist 983, and the Nike Ignite. Out of all those drivers this one worked out best for me. I added an average of 25 yards since changing from my off brand driver. I like to hit a high fade and sometimes hit a bad slice. This driver kept that slice in play and usually in the fairway all the time. It's a 10* with the stock shaft on it. A very dependable and easy to hit club. It feels almost weightless and requires little work from me. It definitely added distance but more importantly, it added accuracy. Customer Service Hope they are as good an experience as using this club has been Similar Products Used: Adams Redline 460, Cleveland Launcher,Cobra 460SZ, and Big Bertha |

Ping G2, NV 65
Excellent driver. I was tested on the vector launch monitor system on two separate occasions with exactly similar results. Compared the Ping G2 with Taylormade R5, R7, Cleveland Launcher 460 and 460 comp, Cobra 440SZ. It was quite amazing as the Ping G2 with NV 65 shaft was the longest(by 8-10 yards) compared to all others and had the second best dispersion pattern. The R7 was the most accurate but was 10-15 yards shorter in distance. My dispersion with the G2 was less than 10 yards, thus still staying in the fairway. The feel of this club is easily the best in class, and it sets up nice and square. After playing three rounds with this club I have found it is quite easy to work the ball, despite the large forgiving head. Would recommend this club to players of all levels. Get fitted for the correct shaft. There is no upcharge for premium quality shafts ie. NV, Graffalloy... that makes this club a true value. Ping G2 Driver NV shaft (R)
Great Driver. I love it. Drives are straight and long w/out a lot of height, which I like. However, tee it up just above the head, if not you will get off center hits. Got my 1st 300yd drive w/this baby!!! (5'9 175lbs) Customer Service I'm sure it's great Similar Products Used: Ping SI3, Clev Launcher 400, Mizuno |

G2 10* with NV65Stiff
After owning an awesome G2 fairway woods and reading so much nice things about the G2 driver. I went ahead to purchase one. Its one of the most forgiving driver ever used, soft feel and tight control. I normally hit about 220 meters carry, with my balls going everywhere using normal driver but today i went to 240 yards, Due to the confidence it gave me, I made some 260 plus meters straight down the driving range when i really hit it really pure. I sent couple of my local teaching pros teasing me. and they commented that Ping did a demo few weeks back in that range and they loved the G2 and they recommends it just as strongly as R5 or R7. I chose NV 65 coz i had the similar brand on my titliest and it suites my swing.( A Hitter). this driver really helps in bringing the ball up in the air. If you got a fast swing, its ok to choose lower loft ie 8.5 etc on NV65S even i bet, because the 10* is a bit too high in launch angle with my swing speed ( higher than my 3 wood G2 .) I personally like the NV65 very much because its a shaft that will perform with either a smooth or aggressive tempo. which sadly im one of those player with an erratic tempo. this shaft also got pretty tight pattern. Customer Service Good. Similar Products Used: R5 ( Not as long) 975J 8.5 ( cant use coz im a begginer. Custom Dynacraft , Callaway BB ( Not bad but not as long. |
